Creeping jazz, from their 1984 album Ride the lounge bar.
Ride the rainbow)
Bruh your comment made me cry for real
Ahhhhaahhhaaaahhhhaaaaa 😂
"Lounge Bar Up Your Ass"
...and Jazztice for All
That happy bass solo part where everyone screams "Die!"
the bass solo is when everyone in the lounge starts talking anyway
No, no, you've got it wrong it's dye!
@@lordofrims "dye, dye my hair"
@@LunaKai01 f++k, LOL
@@LunaKai01 I'm in the barber's chair. "Shave my stubbly chin!"
Check their first album, “Swing Them All”.
Oh I love Master of Scats
Maaaaaan you should check Jazz and ReJazz, oooh and Jazz Magnetic
What about ...And Jazztice for All
Oh, don't you say you've never heard "Ride the Jazz" before.
Also Master of Pockets

Jason: yyuuuunngh

Best part fo sho
Haha sooo good
As I get older, this is how I like my Metallica
As I drink my morning coffee with stevia.
@@JohnStonebraker yeah, used to be cheap bourbon

SO LET IT BE WRITTEN
SO LET IT BE JAZZ!!!!!!

Im sent here by the chosen jazz
It's the notes in between that mess me up
I played this at work ,told everyone who asked that Metallica did a jazz album
It was me.
(And I'm being dead serious that asked for this)
Priceless!!! Some of life's best things just can't be bought with moneys.
I personally wouldn’t mind a jazz cover of Ride the Lightening in its entirety.
I would.
John Hammett Good, glad you have your own opinion.
Are you related to Eric Estrada from Chips?
John Hammett yeah that’s my father
Edin Estrada I wouldn’t mind a jazz cover of their entire 80’s repertoire
5:42, the best lolol
Megagay
I would like but its 69
Shot of Lars going hell for leather to the sound of gentle Latin percussion cracks me up every time 😂
5:13
3:20 skippity boop bap bap
2:11 😂😂
"going to hell for leather" i like that
Ha Lars can't play that good.
Finally some metalica with BASS
Dude you are talkin about another album 😁
Finally some Metallica with real DRUMS :P.
OMG. 🅱️ASS.

I’d love to hear this playing in a hotel lobby.
I'd totally stay at that 🏨 hotel 🧐
More likely to be in the elevator though.
Pretty sure I heard the instrumental version while I was dining at Popeye’s a while back.
I work in a hotel I might play this tomorrow actually haha
lewis sick!
I unironically love this
Yeah, Ride the Lightning weren't been so chilling before.
Same
Also.
You're not alone.
I don’t know why this sounds so good
Jokes aside, this is actually fantastic
Jason’s frolic after the guitar solo is how I want to live my life
I've said before. 20 year old me would hate this, 50 year old finds this hilarious!
Brian Miller 21 year old me unironically finds this amazing 😸
20 year old me would have loved, 44 year old me loves this
Brian Miller not fan of Metallica, being active duty for 5 years you get to hear it a lot. Somehow this makes me both appreciate the original and the band as a whole so much more. I listen to these unironically quite frequently
18 y/o me would find this a guilty pleasure... 29 y/o me will share this as a funny... 40 y/o me will come out in all my unapologetic love for this fusion lol
20 year old me unironically enjoys this
That guitar solo is just steely dan
greyvenus Bodhisattva vibes for sure
greyvenus Who doesn’t like Steely Dan?
Well. I do at least
Kirk: *Channels Denny Diaz*
Denny Diaz: *Kills wah, shreds solo*
It's Squirrely Dan, Ms. Katy's.
More like Carlos Santana
3:53 looks so ridiculous with that hip bassline XD Yet another masterpiece
Oh wow, 'tallica and 'tool, two of my favorite Met's in one place
JeneralJitan sounds like Moto Moto
3:23 Jason head banging to really soft Jazz cracked me up
Love how the higher instrumentals redefine James' voice, which is high compared to the usually very low instrumentals. James sounds happy while singing about death in this version

Never heard of him
Certainly not
@@stepanastashenkov4659 not in the " in Jazztice For All" album sadly enough.
I wanna start a jazz cover band called, bag of tweed.
I will fund this band if you cover this song
You sir are a genius
Don't mind if I take that idea
I like my tweed in herringbone please
I really hope this happens
The crowd singing "DIE!" over some smooth bossa nova beats, love it!
This is heavier than anything Nickelback has ever released
Irfan Spirtovic and that in itself is Sad But True
Irfan Spirtovic nickelback can never prove their good because chad is the biggest douche and asshole and can never reach there way to Metallica’s level
Nicklecrack!
No, they're not, they peddle cliched corporate rock of the worst kind, that's why they're hated, because they're shite, end of.
@@barfly946 Burn it to the ground is pretty heavy
🎼 “Jazz by my band”..
🎵 “ We swing across the land”..
🎶 “Searching for a trombone man.”
Cant believed I watched it all. A testament of how well this is made.
Likewise, I couldn't turn it off, it's so damn good
The 4:30 ”die by my hand”-passage is genius
4:13 that feeling of good groove and dying..

There is one more i'd add to that list, Bill McClintock. All 3 of them are the holy trinity.

IntellivisionDude Also subbing.
Ehm, what about also Richard Cheese?
Lars seems like a decent jazz drummer, I dunno why the internet hates him
Lars was a fantastic drummer, something happened during St. Anger where he forgot what the kick pedal does and what a temo is.
-AK- ur not even gonna mention the snare 💀
Because he’s lazy and doesn’t try very hard anymore probably. Lars definitely was a good drummer back in the day but he’s gotten way too complacent. I don’t hate him tho.
I love how people didn't get the irony.
He’s great with polyrhythms
This is a masterpiece of parody and musical ingenuity. The effort to transcribe the music into a totally different genre, yet keeping its musical structure. And that bass line. Andy you rock! If you ever have a comedy music tour, I gotta come listen
I was expecting the vocals to be done over. I'm not even disappointed

Jazzwired to self destruct
The fact that Lars never will be able to play this is hilarious
Especially considering he can barely play Metallica.
Kirk as well, and he claims that he learned some Jazz between the Black and Load album eras. Yeah right, Kirk. Is that why all your solos are still the same generic Pentatonic wankfest that you always play sloppily?
Much better drummers can't play this shit either. On the flip side, I'm pretty sure most jazz drummers can't play Meshuggah lol
ajajaja

Makes you wonder what Satriani's advice was back in the day.
I back Kirk's recorded solos.
Not a shredder but they are perfect for the songs.
He's horrendous live.
I'm glad I caught this now instead of in the morning for two reasons.
1) stupid dcma clain incoming soon I bet
2) if it was morning my coffee would've immediately launched thru my nose at "Jaaaazz"
Nah I’ve got a feeling even Hetfield and Lars have enough of a sense of humour to tell their label to leave this the fuck alone.
better than out yer azz !
This is at the same time funny and unironically sounds good. Really well made
I will never get tired of this
This song is oddly relaxing
Friend: What kind of music do you listen to?
Me: It's complicated...
Sipping an Old-Fashioned in a lounge bar with big city views and that little band from Frisco entertaining in the background. Perfection
“Cruise the Thunder”, the second studio album from the world renowned band jazztallica
Andy Rehfeldt the Master of music
Imma be honest... That was ridiculously awesome. Mmm the solos were solid
That "JAAZZZ!" at the beginning was too good!
Ah shit, here we go again.

I can just imagine Lars hearing this and it keeping him up at night for weeks
MASTERPIECE! …this is not a mashup, more a new musical genre. That "jaaaazz!" polite scream at the beginning made me laugh. :-D HUGE LIKE from Italy! \m/ :-*
seriously, how can anyone dislike this??? It's hilarious and you don't even have to like jazz or Metallica to appreciate this genius work of art.
“Die by my hand” so nice
The Coroner song? good suggestion
Necromorph Steve oh my god it’s a funky shit
God I want to listen to
Jazz them all
Jazz the lightening

I like that the bass line sounds like it's played with a pick, just like how Jason would do. Nice touch!
The guitarist is absolutely shredding on this.
At 4:10 I almost peed in my pants :-D
"Dye, dye!" - people are singing about their love for bright colours, so cute!
This Bass line is just ridiculously chilling hahah.
try not to jazz yer pants !

I like how James's voice is unedited so it just sounds even funnier
What a good song from the best jazz band ever.
"Tune??? This is Jaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzz!" James "Jim-Jam" Hetfield
Oh my, I especially enjoyed the chimes at the end. Nice touch.
The only reason this video exists is to get everyone to listen to the original recording. So thank you.

That joke got old in 2001.
Swingin’ Metallica strikes again. Their music has a touch of Latin American mornings.
Glad this song exists for this to exist!
the chimes... omg killed me everytime. nice touch.
Pretty rare footage of Jason newsted, not playing his upright bass. Dude can jam on anything. Respect.
