I just sold my m2 macbook air for $900 and bought this for $900. The macbook was ok but Mac and C# do not get along and the fact apple limits the display out to one monitor, unless you get the 1800 dollar 14" pro or higher, despite its power is a very apple thing to do that was the nail in the coffin for me. My 2016 macbook could do that.... excited to try this out.
@ivankyrlan So far I love it, I got the 16GB RAM 512GB storage version and swapped the ssd with a 2TB western digital black drive. The screen is gorgeous, performance is impressive. It was a smooth transition. Only thing is if you are new to widows 11, windows onedrive is enabled by default and I had to turn that off, it eats up a ton of resources and it will sound like your computer is trying to render a video or something while idle.
How's the ZenBook trackpad compared to MacBook? I'm also considering the ZenBook, but I'll mostly be using the trackpad, and heard that nothing comes close to MacBook trackpads.

It tracks really well, no palm issues. The only thing is the whole pad doesn't click like the macbook. I actually liked the click but I got used to it not being there pretty quick. Its also nice that you can use the track pad as a number pad. I have a dell laptop work computer and that track pad is a nightmare, I rather use a $10 usb mouse and carry it everywhere. I don't feel the need to carry a mouse with the zenbook but I do still like the apple one better.

@@delijakomita5994 I recommend it if the specs match your needs. I haven't had any issues with it. The battery isn't as good as the macbook but its still not bad for a windows computer. I don't game on it though, that would be where its weak unless you only play e sports titles that can run on a potato. Of course you can always do an eGPU over thunderbolt if you wanted to. Also the m.2 ssd says its PCIE 4.0 but its speed suggests otherwise, so I would get the 512GB version and toss in a samsung 980 or WD black drive.

I bought this laptop last week...its freaking amazing laptop ..i come from only 17.3 inch laptops...my las one was an asus rog g17 ..this is smaller screen but the OLED makes the difference...also laptop is very quiet and really cold because of the aluminium body.

What is the real battery life for a continuous "Video straming" real test none stop? I tested another new Zenbook model. It was 5 hours max with the same specs.
When he says 8 hours on medium intensity work thats 100% LIE. No chance . This notebook can do 5-6 hours of typical office work, not more (maybe max 7 hours for a very light work and very low brightness) . That is reality . I don't have a problem with that, I'm happy that I can get a 5 hours battery life with a max brightness and great perforemance
I just ordered the zenbook 14x oled ux3404, with the i9 chip, 32 gigs ram, 1000 gig storage, and the gtx 3050. All seems well aside from people saying the battery life will suck because of the 3050 and that it will be noisy. I am only going to be using it for university work. I have a 30 day return policy on it, can someone who has the laptop tell me if it is worth buying? I got an open box deal for $1800 Canadian.

Hello! I own ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED UX3404VA-M9015W. Aida64 shows a RAM latency of 160 ms, which is inadequately high. I am looking for the same owners to confirm or refute a factory “bug” or defect, although this does not affect the operation of the laptop at all.
He's killing me, not so much because I' ve hurried to buy something close more than one year ago, losing the i7 gen 1, the touchscreen, and the second thunderbolt port, but I paid 1,5 K $ - that being more than one month income for me - and now this guy just tells me that adding all those goodies he went to ... 1,2 K, man, this is ... humiliation !
Not sure if I got a defective unit but I've just returned this as really unhappy with it. Overheats doing simple tasks. I don't get where the 32gb of ram is going, it stuttered a lot for me. Gaming is a no. There were some positives. The oled 3k screen is absolutely gorgeous. Never seen a screen like it and now struggle to watch other people's tvs etc. Everything seems so washed out in comparison to this screen. It's also very light and easy to carry around. Other than that, no way near worth the price imo.
Not sure how you got 'bad' from 'Not that amazing' and 'Which I have to say is fairly decent'. I think considering the specs its very reasonable but not mind blowing.
