It depends on what size of weights you are needing. If you need a large weight such as I made you need to use an 11" balloon so that the latex has a lot of play in it. You can use a 5 inch but only fill a tiny bit, one pump or less. If you pump it up 2 or three times you will stretch it almost to its breaking point. I use 5" when I just need a tiny bit of weight to stabilize a small decoration such as my small balloon Christmas Tree :)
