Italy woke up and played well for 10-15 minutes after going behind. Spalletti ruined the momentum with frequent substitutions and tactical shifts. The equaliser was a consequence of individual determination and skill from both Calafiori and Zaccagni; not Spalletti's tactical acumen. Great tournament so far. I'm particularly enjoying the physicality and drama.
James has always been the best in the business; smart, witty, encyclopedic, fair and balanced, chilled and ego-free, unlike the pompous Gary Lineker. The only other anchor who comes close is the great Des Lynam.
James Richardson. You should check out some of the old Football Italia clips on UA-cam. He is a legend for many (Italian) football fans going back to the 90's.
As a Croatian leaving abroad for many years, I think Croatia is a unique country in the world for the following: when you mention it to someone, very many people will know it for football/Šuker/Modrić and nothing else. Some will not know even football, some will know about Dubrovnik or some random thing, but a very large number will know just one thing and it is football-related. That is surely not the case with any other country. People either know their football AND (many) other things or they don't know about their football if they are not fans of the game.
The English....always over estimating England, always underestimating every one else they haven't heard of just because they don't play in the EPL. Stay safe all. Peace.
I think he's confusing hitting long balls and cross field passes into space with accurate short/mid range passes on the deck to people's feet when they're in tight spaces.
@j.s3300 Even in 3rd place with 3 points, a goal difference of -1 and a win in the bag, Italy were still heading to the Round of 16. Where they were due to face the winner of Group E (Belgium, Romania, Ukraine), fairly easier opponents than Switzerland. For Italy's group, the difference between 2nd and 3rd was really academic. Their situation was never as dramatic as your English pundits make it sound
The European union hates Italy. France is the poster boy of Europe. Mass immigration. Monolithic Europe dead! The Globalist run media hates anyone that promotes sovereignty and a nationalist identity. Every other country can promote this. Not Europe!
@@francistumwesige1028 your english pundits too, considering how much time you spend listening to them. Italy have largely been poor...congrats on qualifying.
Michael Cox is unfamiliar with some mid-tier La Liga players. Fine, Michael. Now please consider the rest of the world's thoughts when it comes to Mark Guehi, Anthony Gordon, Connor Gallagher and some random Adam dude in the England squad. But yet the world must TREMBLE at those, eh?
It works most of the time, though back in 2008, the Dutch did the same thing - after looking like World beaters in their first two games - and it unsettled their rhythm in the second round, being partly responsible for their early exit.

Who is the presenter? He is awesome so much better than the BBCs to the Sky Sports etc. I love him such a vibe!

Jimbo is fantastic. Easily the best presenter we have in the UK ❤

Big Jimbo fan but wish they had the guardian producers. Segments are too short plenty of junky bits like commentary clips, no long conversations.
You nailed it.
Isn't it obvious this is live and not the edited podcast
How did he say with a straight face that TAA has a better range of passing than Kroos
Because they have seen him play?

@@matthewdobson100 Kroos is better at both. Like listening to Skys Fan TV …
@@matthewdobson100 yes and Trent does that to. Hence why its called a range of passes and why Klopp pretty much built a team around his passing
The story of how English pundits, including everyone on this show, convinced themselves that Italy would crash out in the group.
Mate, they were seconds away from being third. Breathe

PL is the most watched league in the world. So people probably know those players
Smart move to rest most Spanish starters!

England quarter final exit, just mark my words.
I could tell you a few stories. Your git comments section mean that will never happen 😁
