Man your videos keep getting better and better . There's so many things (basic) that people need to know, and no one wants to teach it . Thanks I for one appreciate it .And keep it coming , i'm learning a lot.
Nice job, Max. Even though I've had professional training for this kind of thing, I don't find it easy. Making good decisions at the roadside, with the stress of other people, blood, and uncertainty makes it very difficult to focus on the task at hand.
Damn! Max you continually amaze me with your selflessness and your sharing of valuable information! On behalf of all riders everywhere, that have benefitted from your videos, THANKS.
Yeah for sure, but its a lot easier to take off bicycle helmets it doesnt really take a special technique, and they dont normally go as fast as motorcycles so the mechanism of injury is decreased, altho the emphasis on keeping the head and neck still should be the same.
@mrmaxstorey Can the same be said about bicycle riders and taking off their head gear as well? Also megga Kudos to your volenteers for helping on this video.
I'm with vac0002. I went though CPR & First aid twice already, the first one though th Folsom FD. No one mentioned any of this not even the BRC I took to get my M1
Its just really bugged me man, its all over youtube whenever a bike goes down and knocks out the rider, first thing his friends do is run over and yank off his helmet. Thats the best way I can think of to acerbate a neck injury and cause permanent paralysis

I've got emergency level first aid, CPR and EAD training, and they never mentioned this. I just learned something! Thanks

A must see for any rider. Thanks!
Good Max, I've heard about this but had never seen it done.
@mrmaxstorey i always wondered what you did other than working on bikes like career wise so you are a paramedic huh? really cool!
Some helmets have emergency pull tabs that will release the cheek pads making it easier to take the helmet off
