See some 2021 ATL names in here. Nowadays for the WPAC, we use international names like Dujuan, Kong-rey, and Mujigae. Those are names given by the Japan Meteorological Agency, but can be in multiple languages.
@@lol-yz2kd If old typhoon naming system kept, it would be easier to hypothetical typhoon makers to invent storm names for WPAC. I tried to make my WPAC list myself(with JMA names) and it took 3 months for me to find names. I was able to find some cool names like Xiangyao, Saohoa, Chichou, Ryoshi, Galit and others, but was hard.

There is a debate whether or not 1994 pacific typhoon season was the 2nd or 6th most active season as both hurricane Li and John cross the WPAC and made this season the second most active but if it wasn’t for these two hurricane then it would’ve been the sixth most active season on record so all 1971, 1961, 1965 and 1967 had 35 storms tied the second most active season just behind 1964 with 39 storms.
Wpac will probably be inactive this year due to a strong la niña. Atlantic will be hyperactive and possibly have its worst season. But 2025 might be an active year for the wpac.

But this year WPAC has been rather below normal with 23 named storms as compared to 26-27 named storms. With only 2 super typhoon- Haishen and Goni. In fact The TOTAL number of storms produced in Pacific basins(West -23 and East-16) is equal to 39!
About 75% of the storms drift into cold waters often. But the 25% stenghten in the Philippine sea mostly but sea temperature changes overtime soo most likely its random and also "wind shear"
