Love the approach. This is marketed as a last ditch do anything knife. You took it out of the sheath and started hard use that is meant to damage a knife. If it could not pas this, it should not move on to round two. Next phase is crafting shelter/tools. I love my Carothers for use and toughness. I would really like to try some of the GSO offerings.

Return of the Caveman! Welcome back. The audio of the GoPro is fine. I assume it's fixed focus though, so the close-ups don't work as well as with a camera that can change focus. Do you have a phone that can take good video? I think the angle of the secondary bevel is one of the major determinants of how well the edge can survive the copper pipe test. Any idea what the angle is? As for the price, well it's your money. haha I prefer blades with thin blade stock.

Great knife (design, materials, heat treat, fit and finish), but at $315 and signed by one of the most full of themselves, people around. Patriotic rants with "patriotic" prices...was selling a karambit for $575 and a handcuff training kit (!!!??) for $330 lol! Kinky stuff...
Yeah. The price is crazy on their other stuff. But I'm a Survive! Knives fan. Not crazy about the wait time, but their knives are awesome. I think that 315 is very good price. Compared to others like this on the market. I don't believe on the patriotic prices, but I don't blame the guy. He's trying to make a living. And has dedicated a lot of time to his channel. I won't pay 500 dollars for the karambit. But for the Survive! I wouldn't think twice.

Everyone has to make a living, but doesn't rip off customers, while pulling out the holy, patriotic card. At least, that's exactly what he said when I pointed out it's unjustified high price. You can check our short conversation, on his yt channel, when he reviewed this one, a few months ago. So Guy K. Seiferd who actually makes these, must be less of an American, than this guy... A bucketload of other US makers too...Bring the patrioticometer asap! Hell, why do I even care? I'm not even American...
Yeah I'm with you on the patriotic prices. That's a ridiculous excuse for price gauging. But remember that this knife has a few extra features that the Survive! Company is not offering. Like the stainless bow drill.That add more to the price and the liners too. Not that the liners offer more performance but is a nice touch. I preorder a lot of Bark River and I choose the option of liners because the look. I wish that Survive! Would offer the bow drill option. That be a plus.I still love the knife and I'm happy that there's not wait time. But I understand your point.

I've been wondering about the BSS blades. They have a small hunting blade im waiting to be delivered, so I guess I can expect pretty good quality if this is any indication. Thanks for the great video brother!
Survive! Knives are Scammers I ordered a Survive! Knife March 2016 and I haven't received it yet. Every time I ask them when I get the knife, they say soon. There are a lot of others (100-1000) who are in the same situation and talk about it on Blade Forums and elsewhere.
I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and Idaho’s attorney generals office because I paid them $250 for a knife in June 2017 and I finally got my money back from them 3 months ago. They’re definitely scammers!

Don’t give your money to survive knives ! I bought a Gso6 in June 2017 , paid $250 for it, it’s now March 2021 and I still havn’t received my knife and after refusing a refund I had to file a complaint with the Better business bureau , which Btw survive knives has a D+ rating with!
