This needs to be archived as a textbook example of frustrating an opponent's pressure with dynamic movement. Ramen's pov here was just delightful but I'm still amazed by how much Pillager can squeeze out of his weight class.
What if they made stagger time dependent on the weight of your ac, I feel like it would be a major buff to the lightweight builds without removing the tank factor of the heavier builds
The problem is is that the stats are broken. In fact me and a buddy have figured out a heavyweight biped that can instaD stagger if you use the right parts. And I'm pretty sure this head and body combo is what's causing some issues with tanks de-staggering as well. The game is broken with a patched in is broken. And it's not even close to working the way it's supposed to so let's stop lying to ourselves and being like oh that's already how it works no it's not.@@HamstahFwend
@@keplomancerit was supposed to work that way but it doesn't. Not only is there a glitch with heavyweights where they can insta-de stagger now but the gap between stagger times is just not long enough.

I never thought I'd be seeing more hate for BVO then any of the ultra broken laser builds or missile rats that ignore the part of the game where you have to actually hit your enemy. But I guess we have a large laser tank player base in these comments.
Probably because lower ranks are infested with BVOs. I would know. I keep running into other BVOs as a BVO. Not that I mind. It just lets me figure out how to play a BVO against other BVO (and lose because I am bad at the game).
Ramen Sephiroth with the one wing missile launcher vs Aphrodite Strife with the buster laser cannon was a great match too. Really amazing fights in general.
@@MatsuzoSF … Yes? Isn’t that literally how being unique works? Nothing wrong with anybody BVOing! It’s *literally nothing unique, new, or frankly thag interesting to watch though*. maybe a lot of people are not terminaly ill on achieving a letter in a competitive setting , you know some people seek to have fun and interesting fights.
@GrayFolxy And that's fine, but beyond the letter, there's a clear lack of understanding in how weapons like vientos fit into the S rank sandbox. BVO has very few favorable matchups in the current meta; it just happens to be very strong against less optimized setups common in lower ranks. Any adjustment to vientos absent any other changes would, at this stage, complete destroy LW rushdowns as a competitive archetype. The ideal range of the ducketts, coquillets and Sanpu are not sufficient to safely engage most heavies in the way vientos can, and even then it's oftentimes an uphill battle.
@TheRealzeusmane Top 100 builds are primarily LCB tanks, Lamm kites, zimm/shield heavy bipeds, Omera tanks and kite/elevator options. On PSN, there are only two LW BVOs in the top 100 as of making this comment, and zero in the top fifty. To climb S, you need an 85%-95% winrate, increasing as you progress. People at the very top will play whatever provides the best overall chance of achieving that winnrate. The fact that, again, there isn't a single LW BVO in the top fifty on PSN speaks to the overall lack of favorable S matchups the build has.
@landbeforetimeee yes that makes sense ur initially comment doesnt.. you say hate for it shows ppl arent s rank but the bvo is a crutch to get to s rank with some luck if you avoid matching up with tanks .. it isnt too crazy against ppl who are already in s rank n build optimal.. the hate for bvo is warrented but your initial comment makes it sound like ppl who hate bvo are not skilled.. with the patch that just came out makes your initial comment lack luster even more now.
Next patch they need to nerf the vientos, it's making the game so broken. It should not be possible to aim vientos with the worst aiming arms in the game.
Viento and Zimm need a biblical nerf All heavy AC parts need to take 2 times more direct damage or something to make them not fucking immortal Assault riffles and machine guns need velocity increase and impact increase Bounce mechanic need a fucking rework
There is a balance problem yet unsolved. vientos are needed because without them the LW ACs don't have meaningful tools to fight heavier builds, a problem with the high burst nature of the stagger.
Vientos aren't that broken. You're basically required to use the Ocellus FCS to get that level of accuracy, which forces you into close range. BVO's mid-range ordinance options are limited because of FCS choice. Missles are the best option but still not great because of the Ocellus's missile lock correction.
@@MatsuzoSF It's just so lame to see either tanks, or lightweights with vientos and basho arms. I tried like 6 medium builds against the same player, got mopped, put on vientos and basho arms, won every single round.
