This video is hilarious and took a level of talent to make that most people just don't have. Also, it's hilarious. People who choose to hate instead of seeing the humor or moving on to something they would like are living a sad life: one they are consciously filling with anger and unhappiness. Just send them some virtual good vibes and move on.

Now, let me start off by saying that I'm not really big on country music. Sure, I like the occasional song and what not, but in general, it's not really my thing. That being said, let me just say this about this particular song and video: Pure f-ing brilliance!! The idea of this song is so awesome and the execution is spot on. I have my moments of geekdom... well, quite a few, actually... and this song had me grinning from ear to ear. Excellent job. Two thumbs WAY up.

Listening to your book and had to check this out. I love it! I can see how it might "fall flat" a little behind the Guild videos, but I love the idea of this song. It's light, it's fun, it challenges preconceptions. Felicia is adorable (FYI, I think the yellow eye shadow is supposed to highlight how un-country girl she is.) What's not to love?

+Holly Lagasse For the on key part, I suspect heavy use of Auto-Tune here (which I don't think would've been really necessary, but is infecting nearly all music these days). Some of the more sustained notes in the second half really have that "metallic" sound to them. ...or maybe it's just synthetic chorus and I'm full of it. ;-)

yannick latreille Yeah, maybe it's just chorus. I've heard Felicia sing a capella several times and she was always dead-on.
It's just that Auto-Tune has a knack for making sustained notes "inhumanly still" which takes away some expression, which I thought I heard there. Also, in the music industry Auto-Tune is usually even _mandated_ by the studios to cut down on re-takes, even with top artists, which is why it wouldn't have surprised me too much here.
