The objective evidence is that Damian McFarren is a paid shill (and if NintendoLife keeps him on, they're in on it). Remember this is the guy that wrote multiple infomercials masquerading as news articles about the Polymega. The ultimate insult was when he published a piece about the Polymega being shown (past tense in the article) at GDC and it went up BEFORE GDC had even opened. I attended that GDC and asked around all day at booths where the Polymega was supposed to be shown and with developers they were "partnering" (a word Tommy also likes to abuse), and they were a total no-show. Their "partners" were like "yeah, we heard they were going to be here but we haven't heard a word from them and we'd really like to see if this thing is real". The NintendoLife article was total lies about how the Polymega was shown to press and developers at GDC (again, this was published BEFORE the conference even opened). It later turned out that Polymega wasn't at the conference. Forget about a booth, they apparently couldn't even afford to pay for a day pass. Instead they were in a hotel room somewhere in the Bay Area and invited some hand-picked "influencers" to see something in a shell. It was likely a generic SFF pc- because that's all a Polymega is, a PC in a custom shell running free, off-the-shelf emulators. Even though anybody could have made what they had made (given over a year and half a million in crowdfunding), they were still afraid to let a technically savvy audience (like those that attend GDC) get a close look at it. I guess they saw what happened to the Atari VCS.
Nothing brings Pat and Ian together like a good old fashioned Tommy Tallarico takedown. This has been going on for so long it's like a cherished tradition now.
This is a lesson on how to check your ego at the door and hire a PR person. I could give a shit about intellivision (no offense), but whenever I hear of it now, I’ll think of Tommy and this chapter. I mean that kinda hurts the brand, no?
I chatted with Tommy on Facebook and it was a good chat for a while until I asked him if the Amico was still coming out in October, needless to say he ended the chat and never responded to me at all…. So by him not responding to my question basically told me that his answer is “No”… lol
Is Tommy responsible for his cult members going after everyone who dares to criticize his plastic box? How many UA-camrs have been threatened, harassed, alt account abuse, etc. over their take on the Amico? As I said before, did some people buy a friendship with Tommy or the actual product? Neither Tommy who received $11 million in investment nor an upcoming console is ABOVE criticism. The "wait until it comes out" DOES NOT APPLY to the Amico, just like it didn't apply to Xbox, Playstation, Switch, Atari VCS, etc. Tommy is lucky Pat and Ian do not go after him for slander/libel.
I couldn’t believe how beyond awful that Nintendo Life puff piece was. It might be the lengthiest article ever on that site… a Nintendo-dedicated site… bending over for a non-Nintendo product. It read like a poorly-disguised paid promotion. Shame on NL.
The "parts shortage" didn't stop Evercade, PS5, Xbox Series X, NewWave Dragon's Lair, Xbox Series S from shipping in 2020. The parts shortage didn't prevent the Atari VCS, New Wave Asteroids, etc from shipping in 2021. It also looks like the "parts shortage" isn't keeping the PlayDate, Evercade VS, New Wave Q*bert, and the Switch OLED from shipping before the year is over. Also, how can the "parts shortage" affect software? Why has there been no visible progress on software in a year? Compare this to PlayDate who did suffer a delay from 2020 to 2021 BUT it gave them additional time to make MORE software (so you are guaranteed 24 games instead of 12 included with the purchase). Instead the number Amico launch titles keeps dropping. He initially promised over 60 at launch and last I read (Tommy keeps moving to goal posts, so it may have changed again) it was down to 20 launch titles.
@WarPumpkin Yeah, I feel if he's having trouble finding parts using 2015 era SOC's in 2021 is probably a huge part of it. I can't imagine those are still currently being produced new out of a factory. That leaves sourcing whatever finite supply currently exist or paying someone to make them for you special.
Honestly, I wonder if the 'article' was just an ad that Tommy's gang bought. I had the option of buying some articles on the local Fox and NBC website from that Dendy guy that always advertises on Facebook, but those are clearly labeled as sponsored. Maybe Tommy did a similar thing with a regular contributor.
Tommy keeps saying it's not crowdfunded. So if it's not, then Tommy LIED in his SEC filing papers because those say the Amico is CROWDFUNDED. If Tommy's answer is "well that's just the government's definition of crowdfunding", then my response is "then it's the legal definition of 'crowdfunding' and that's the only one that counts". Tommy keeps making his own definitions to words, so he can later claim he didn't lie. Words like "exclusive", "partnership", "publisher", "physical games", "Global Director", "temp contractor", "consultant", "industry standard", "close friends", "game designer", "original ip", "copyright", "hack", "leaked", "force feedback", etc.
This system is going to be downed by their own doing, evercade VS, and Playdate. They have a system the caliber of a 150$ console, but are charging Switch prices.

Just saw the Steam Deck announcement. Won't Valve be embarrassed to find out it's impossible to ship a console this year because of the "parts shortage". Guess they don't have the Amico's "600 years of experience".
If a million monkeys take a million years to write the completed works of William Shakespeare, I'm sure a couple of parrots could whip up a Nintendo Life article in five minutes.
At this point, this is turning into more of a circus than the Atari VCS, which is really saying something considering all of the BS that surrounded that. It had nothing but problems during its development, with numerous delays, key personnel leaving, dodgy interviews, misinformation, hardware changes and more. I think this is beginning to get to the level where it's eclipsing that, which is a pretty good achievement, I must admit.
He didn't even compose the entire soundtrack! A whole bunch of games he's credited for had other composers, usually only in the manual. Including Cool Spot, Genesis Aladdin, Sega Mega CD Terminator.
It's kinda amusing to a point but also sad. This is a grown man, the CEO of a company no less, acting this way. Lots of companies/products get criticism from people and just keep going. Tommy gets criticism for *anything* and flips out at anyone that doesn't agree with him. Instead of constantly making an ass of yourself just man up and get your product out.
Before, I compared this guy to Derek Savage. I now realized that was an unfair comparison, as he had no dignity to start with. A better comparison would be Butch Hartman, on so many levels.
You know it's really sad because when alone was started a few years ago I thought the Atari and the coleco systems were the biggest joke on Earth, but they're quickly being overshadowed by the intellivision Fiasco
Tommy comes across as being both super insecure about himself while also having a big ego, which seems like an unhealthy combination. And shame on Nintendo Life for platforming an obvious liar.
I used to like ReviewtechUSA. I used to enjoy watching his video. It was getting a little tougher to watch Rich's stuff, but I still soldiered on and watched them b/c I thought some of what he had to say was interesting, I didnt always agree with him but I thought his stuff was interesting, nonetheless. When he showed up on video going on about the Amico and wearing all the merch, I was done. I unsubbed when he decided that he LOVED Tommy and Tommy Tallerico could do no wrong. The fact that he said he wasnt a shill for the Amico was laughable. And even when Tommy ghosted him, he acted more concerned than pissed off like he should have been. It was like he reazlied what Tommy was but didn't want to say the truth. I do think you're right Pat when you say that he was trying to side with Tommy to take you guys down, however I think that was only part of it. It seems like he actually liked Tommy as a person too. Edit: I have to add this, after thinking about it. Tommy claims to be pals with Shigeru Miyamoto, yet said this about the Switch @ 22:30. Which is it Tommy? Are you friends with Miyamoto or does the Switch promote all those things you mentioned? I'm fairly certain Miyamoto wouldn't approve of those things on his console if it was true.
I didn't watch the first video Rich did with Tommy, but i did watch a chunk of the second one. and I didn't get the pick up on the fact that he "Loved" Tommy. he asked questions from the chat amongst his own and for the most part he didn't really say much he just Tommy talk. if you ask me that's a good thing! cause when you bullshitting people and running a scam, a long form discussion like that isn't good thing. anybody who listened to that could tell that winging it and making shit up as he went along lol. what did you want RIch to do treat it like he was on the stand in the court room lol.
It's not hard to admit that this console will end up being a huge laughing stock if it ever releases this year. Tommy has become the Butch Hartman of the Game Industry.
I was going to say something about it being the next OUYA but at least the OUYA tried, and fell on the face and was outdated hardware the moment it was released, but they did try. The Amico here is a joke, it's slightly above the Comico Chameleon but slightly underwhelming than the Atari VCS. Sounds really promising...
"You earn respect, nobody deserves respect" - Ian Exactly, couldn't agree more and I think that's one of the main issues of current generation comfy believes.
I think being considerate and respect are two different things. You can be considerate but that doesn't mean they have earned your respect. This is something ppl should realize
@@Chronologo that's right! That was an old discussion I had with a friend, We should be courteous, civil and polite from the get go, with each other... you can decide then if a person deserve that treatment if they are not to you. But respect is a value you earn. P.E. A nurse who works 10+ hours with covid patients has my absolute respect and on the other side a twitch Thot who is seating on her ass and showing doesn't reserve respect from me at BUT, that doesn't implies I should be un polite, rude asshole to her. Same with the nurse even if she treats me bad (because she is tired, bad mood etc) she still has my respect and is on my decision to keep giving them her civil or polite treatment... to deal with her bad mood... probably I do.
It kinda reminds me of when Marv Albert retired recently. All these players and TV personalities were saying all these nice things about him and im sitting here going, "Have we all forgotten the women he raped and assaulted with bites? Or the other woman he assaulted by biting? God I hate people.
Wow I was interested in the Amico for a little while since I learned about it at E3 but the more I learn about it, it's history, and it's horrible leadership the more I'm convinced that its just cheap gimmicks being used to distract from the investment scam that it is. Kudos to you guys for calling it like it is and not falling for the hype and deception!
Pat, here's another point. Does tommy encourage the crazies? Did tommy Ever say that turbojoe was wrong for threating people. Or relic gamer was wrong for doxxing people. When has tommy Ever told people he considers his friends to behave themselves. This is different from randos on youtube trashing critics, these are people in tommy's inner circle. So is tommy responsible because he never has tried to stop them. Can tommy point to a time when he told his followers not to attack you or Ian.
I cant recall of any time where he instructed anyone to attack Pat or Ian. The crazies are just in the same league as the 'haters', both sides dont typically look at the details/criticisms themselves, but rather import the opinion of others to formulate their own. While I did preorder, I wouldn't defend the product as if I was an employee, nor would I blindly believe Tommy is somehow plotting to screw anyone over like a Batman villain. All in all, this is entertainment; just, how serious do they want to let it affect them? (The haters or fanboys alike)
@@gdubbz884 Very fine people on "both sides"? Not a good argument to make. It doesn't matter if you haven't seen Tommy personally instruct these people to engage in these activities, the people named HAVE done all these things yet are still to this day part of Tommy's inner circle and invited to his events and posing for group photos. When you have TurboJoe making a UA-cam video (so there's no doubt he did it) and threatening people with stuff like "I will slap you like a women" and Tommy still keeps him as part of the self-named "Amico mafia", it shows Tommy approves of that behavior.
@@gdubbz884 Tommy does encourage this by going on their attack videos of Pat and Ian and making comments of encouragement. When tommy goes on one of these attack videos and says "Great point. You really told those losers off. Nailed it." He is giving them a pat (no pun intended) on the back. A virtual high five. Why would tommy spend time with these individuals when he was in Easton, PA. Going out to dinner these individuals is more than encouragement. It feels like it's a requirement. Tell me what ceo would go out to dinner with individuals acting like this?
@@MrTBoneSF Not at all what I said, but I understand what you're saying. I feel both sides are toxic to their own fanbase, where I I just want to see if this thing even comes out. Having it be good, or fun is another story.
Mike Lindell actually produces a real product and sells it and has many satisfied customers, unlike Tommy, so pretty much exactly the opposite of fake CEO cosplayer Tommy.
Does anyone remember Sam Tramiel from the Atari Jaguar days? I get the same type of vibe from Tommy, and I mean that in the worst way possible. But at least Sam didn't really say anything that could get him sued
I reached out to Tommy to see if he wants to be on my first video even though I have no subscribers. I’ll give good coverage if I get 3 free shirts. :) Warehouse needs rags at work.
Crazy how Tommy's out there accusing critics of awful stuff while his childhood friend, Chris Szarek, was tweeting awful things to Pat-including implied violence.
You need to scrub through his interview with IndieGamer Team. At 37:45 he talks about how gameplay videos will only hurt him because people would say they look like mobile games. Never mind the teams behind Breakout and Night Stalker who have actually-talented art directors
The best thing the Amico has yeilded so far is Cyrus Martins drunken "amico hater" rant in a scuzzy looking basement while Tommy was trying to show off his "console".
Keep your options open. It's not out of the realm of possibility that his comments are up for legal review for slander of your character at the very least.
I was actually on-board with the Amico when it was first announced. Not because I thought it was a good idea (it wasn't) nor because I thought it would be successful (it won't), but because I thought it was just a fun passion project. Fast-forward to today and I'm glad I never pre-ordered a system because Tommy Tallarico is actively slaughtering his own company. He seems completely unhinged at this point, even beyond narcissism, and it's a damn shame. I know he was egotistical to begin with and never took criticism well, but this is on a whole other level. He needs to shut up and hire a proper PR team, though I fear it's already too late at this point.
Ian was fired up this week! It is amazing at how much further of a hole Tommy is digging himself into as each week and each controversy passes by. You would think he would try to mitigate the damage but instead he just keeps throwing fuel on the fire and making it worse for himself.
@@ezg2000 how can you kill something that was probably doomed from the start? Even before all the delays and Tommy moments it sounded kind of dumb. Its just gotten worse.
I'm no Tommy shill. Dude's seemed to go off the deep end. But if you like certain game soundtracks or watched early G4 (especially Electric Playground), you probably know of him. Doesn't mean he deserves respect.
I don't know about that. This isn't defending Tallarico, but Pat and Ian should realize they have a few rotten fans that could pull off death threats. They underestimate that it could happen since there's always a few nuts in any big name UA-camrs that ruin it for a UA-camr's fanbase.
@@sull56ivan2010 Tommy acting like Tommy is COMPLETELY Tommy's fault. Pat and Ian simply calling him out on it is just that. They aren't saying anything that isn't fact. Simply put, EVERY "personality" has some fans that are "less than stellar". That's no fault of Pat or Ian. The whole Amico fiasco, as a whole, was not properly thought out. Tommy just wanted in a game he simply wasn't prepared for and he can't take the criticism when it comes his way. Personally, it doesn't matter to me either way? I'm just in it for the comments.
Thomas has a "pick a fight, then play the victim" mentality. I really believe that if threats were even made, they were fabricated by one of his supporters.
@@adamhoffoss5768 It kind of is Pat and Ian's fault. I'm sorry, but you can't be that oblivious and underestimate when a few rotten fans go overboard with death threats. I don't know which side is telling the damn truth. Seriously, both are at fault.
I did a search cause I didn't know people still harping on you... and all the videos are 4 months or longer... and yet you still are right... still not out and still not amazing.
Tommy Tallerico is pulling a cult leader move, he's fostering a us vs them mentality so his few supporters will be less likely to question things. All cults do it. Tommy Tallerico is less a CEO and more a cult leader. I mean you have these people constantly telling Tommy how loyal they are, how they never let "them" and their "lies" make them waver or falter. It's scary really just how insane this all is, especially since it's a low end console aimed at kids and families. I weep for humanity
I hate Tommy as well, have since I worked with him on Advent Rising. Pat look us up at Socal Retro man, Retronation. I got stories. He farmed out 95% of his work. He didn't even do the soundtrack for Advent like he was suppossed to..he hired someone and they did all the work.
This is the big set up for Tommy to cancel the Amico and blame it on Pat and Ian. He will say that his personal safety and the safety of his family and friends is more important than the console so he has to step down and cancel everything and will put the blame on you guys.
The sad thing is, this could have been a fun (and cheap) little novelty game system that people could have had fun with. However, try-hard narcissism prevails again. You guys have always been forthright and quick to acknowledge your mistakes but even then you’ve never once incited pitchforks and torches. You’ve catalogued the failures and missteps of this situation and nothing more. I guess at the end of the day, clown shoes will always be clown shoes.

The more and more I hear about this shit, the more and more I see this at pharmacies
“Lies! Deceptions! How long can you lie? Bur Gullet will know!”
He prolly thought he had a great cash grab and then realized he was in way over his head
@@jsc315 How much do you wanna bet that some of of the Amico exclusives will end up on the Switch eventually?
"You earn respect, nobody deserves respect" - Ian
Exactly, couldn't agree more and I think that's one of the main issues of current generation comfy believes.
I think being considerate and respect are two different things. You can be considerate but that doesn't mean they have earned your respect. This is something ppl should realize
@@Chronologo that's right!
That was an old discussion I had with a friend,
We should be courteous, civil and polite from the get go, with each other... you can decide then if a person deserve that treatment if they are not to you.
@@ethanliddle9008 Tommy doesn’t rape and bite
Wow I was interested in the Amico for a little while since I learned about it at E3 but the more I learn about it, it's history, and it's horrible leadership the more I'm convinced that its just cheap gimmicks being used to distract from the investment scam that it is. Kudos to you guys for calling it like it is and not falling for the hype and deception!
Jay Allard needs to sue
@@gdubbz884 pat isn't hanging around with crazy "haters" but Tom is calling crazy fans his friends.
I’m surprised Nintendo isn’t going after Tommy for that quote.
Yeah because he practically committed slander saying that.
@@chrislenz No it’s bc they aren’t going to sue a company when it isn’t worth anything.
i would love to see Nintendo sue him for every penny he has.
Tommy Tallerico is now the Mike Lindell of the gaming world. So sad for him.
Mike lindell is a special kind of stupid and it’s sad that you are correct.
@Man-Pac That's a lot of people ripped off by being suckered into buying homeless pillows
Mike Lindell actually produces a real product and sells it and has many satisfied customers, unlike Tommy, so pretty much exactly the opposite of fake CEO cosplayer Tommy.
Tommy tries to railroad everything with his false narrative, but it's flying off the tracks and towards a major wreckage.
Does anyone remember Sam Tramiel from the Atari Jaguar days? I get the same type of vibe from Tommy, and I mean that in the worst way possible. But at least Sam didn't really say anything that could get him sued
I wanted a Jaguar for those first 2 months it was shown in the gaming rags way back when. It fell apart rather quickly
What would he have done if youtube existed back then Sam Tramiel got everything from his fathers work.
I reached out to Tommy to see if he wants to be on my first video even though I have no subscribers. I’ll give good coverage if I get 3 free shirts. :)
Warehouse needs rags at work.
Pat and Ian with the right hook, OH and the left hook! Good ol 4 year old Tommy boy keeps getting back up. I'm waiting for that uppercut.
Tommy furiously taps the jab icon, but....oh no! There's a lag with his controller!
@@juicyfruit6311 Damn, yours is better.
Crazy how Tommy's out there accusing critics of awful stuff while his childhood friend, Chris Szarek, was tweeting awful things to Pat-including implied violence.
Yeah, he blocked me and protected his twitter account after I called him out on his shit lol. Luckily there are screenshots online.
Time for Tommy to get the sack and start this project over from scratch..Honesty is the main focus.
You need to scrub through his interview with IndieGamer Team. At 37:45 he talks about how gameplay videos will only hurt him because people would say they look like mobile games. Never mind the teams behind Breakout and Night Stalker who have actually-talented art directors
"We can't show our games for too long or else people will realize what they actually are!". Tommy often says the quiet part out loud.
The best thing the Amico has yeilded so far is Cyrus Martins drunken "amico hater" rant in a scuzzy looking basement while Tommy was trying to show off his "console".
Is that what that was? I thought it was someone's entry in the "Best Alex Jones Impression" contest.
Possibly! Either or, it made me a fan of Whiteclaw.
Has Tommy Gizmondo wrecked his ferrari yet?
Pat that's tommy's M.O. First tommy attacks people and when those people respond to tommy. He acts like a Crybully and plays the victim.
What Tommy said about the switch...HOLY SHIT!!! WTF???? #Nintendo #Switch #Nintendoswitch 22:27
Ian is HEATED!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ian yells: "don't be a douche bag"
Me: proceeds to spray bang energy drink from my nostrils across the room striking my cat 🤣
Ian was fired up this week! It is amazing at how much further of a hole Tommy is digging himself into as each week and each controversy passes by. You would think he would try to mitigate the damage but instead he just keeps throwing fuel on the fire and making it worse for himself.
Tommy motto is double down. As you can see, it's killing the amico. 😁
@@ezg2000 how can you kill something that was probably doomed from the start? Even before all the delays and Tommy moments it sounded kind of dumb. Its just gotten worse.
@@CaptainRufus At least it's good theater. 😁
I'm no Tommy shill. Dude's seemed to go off the deep end. But if you like certain game soundtracks or watched early G4 (especially Electric Playground), you probably know of him. Doesn't mean he deserves respect.
Pat was prophetic there 4:20 . Several months later and Tallarico and Amico are out of AtariAge on the seat of their pants.
If Tommy really believed in his product, he should forgo any payment until it is released.
Frustrated Nintendo Life hasn't been brought to task over this
This may put off some people but I just LOVE the drama. So funny!
Same. It's a non-stop source of entertainment. I've never known such drama over a games console before. It's turning into a soap opera :)
just when you think tommy can't fall any lower he finds a new rock bottom
Kids in compromised positions? Wait, there's a Steven Tallarico dating simulator on the Nintendo eShop?
Dude is acting up over a system that only going sell like 5 systems lol . Yep he is a buckethead
Dude, this guys has completely lost touch with reality. Hes living in a bubble of his own blowing. Its gonna pop.
YEEEEEEES!!!!! I've been waiting for this!
Death threats are completely ridiculous, but Tommy is really just doing this all to himself.
I don't know about that. This isn't defending Tallarico, but Pat and Ian should realize they have a few rotten fans that could pull off death threats. They underestimate that it could happen since there's always a few nuts in any big name UA-camrs that ruin it for a UA-camr's fanbase.
@@sull56ivan2010 liars will say anything at anytime. Good luck putting stock in anything tt says
Can we just get together and buy poor Tommy a dump truck full of salt for his efforts?
Man a porkchop sandwich would be great instead of this spotted banana for lunch.
You know what would be even better for lunch? Village People.
Atari creep was crying about not getting to go to crayon wank fest WHILE he was vacationing at disney. Come on.
Tommy should really hire a PR manager. He's just not good at it.
This is the big set up for Tommy to cancel the Amico and blame it on Pat and Ian. He will say that his personal safety and the safety of his family and friends is more important than the console so he has to step down and cancel everything and will put the blame on you guys.
This is getting gooood. *Grabs more popcorn

Holly smokes, Thx for the update on the Polymega guys!
I am honestly not sure why Nintendo hasn't sued him, he seems to falsely connect himself so much with them and at the same time be attacking them.
