This could absolutely explain some of our "unexplainables" ! Definitely going to keep an eye on my hubby's vitamin C intake, because we've had some troubles with the accuracy of libre 2, but not connected it to vit c yet. Thank you for sharing this idea!

Thank you for this information. I haven't any problems with that because I don't take additional vitamins, but good to know. Thank you for your great videos!

Great video! I did not know about it, and I use Freestyle Libre 1 (in Brazil this is the only Freestyle Libre available).
Have you done a video about Minimed Medtronic 780G? I’m about to get this insulin pump/system and would love to see your review about it.

Thank you so much for this critical information. I have been experiencing this issue of skyscraping Readings on my sensor libre 1 and 2 for so long. Now, at last, I have somea kind of explanation. And that mâles sense since, Indeed, I am a Big vegetable eater. I also often fi'd myself taking vitamin C suppléments especially on winter to boost my immune system. During these particular périodes, Indeed, my Readings are miles away from m'y Real blood glucose. Even my doctor didn't know this phenomenon. Now I have it thanks to you Kamil. Un grand merci mon ami.

@@Nerdabetic Didn't know this either. Explains why sometimes my readings (Libre 1) just don't match my finger pricked tests.
Perhaps do a compilation video on other CGMs and what other factors they have listed that can affect accuracy.

Wow Kamille... I used fsl 1 and 2 for many years and never been informed about that!thanks for highlighting... I will also talk about it to my diabete team.
By the way other cgm are not so accurate and still work with closed loop. My guardian4/780 is giving smoothed /straightened result so when I m about to go hypo in fact I m already in hypo and when I see it s rising same story... When I had fsl it was warning me way better... So you cannot just say it s because it s a interstitial system.. It is for both. Just fyi

They should be obligated to put this in a black box warning right on the package. I've had to send back and got replacements for so many FSL2-sensors that displayed much higher values than blood glucose! Although, some of them had also too low readings.

Does this only apply to libre sensor or also medtronic one‘s ?

I stopped taking a well known multivitamin supplement with 1000mg vit C when I started using libre.
I have wondered about doing an n=1 trial of vitamin C just to see what effect it has on my libre.

Wowww, did not know this. I'm going to drop that additional daily 500mg Vit C supplement starting tomorrow. Especially above 10-12 mmol/l bg, the Libre2 is often indicating a way too high level.

I have been on a Freestyle Libre 2 for about 6 months... Libre 1 since Jan 2019.
I go thru phases where I eat 1 or 2 oranges a day. so between 52 and 104mg of vitamin C intake daily. I scan about 20 to 30 times a day and finger stick whenever I get an alarm out of range 70-220. I also finger stick when the reading does not make sense.
Day 1 of 14 days... Day 1 readings are always suspect... I finger stick about 10 times to confirm. I have caught the thing being wonky on day 1. after that initial 12 hours or so... It's been pretty spot on. Even when I eat those oranges.
I'm on and plan to stay with manual injections from real vials (old school).
Thanks for your videos... Long time subscriber.

Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling believed in overdosing on vitamin C, 2000 mg, there's quite a following of this view.

I heard a rumour that accused chek mobile is being phased out. This means back to test strips again. Why would the world go backwards. Would love to see a video on this.

Roche apparently want to cut their own legs off, since they retired all of their tubed pumps with the solo far from being released everywhere.
