Always makes me grin ear to ear when the sound engineers understand the importance of the bass, and bring that shit out to the forefront when mixing live audio levels! There are plenty of bands out there who don't have the type of sound that would benefit from emphasizing the bass like in this video, but Korn is not one of those bands. The live performances they've done with the loud and proud bass mix (and having a bass player also talented at slapping) blow the original studio tracks out of the water in my opinion. I wish more modern bands would realize the importance and potential that adding a good bass player could do for them. The bass is truly an epic instrument when in the hands of the right person, and mixed properly!
Devils Triangle I mean their newer stuff isn’t too bad, the EDM stuff was weird and jarring I agree but they were just trying new things and their most recent album was actually pretty good.
