Ok my friends, this is a follow-up video to the one that I released earlier about Assetto Corsa getting stuck on the loading screen. I've done a lot more testing and this is my conclusion.

Had this problem and had no idea why it would happen all a sudden but after deleting unused cars,which were 30 in my case and they were all more or less big sized with two of them beeing very large with 1GB each,i tried running it and workd like charm then added some cars which i couldn't try due to metadata error and now i can so best solution if one wants to start AC via launcher is to limit themselves with amount of cars that are installed and have ones which you're actually gonna use otherwise they're just taking up space.Glad i found this so now i know what is a problem.
Happy to hear that it worked out for you buddy, but since I've started to use Content Manager, I've never looked back. I would definitely recommend that you give it a try if you haven't already done so.

I have just installed assetto cords and I installed some mods for no hesi servers but turns out after doing that I can’t even play the normal assetto cords again and it says loading car metadata at 83% can’t even play on content manager
Corsa
Try uninstalling the mods, then verify the files within Steam. If it's OK, try running Assetto Corsa again to see if it works without the mods.
I'f it works, add back your mods one-by-one, testing to see if the game works after adding each mod (this may take some time).
If you're still having problems running the game, you may have no choice but to do a complete reinstallation of the game.

Sorry, I only just saw your message. At this point I would recommend that you just use Content Manager instead of the stock game launcher. It has waaay more features.
Hi asseto corsa fan here im stuck on populating favorites since i have only installed a fresh copy of this game any solution i deleted some vehicles whicht he size of the folder is now 10 billion bytes if u have solution reply. Cheers!

my game stopped loading today. Stuck on "Additional CSP Features; Creating font altas for CSP UI". CSP version 1.78
Try Content Manager instead, that's what most players of Assetto Corsa do when having problems with the stock UI, it works great for me.
@@ProSimRacing i am using CM tho, but got it fixed by verifying game file and reinstalled csp

Have u tried the file compression tool in CM to see if it helps get around this?
No bud, I haven't compressed any of my files so far. I've heard some of the guys talking about it recently, they say that it works pretty well, but I'm not sure about the effect in this instance as I haven't tested it myself.
For me it gets stuck on setting defaults can someone help me?
Not really, It seems like it's not so much the amount of mods installed but probably a particular file size threshold that should not be crossed, either way I just use Content Manager to save my sanity.
I reinstalled as well but it's still stuck, probably due to the huge amount of mods that I have installed. I just use Content Manager because it has lot more features.
I just ran into this issue trying to update srs. Is it specifically the cars folder or cars, tracks etc. I am trying the compress files option now with cm.
It just seems to be a limitation with the file size of the car folder, at least from what I can tell so far.
Luckily, we have Content Manager to fall back on.
Plus, Content Manager has already fixed their compatibility issues with Sim Racing System.

That's really strange. Try verifying the game files through Steam, if that doesn't work you can probably try uninstalling Assetto Corsa, then use CCleaner to clean the registry, reboot your PC and reinstall Assetto Corsa, that's what I would do first.
I have the same problem on a PC that is only a few weeks old. Only installed AC when the PC was new a few weeks ago so haven't installed any extras. Even uninstalling and reinstalling leaves me stuck at 'Loading Car Metadata - 99%).

Oh yes, thanks @Valentijn, that could also be an issue sometimes, I didn't even think about it. Some antivirus programs really don't play well with certain games, sometimes you may have to go into their settings and white-list a particular game for it to have permissions to do certain things without the antivirus blocking it all the time.

I hear you bud, the amount can vary for different people. It's probably based more on file size than amount, either way there seems to be some sort of limit.
i download assetto corsa in steam but when i start the race it goes back to main menu?? any solution?
How many cars and tracks do you have installed at the moment?
