What i used to love about the so called Nu Metal thing was that few bands sounded the same, especially Korn, Korn really don't fit in with Limp Bizkit as far as musical direction is concerned xD the only thing like it for me was in the 90's with Alice in Chains and the whole Grunge thing, they never really sounded like Nirvana or Pearl Jam and yet were all put into the same basket, it's that kind of shit that destroys originality in music these days.
With Korn i can almost imagine the suits in the boardroom going "well they sound really heavy but the singer has this Adidas Tracksuit on... and the cornrows, that's a very black look... that's not gonna go down well with the metal people... just put them under that Nu Metal shit and call them a fusion of Rap and Metal"
