The 1979 Pacific Typhoon Season was a fairly active season in total. This season however is primarily known for one main storm, that storm of course being Super Typhoon Tip, which is known for having one of, if not the lowest pressure recorded.

7:37 the legend itself.
How big?
Tip: YES
7:59 TIP IS THE STRONGEST!!!!
Strongest tropical cyclone in the history
Most intense*
@@ForcerFifteen-cq6ncsame thing
Haiyan aswell
Tip became the largest Tropical Cyclone in record.
Even tho it was 190mph it's minimal pressure was an outstanding 868mb
*7:59** Size of the 팁*
WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR YEARS!!!
8:33 I know everyone loves Tip, but look at Vera! Look how risky that was!
Also here 7:43
At very least, Tip didn't make landfall at near or maximum intensity, because it certainly gonna be extremely devastating
season starts on december 31st 1978
The intensity of Typhoon Mac near Hong Kong is definitely higher than what has been depicted in the animation. 1-hour sustained observation of 122km/h (76mph) was reported at Waglan Island which was approximately 75 meters in height. Even after reduction of height it will still convert to hurricane force 1-minute sustained winds near centre.
7:36 Here it is
Typhoon Tip: The King of Tropical Cyclones!
Haiyan
Tip and Patricia, the king and the queen haha
@@alexisramongeronimo4491What about Sandy being the queen because it was a big Hurricane
@@RicApatan Despite all the damage made by Sandy, it reached Cat 3 at maximum. Tip and Patricia got almost beyond Category 5 lol
Finally after almost 11 years 💀
4:22 since when was there a depression landfall marker?
Pumping out animations left and right 😁😁
Hurricane Week
The reason why Tip is big because Tip is interacting with Sarah if you see in Sattilite
Even the icon of Tip went really big
It's a good thing that Tip wasn't technically advertised on the thumbnail (the name didn't appear on the thumbnail)
Note Judy was upgraded by force thirteen to 185 due to its extremely low pressure for a c4
Wait really?
I’ve waited so long for this 🥹
7:59
any of you all looking for this?
Poor Alice. Got retired even though the male/female list already existed 💀
Tbh I like the name Andy better since my classmate's nickname is Andy
No offense tho to those who like Alice
Finally my request
7:59 Tip is interacting with Sarah💀💀💀💀💀
Curious how in 1979, when tropical cyclones started to be named after men in NATL and EPAC, the most notorious storms for these basins received male names. David in NATL and Tip in WPAC.
Epac... WPAC???
There is no correlation between storm intensity and the gender of their name, important to point that out.
1978 is when the epac had male and female names
@@sohumchatterjee9 We all know that. I just pointed a coincidence.
Thank you
Can new animations be sent to members first?
The live chat went faster than light when tip formed I swear
Because you were there?
@@stephaniepierce5460 yes
Judy was unofficially the strongest storm of the season.
tip literally sat there and powered up
how did it take this long for the year to get a v2
also alice always has to span 2 calendar years
Waiter: AYE I GOT A BIG TIP
Is it true that Hope's remnants reformed on Bay of Bengal?
I think Mike in the 1990 wpac typhoon season animation was more larger than Tip, but tip was more blue so idk
It boggles my mind how Tip, who is both the largest (1,380 miles) and strongest pressure (870 hPa) storm on Earth, with a respectable wind speed (190 mph) did not destroy as much as he probably should have. Still RIP for those who died.
I can only point to one other storm who was just as mind blowing. Patricia. Her 872 hPa pressure is immense and 215 mph wind is the fastest wind on Earth, and she too was lucky she didn't destroy more as well, since she landed in a remote part of Mexico, but still having the highest pressure of any landfalling storm at 932 and a great 150 mph wind.
Rumors are at some point she could have beaten Tip's pressure but there werent observations at such a time, so we will never know.
@@EliRicke-xl9mw how is it way off?
Recon likely severely underestimated the windspeed of the storm like it did with almost every other extremely intense storm in the 1970s.
@@EliRicke-xl9mw KZC reanalysis supports what recon found with Tip
Also, recon wasn't even in the storm at peak intensity. Tip could've been as strong as 205 mph.
@@EliRicke-xl9mw it is not direct but an analysis using Koba Scale based on that pressure
a category 4 landful is reasonable for typhoon Hope

8:00 that's intensely big
Can you make 1988 wpac season?
YES!!!
SEE THE BEN BEN IS LANDFALLED TOO MUCH TIMES
The calendar ends on December 25 1979!!!!!!😊😊😊😊
Did we come here just to see rhe legendary tip track?

Finnaly he made it
And 2009 wpac pls. v2
1983 WPAC typhoon season please.
Yes, featuring Forrest, the fastest intensifying storm on record, from 75 mph to 205 mph!
I requested it

hmm
45 years ago, tpday...
Can you do 2021 Atlantic hurricane season v2?
It is very recent to be remade but just wait at least 6 more years so the team can reanimated it.
Dude, 2028.
2-4 years at least to reanimate a season
Strongest landfall Is tip C5 in island
HALLELUJAH
I thought tip made landfall in the Philippines
Largest tip is unfair in this real season
