I will be coming over there on the 24th from Lancashire for two weeks holiday always look out for you or other people that do these videos like Stephen Anita et cetera they are great look forward to listening to them every time they come on lots and lots of information
And I didn't mention in the video (apologies) the delay to placing the boardwalks in Puerto Pollensa is down to red tape, and in Palmanova is due to supply .. which they are getting sorted. There's a hold up somewhere and I'm not sure what they did with the boardwalks from last year...it's a shame they didn't just leave them!
Thanks for chasing things up for us, the sunbed/umbrella facebook page sounds like a great idea. The queues at Birmingham look a bit frustrating at the moment.
The summer will be over before you know it!!!! Come on and sort this out calvia council, people are hungry for a nice sunny holiday in mallorca, the weather here in the uk is so gloomy wet dark and actually quite cold with all the windy weather we have right now. Love mallorca, love palma nova , love our holidays ❤️ amazing update, thankyou for all your hard work letting us know whats going on.
I have cancelled 2 holidays to Majorca, I refuse to give my hard earned money to people who dont want us. Italy here I come, its actually cheaper in Italy than majorca. 😂❤
We were in Can Picafort from 30 May to 6June. The beach by Son Balou Hotel had boardwalks, sunbeds and umbrellas and Lifeguards on duty. It was very windy but the breeze kept up cool whilst enjoying the Sun. There was no animosity at all towards us. Quite a bit of seaweed but it could be avoided. Hope things improve Palma area ❤️🐸
I wouldn't like to think it is... but I do wonder what they did with the boardwalks from last year. I'm more worried about people coming over with disibilities or who are elderly and expecting to have time on the beach and can't. That's rubbish.
I was so impressed last year with the facilities on Tamarells beach for people with disabilities, sand wheelchairs AND sticks, free loungers, somewhere to park your wheelchair or whatever, wheelchairs that go in the water. Complete with dedicated personnel, I have to add. While we were getting ourselves sorted last year I watched a severely disabled young woman being taken down to the water and supported there by one of these lovely people. I thought it was heaven, and it’s so so sad that it’s not happening at the moment.
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun maybe somebody on the local council buys into this tourists go home issue. Every day that goes by reduces the value of the tender and thousands of Euros are being lost which would benefit the local economy. This issue could be sorted out if there was an appetite to do so. It’s appalling. They clearly have no regard for holiday makers in PP. been going for 40 years but looking for somewhere else in future
One the one hand, they complain about lager louts…on the other, they’re driving young families and elderly/ disabled away, with their lack of beach facilities for them, That’s how you eventually destroy a popular tourist destination
Hola Alex it's close to my trip to mallorca roll on Saturday can't wait to be in cala de mallorca also catching up with friends in Porto cristo and the forecast is warm and sunny I may visit cala dor and a few old towns I love exploring happy days😂xx
Well, I do like the fact that they have moved all the sunbeds now to the centre of the beach instead of being very close to where I go onto the beach outside Port Royal apartments over the top of my tie and jelly stars, et cetera et cetera I noticed that one of the restaurants there now has changed its namefrom what it was before hopefully if the concert is on again this year there will be lots more room on the beach
I'll be honest, me and my family are done with Mallorca and will go elsewhere next year. The Majorcan officials are a joke. It's not just the beaches. It's the busses and taxis out of port de pollenca on market days. Never enough busses. You simply can't get on them and a two hour wait for a taxi. This combined with the beach issues and the fact that the Majorcan people themselves are not happy with things at the moment has really put us off. I know it's not everyone but we even saw posters in Alcudia referring to tourists as locust. However this is meant it's not nice to see on holiday! The Majorcan officials don't look after their own people or the tourists in my opinion and we are going to vote with our feet sadly.
i am confused if the title of her videos are purposely negative to draw attention or if there is really something wrong with visiting Mallorca this year!
I’m making people aware there is no disability access in two main resorts. If you are elderly or disabled this is major if the plan is to go to the beach. Please give me a suggestion for an alternative - and I’ll consider a change
Hi. If you're traveling around the island on a boat can you recommend where to dock how can you arrange an overnight birth and are there small docks away from marina's to access a restaurant. Many thanks Michael
Accessibility on the beach…….. it’s outrageous, shame on Calvia council. They’ve had all winter to prepare for this summer and they are not. Must have been talking a long holiday themselves. Thanks Alex.
I've just pinned a comment... beause I realise I didn't explain that properly... (apologies) so the delay to placing the boardwalks in Puerto Pollensa is down to red tape, and in Palmanova is due to supply .. which they are getting sorted. There's a hold up somewhere and I'm not sure what they did with the boardwalks from last year...it's a shame they didn't just leave them!
The end of the boardwalk normally leads to decking for those in wheelchairs. Other board walks finish on the sand, but it's a bit differnt pulling a push chair a metre than the entire widith of some of these beaches.
Hi Alex, unrelated question, but still about palmanova, Can you rent kids bikes there? I see rentals with adult bikes, but my 4 year old can ride a bike now and his bikes is too big to take with us, so would like to know if you can rent small bikes (no stabalizers) or would we be best just to buy a foldable scooter for him and bring it?
Where is the best place for me to exchange my pounds for euros? Is it better to do it in mallorca? Or airport/England? Im travelling to can picafort. Thanks
Get your exchange in UK…shop around for best deals….NOT BANKS….look online first for exchange outlets near you. Take cash with you, then use their ATM machines! Watch out for crooked cab drivers…get a quote BEFORE YOU GET IN…and pay them what they say right there and then!!
There’s too many trashy areas in Spain these days, plus, full of pick pockets! We stopped going too Spain over 15yrs ago. Malta is the same, full of skanks! Think we’ll be sticking to Italy ❤️
Who in the Mallorca govt should us Brits really email to absolutely complain about this - they want my money for my hotel (and I spend €100 a day on drinks and food).
So don’t put out such reports. Just let people go on holiday and sort out their own issues. Years ago we didn’t have wooden walks , we just pulled pushchairs backwards. What a fuss.
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun That's not the point I was making. You put out a video, basically complaining that there are no wooden walkways (they are not 'boulevards', totally different) then when someone asks, do they want business or not, you then go on to state not to put "this on the people". Firstly, they weren't putting it 'on the people' they state 'Mallorca', second, you are the one advising folk to change bookings. Videos like these put people off going to these places. As for being in a wheelchair, I mentioned pushchairs but you have to ignore my comment and make up some drama. Sheesh. Take the criticism with the compliments. After all, it's about you making money, not being helpful.
I’m supposed to be going in September with all the family, I’m going to my travel agents , I will change our destination.. won’t book to come here or any of them again.
AND I HAVE AN UPDATE TO THIS VIDEO WHICH YOU CAN SEE HERE: ua-cam.com/video/ozS6iwQB--0/v-deo.html
Thank you for the updates.
Cyprus is very nice this time of year in fact the weather is far more reliable than the Balearics
And you’re business is valued and wanted

As the saying goes, don’t bite the hand that feeds you , I bet Greece, France and Italy are loving this .
Great update Alex. Many thanks. Best wishes, John

I bumped into Steve and Anita in the supermarket yesterday! It’s not often I see them!
Such useful information. Thank you. Coming to Cala Bona early September. Been to Majorca 8 times already, LOVE IT. X
Great video. Very informative. By far the best form of information on the island. Keep up the great work. 🕶️ MM.
Aww thanks Lee 🤗
we went to Alcudia week or so ago, loads of disabled access on there beach, loved it there, fantastic beach

Ola, gosto dos seus videos. A partir de que dias deste mes as praias ficam mais cheias ?
All weekends throughout June July August and September! Very busy 😎😎😎
Saturdays and espeically Sundays are busy!

I don't understand. Surely people have to get off a boardwalk at some point...so how do they manage then?

Does Mallorca want business from tourists or not . 😊
We have a short season so please do not put this on the "people" running businesses in resorts who have to close in the winter.
So don’t put out such reports. Just let people go on holiday and sort out their own issues. Years ago we didn’t have wooden walks , we just pulled pushchairs backwards. What a fuss.

Sorry, i meant Taxis and busses out of Alcudia to port de pollenca...
8:40 3D top-notch scanning gates for Brits, meanwhile UK welcomes pontoon tourists from Africa without any scanning. 🤔
