- Enjoy some footage of my exhaust setup on the OBS chevy. True Dual 2.5" exhaust with x-pipe, dual Spintech Pro Street 6000 mufflers, no cats, Brian Tooley NSR cam, and Schoenfeld headers on an otherwise stock 5.3 LM7.
That Acura Legend though. My friend had one back in the day. Used to pick me up to ditch school. RIP Nick.
Nice man, I think you convinced me to go with this cam
Can't go wrong bro!
Those rims you have are fucking KILLER!!! Best looking rims I've ever seen on a pickup!!!
thing sounds good
Thank you! I'm pretty happy wit it. Spintech has a nice sound. Most are using black window lately.
@@CoolCarsKJ no problem i need to up grade my exhaust on my Z one day i might go that way. if you get a chance check out some of our videos and let us know what you think.
Love the sound!! I have the same motor and cam going into a 65 C10 and I am wondering if the Spintech's are super loud? it is hard to tell from a video, but love the sound . How is the cab noise?
The pro street 6000 are perfect, sir. Sounds lovely inside. Dont got with the 9000s tho, it will sound like a race car!
Sounds nasty!
Thanks Nate!!!!!
Might have to put some of those on my big block obs. Sounds good! I have borla pro xs with 3” true duals but it ain’t got that raspiness like these.
Was this the stage 1, 2, or 4 BTR NSR cam? I was planning on going with the truck Norris cam but this one sounds amazing
Thinking about running these mufflers,I have a 6.0 with ss2 cam, longtubes, and planning on a xpipe. Would you say it’s loud ? Any drone while cruising ?
Its loud but its hearty. Soinds great. No drone
Is the spintech center center, offset offset, or center offset
Si quema cuh
Are you using the stock GM 5 speed? If so, did it bolt up to your 5.3 just fine?
Yessir. I have another video on my channel showing which parts are needed.
@@CoolCarsKJ I'm not seeing the other video of which parts are needed.

2:55 mark
What’s your idle at? I have the same cam in my 5.3 and that chop/idle is perfect. I’m at around 875-900 rpm
If I recall, he set idle at between 900-1000
Did you use stock lifters too?
Yes, on this truck.
What stage is that nsr cam
stage 4
In that engine is it a stage 4 or stage 2 btr nsr cam?
Stage 2 if I recall. Got it off their website
Are you running any stall or stock
No stall because it's a manual
What drop do you have on this obs bro??
We think its similar to a 3/5 but its not lowered the right way, it was done by previous owner.
I have the same motor n cam lol I wonder how I can get mine to chop like tht!
Brian Tooley NSR (no springs required) Cam
@@CoolCarsKJ which one though stage what?
Stock heads?
Yes
What headers are u running?
Schoenfeld 1302LS1
@@CoolCarsKJ thxs and they fit good?
Fit perfect. It's the main setup everyone uses. I have used them 4 times now
Did you have to upgrade the springs
Not with this particular cam, no. The NSR stands for no springs required.
@@CoolCarsKJ word I was reading about a lot people said I would need a stall for that cam
Yes for an automatic, I read the same. But mine is a manual so I didn't need one, of course.
Yea what year is your truck mine is a 89 and this is my first ls swap
What trans are you running??
nv3500, stock 5 speed
Does it work pretty good behind that motor or are you looking to upgrade trans soon?
@@jacobharrison8052 the nv3500 is holding up good. If that's what's in your truck, it will work fine for a daily driver. But not for a race truck. I'd say use it until it blows. Me and my buddy are both using nv3500 with 5.3s
Stainless?
yes
You in athens?
Yezzir, Go Dawgs...
When are you going to pain that bed
Gonna paint the whole thing at some point
What’s the update on the blue obs that y’all put a fuel pump in
@@mib_patdawg Engine is in. Fuel lines are ran. Basically gotta run exhaust and install the wiring harness.
Marching band sounds ridiculous
Sounds like a old wore out tractor
Kubota or John Deere? That will let me.know should I be offended or not... 😉
Nothing runs like a Deere!
