Please keep uploading, even though it is winter! We love to see everything, not just the work you do on the house and property. Also you enjoying a coffee or watching through the window or making plans or cooking or tending to your pets. The simple things. Where/how do you do your grocery shopping?
Borher, get the cat or a few of them. They will deal with mice issue and become good friend for you. 😉 Great videos! Thank you for the updates. Bless you God!
Really enjoy the peacefulness of your videos. Coming from a small village of South-Germany myself I can understand why you enjoy this state of living so much. Have lots of good thoughts during the dark season and hope you get an purring companion very soon.
It might look cold but it depends a lot on how dry it is, if you have high humidity in the air and wind it can feel colder with +5 than with low humidity and -10, besides the fact that you get used to the temperature where you live. So yeah -10 at the beginning of the winter can feel chilly but when you've had -20 to - 30 for some weeks and it gets warmer again to -10 that feels not cold at all.
@@allaboutperspective650 I am glad I do not live in Sweden! However, as a resident of England, the high price of gas and electricity means you have to be careful. I have been experimenting with having the boiler on continuously,, but set at a lower temperature versus having the boiler higher, but have it come on during pre-set times. In England, you can get -20 at night, but never by day. Usually when it is very cold in England, there are clear skies which means the house warms up as soon as the sun rises. I have found it is cheaper to have the boiler on timed rather than on all the time, Although the house does get very cold at night, you don't notice it. I think it might not be advisable to do this in Sweden!
@@AllensTrains I live in Jokkmokk just above the Arctic Circle the coldest I have had here was -42 I live on a hillside in town in the centre it's a bit lower thus colder they had -44. My heating comes from the district heating system and cost me in average 73 UK Pound, the electricity is a little bit less per month due to the fact that it's rather cheap here compared to further down south, our municipality produces 10.7 THw a year just from waterpower. Even when the temperature is low we don't have so much wind so that makes also a big difference.
@@allaboutperspective650 England does not have district heating. I don't use electricity for heating except for the microwave, washing machine and dishwasher! My energy usage is £74.85 of electricity and £111.17 of gas in November. The lowest temperature ever recorded in England is -26. The weathermen are predicting colder temperatures from next week, which means even colder still for you! Have fun.
Up North is pretty vague, when you ask people in the south of Skåne where Mora is they gladly say in the North of Sweden even though it's more than 200 south of the middle of Sweden. In the North many people consider everything south of Sundsvall the south of Sweden. I was born in Holland 30 km from Rotterdam but have lived 37 years in Simrishamn (South-East coast) and live now in Jokkmokk.
My two cats have “presented” me with five mice in the past not quite two years I’ve lived here, and, no doubt, there are more that I don’t know about. In terms of cooking I’m a believer in innovating. I hope that the meal was good.
Ich würde den Teich komplett ausheben und da später Koi drin halten und statt dem Schotterweg eine Holzbrücke für die Autos installieren. Das sähe bestimmt toll aus, aber ist auch viel Arbeit.

Great video, house is looking good, and love the countryside views. 🏡😊
Noch ein Vote für Videos im Winter 😇
Do not store firewood against the wall and clear away the trees and bushes closest to the house if you want to avoid mice.
Hope to c you soon! Inside or out❤
Great, keep us updated!
Love your videos
Merry Christmas David!
Why not get a cat to deal with the mice?

Greetings, you need a cat (or 2) to mitigate mouse problem.
