Equal length isn't that significant to achieve that corvette sound. 3" pipe from the headers back through a proper x pipe will sound extremely close to equal length. I've had both and they both sounded amazing compared to a y pipe and single muffler.
I used to run spintech best exhaust sound i ever had i just couldn’t help but think it looked restrictive inside. i would be curious to see if it loss hp on the dyno vs the straight thru. I like black widow mufflers you got that chambered idle but straight thru sound when you get on it
Ron at spintech makes custom mufflers besides the ones on site, and even my 2020 tundra with spintech x-pipe and dual 9000s and duals out back suprise people 2k rpm and above with stock cats.Best sound ever and I had blowmasters on big blocks in 86,last 10 years spintech for me.
Sounds nice. I was actually looking into these mufflers before I bought my two corsa pro series mufflers about a year ago. You should have taken out the y pipe and put a cts-v xpipe, that's how I have it set up on my crew cab with equal length exhaust. Nice truck though 👌🏼
Truck had long tube headers, and a true dual exhaust. So we added the x pipe where the two exhaust pipes where closest. Then tried to equal out the length behind the x pipe.
P.S,next time get the PYPES dual tips so 4 tips into 2 of course and mount where license plate is,bad ass and the looks incredible, did it on my 87 chevy,4 tips like a vette.
Maybe im wrong here but with the x pipe the exhaust path crossed over. So if you had extra length on the driver side and you lengthened the passenger. You actually created a really unbalanced exhaust syestem. Because the exhaust flow from the longer driver side corsses over to the passenger side that you lengthened. This results in a reall short passenger side and a really long driver side. Essentially you made the problem worse. You have to think about the flow of the exhaust crossing over to the opposite side with the x pipe
I say you do Carven R. If you ever do heads and cam then the Spintech would be a great choice! But for a stock 4.8 a single exit with a carven R will sound best!
Spintech sound so good at idle but the resonating was unbearable. Switched to Borla xr1’s and couldn’t be happier. Northern performance did the red pickup with equal length exhaust and spintechs.
I’ll be real it’s the pipes before the x that’ll change it the way I do it is using a splayed x pipe and just making it come at an angle so I can sweep the passenger side out without killing flow
Oh no we're not calling them NEW NEW. We're simply saying are these the new BEST mufflers to go with on a Silverado. Corsa has been king for a while. We believe these on the correct setup sound way better than a Corsa Muffler.
@@Trokiando bro seriously these are the Best mufflers on any thing period. I been running them on all my rides for years. I have a video on my channel with a Chrysler we installed the 6000s on and it sounds like a beast. I have one with a corsa and is nowhere near as clean. I just put a dual 2.5 system with the 9000s on my 5.7 ram yesterday. At first I didn’t like them at all got on the road and they tightened up a bit by the time I got where I was going and by the end of the day they sounded a lot better . I don’t like the clap at high rpm’s to me sounds like the exhaust is flattening out. I may go ahead and slap the pro bullets at the back to see how it sounds. I have the cats on still so I’m trying to figure out how to get that crispy sound.
This brand been around since we were kids, yall just gotta do research n not just buy or do what everyone else does, maybe these channels would have something different they are all the same
We are always down to try out a new exhaust! And yeah most brands have been around a long time they just don't get much exposure. This exhaust honestly requires a really nice setup to truly get the best tone out of it. Your average 4.8/5/3 ls with just long tubes and no cam wouldn't sound as great so thats where a corsa would shine. But these spintechs on a true dual setup paired up perfectly with this setup!
lol actually it really does sound similar to a glass pack but it’s only on decel. When the motors decelerating it has those little bangs and pops almost exactly like straight pipe glass packs do. Yea…Accelerating and at idle you sound nothing like glass packs..but on decel it honestly does
Great choice,Spintech gives the cam lobes a sound like a piano keys, you hear them working.Spintech 9000s,best ever.
Got my truck sounding real nice
Yes Sir 😎😎
I love every time I come across one of these Chevy truck channels. It’s always a Texas truck. 🤟
😎😎 🤘🏼 Texas > rest of the US
That’s not how equal length works, it’s suppose to be done before the mufflers and x pipe
On the next setup we will run a ctsv x pipe that way it can be more equal before the x pipe!
@@Trokiando very easy to do equal length on 2wd trucks

Spintech, Corsa, Bassani, and Stainless Works. The Four horsemen of V8 mufflers.

nah black widow 🥊
Sounds sickk! Love the cam

This is nice to know! might have to hit Ron up for some custom mufflers for our next giveaway just to try them out and see the difference!

That was the goal and we hope to do that on the next trucks exhasut setup we do!
@@Trokiando it's going to sound great! New subscriber, looking forward to the videos.
Spintech lets you hear more cam lope, and had them on a vette and 383 square body, nasty sound, love them.
You should've taken a video of the entire exhaust setup.
Does the truck still have the factory cats?
You have a Y pipe that goes into an X pipe?? How?
Truck had long tube headers, and a true dual exhaust. So we added the x pipe where the two exhaust pipes where closest. Then tried to equal out the length behind the x pipe.
@Trokiando you have to equalize the exhaust BEFORE the x pipe.
Real review like highway sound and drone.
Will take that into account for the next video💯.
No drone or loud highway noise on this one because we had them routed all the way back.
P.S,next time get the PYPES dual tips so 4 tips into 2 of course and mount where license plate is,bad ass and the looks incredible, did it on my 87 chevy,4 tips like a vette.
Hey amigo . Estoy en otro estado. Cres q puedas en viarme solo el exhaust del corsa . Y cuanto sale el corsa . Solo . Gracias
How loud would one be on a Silverado 4.3 v6
wouldn't recommend it on a v6 maybe a corsa
They sound sweet when your getting on it but I don't know about that popping when you let off????????
thats that popcorn tune 😅
@@Trokiando that poppy choppy sounds good!! The goal is to piss people off & look good doing it!
Sheeeshh that thing sounds good!! 🔥
Thanks bro!
Damn!!! That truck is so damn fire 🔥🔥
Thanks bro! 😎
Sounds sweet. Does it have a h pipe or x pipe? Or is it true duals?
It has a y pipe that goes straight into an xpipe. yes its true duals equal length!
@Trokiando how the H*** do you get from a Y to aH pipe

Yeah, we plan on returning soon to Aces, hoping to try a different setup that should be more equal!
That’s a badA$$ truck !! 🔥🔥🔥

2011 chevy 1500 4.8 stock should i go with carven R or spintech 6000?
I say you do Carven R. If you ever do heads and cam then the Spintech would be a great choice! But for a stock 4.8 a single exit with a carven R will sound best!
Would the Spintech 9000 be louder?
It should! Maybe a good one to try out next time😎😎
What drop does it have ? Looks freaking niceee

I believe your missing the x pipe bcs what makes it sound like a truck is the y
I did have an X-pipe 3:15 . The Y-pipe went straight into the x-pipe
setup?
Long tube headers, that Y into an xpipe then two spintech 6000s. And dual exhaust out each side!
I like it bro! Get me some new tires tho😅
Got you 😎
Gonna look good in my driveway
