Thanks very much! Peace out!
I love it. A very beautiful bowl. It is not always the shape, but sometimes the wood that makes a bowl great. But on this one the shape brings out the beauty of the wood.
Thank you! Cheers!
Cedar is one of the best and offers the most rewards.
The chips combined with pine cones and resin offers some fantastic color patterns.
Hi Dave! Thanks 😊
Lol grandma always kept grandpa's cedar shavings knotted in her old stockings hanging in the closets or laying the dresser drawers. Made him save them for her every time he did anything with cedar.
Haha!!! A good use though!
Cedar is one of the prettiest woods I know of besides it smells good too. Yet another awesome job Peggy. I love it too.😍
Yes! Thank you!
Very nicely done. I bet the work shop smelled wonderful while turning. Thanks again Peggy.

Stunning bowl with all the colours. Sieve the shavings to collect dust as filler for cracks. Unexpected catch makes me think “time for coffee break”.

Love the cedar bowl..... great job! Down here in the South I have access to lots of cedar.... one of my favorites to turn. And the shop smells soooo good afterwards!
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching ✌️
Hi Peggy. I have made bangle bracelets out of cedar. One word to the wise, cedar does not like heat. It will stress crack if you fiction polish it and build up to much heat while trying to shine it up. The thinner the quicker it will heat up. It is fun to turn. CA glue can give small pieces a very nice gloss finish. Being so soft it will soak up a lot of anything thin like sanding sealer. Nice job on the bowl keep up the great work. The bowl has a nice shape and you to. Lol. :)
Thanks, Ed!👍🏻
Beautiful piece. I love cedar ♥️
Thank you! 😊

Thanks, Brad!
I wish I could share some pics, I turn high mountain desert cedar which is way different. They are both beautiful woods, I think our cedar is a lot more chippy and not as red but it does have more grain. I turned a bowl from a 400 year old piece of wood it is awesome.
Awesome! I bet that's a beautiful bowl!
Beautiful grain! Great job. Makes me want to try turning cedar. Kudos on the ARIAT products. My wife is a horsseback rider and has several Ariat products. She loves her boots.
Right on! My boots are on backorder! Can't wait to get them!
Very Pretty!
Thank you! 😊
Does my mind wander. So much I have to chase after it to bring it back.
ha! Me too!
A tip : watch series at KaldroStream. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Emmanuel Francisco definitely, have been watching on Kaldrostream for since november myself =)
Very nice bowl peggy! Cedar is pretty wood, for sure. I was unsure about the 1st piece of it i turned, but, it came out ok. Makes the shop smell good!
Thank you! Cheers!
Cedar is just a great wood. The aroma, you mentioned, is fantastic and the color change at finish, wow! Gorgeous piece.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful Peggy! I haven't tried cedar yet, but it's on the list. Great vid as usual.
Thanks so much!
Nice work!!!!
Thanks!
What a grain! Unbelievable pretty. Thank you for sharing Peggy. 🌹
Thank you so much!
I'm only 2 months into my new adventure...taking my turn at "turning"...and going to UA-cam University to get much of my instruction. This is the first of your videos YT suggested and I can say I already picked up at least a couple of useful details. Thanks!
Now I'm off to Etsy to see what else you've conjured up.
When not on the dark side, turning lots of black walnut, I do like to hunt down some cedar if I can. The beauty is one thing. Cedar's built in "aromatherapy" makes for an altogether different experience.;-)
Awesome!! Thanks for watching and have fun on your new adventure in turning!
Another great job. Another idea for cedar shaving is putting them in a mess bag and hanging it in the storage room closet helps with bugs and gives the room a nice cedar smell my late wife did this all the time when I worked with cedar
Great idea! Thank you!
Cedar is a beautiful wood to turn, but boy, the pink dust from sanding gets everywhere and was quite noticeable in the external filter of my air filtration system. Cracks can be a problem and ones around knots can be trouble if they go all the way through the sides of the bowl. The pink-red color will darken with age/exposure ending up closer to dull brown-red or muddy red. For some reason, all I can think of when turning cedar is a gerbil cage! Nice job! I have found that the Ack products work very well with cedar.
Thanks, Paul.
Very nice bowl. Cant wait to try out my first piece of cedar. Hopefully soon but I like to go get my own wood so who knows when I will find some lol.
Good luck!
I love the color pattern of your wood and the finished product. Beautiful
Thanks!!!
Oh my word but that is beautiful. Such a lovely project and you gave it full justice. x
Thanks 😊
I love cedar. It turned out magnificently.💜💜💜
Thank you!
Im not a turner , but what I like about your channel is , you make things that I would actually like to have in my house,
Awesome, thank you so much!!
Красивое дерево!) Хорошая работа!)
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
That is stunning. I love cedar. Perhaps a lamp base with the shavings??? Thanks for the videos.
That would be cool!
Love the cedar...the color and the grain are so gorgeous! Beautiful bowl!
Thanks, Carol!
When turning cedar on a worm wood screw, I always apply a liberal coat of ca glue to whe worm wood screw hole b4 installing the wood
Screw. Cedar has a tendency to split!
good idea
yes it does!
Lovely 👍👍
Thanks 🤗
beatuiful piece remind of first bowl i turn a year ago
Thanks!
I'm in love too! Perfect piece, as usual....thanks for sharing. Cheers from Italy!
Thanks so much 😊
Can't get better then the smell of cedar!
True!
You could put the shavings in clear resin to make a small lidded box.
Yeah, that would be cool!
absolutely beautiful! Cedar is so amazing with the smell when turning and the color! Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely Beautiful, Mrs. Peggy I Love it!!! 👍😁
Thanks!
Cedar always looks so amazing!!
It does!
Beautiful, I love how you let the wood sing 👍
Maybe use the shavings with resin in the rim of a light wood such as Ash?
Enjoyable video as always, thank you for sharing 😉
Thank you!!
I can get cedar just about anytime and I love to turn cedar every chance I can. Your bowl came out very nice and I love the grain. Thank you for sharing your video
Thanks 👍
Watching the shavings peel off the wood triggered an olfactory memory of how wonderful cedar smells.
Ha!!!! Right?!!!
