So random how I fell in love with Lewes. I started a FM save with them a few years ago only reason I chose them was because of the red kit.. I went on to get them to the championship in like 10 seasons it was amazing! Would love to go to a game one day!
European nights hit different when you're a mid-table team in a top league as opposed to a team that Qualifies all the time. I can only imagine how they hit when you're a not-league team.
We won the first European Cup in 68-69 we beat Almas Roma, but you had to be champions to play in it not just randomly invited. What's the name of this competition that Lewis is in?
I have a question to those who involved in non-league or levels where incomes are required to be accompanied by another job. How do you find time for midweek away matches ?
For Fenix away we try to schedule the games on bank holidays so we get that extra free day. If not possible, take days off work. That's why (some of) the travelling can't or don't bring the full squad, as was mentioned in the video. Not everyone can take those days at any give time. Still, can't complain, this competition is great.
@@BuckledFrame2187 Macclesfield and Bury are both reborn clubs... both from formerly league sides. Hashtag are an obvious outlier. CCFC are a breakaway club. The biggest breakaway in the country has to be FC United and they've been around decades now, came from the most supported club in the country and still they're non league.
This is such a cool thing I wish I had heard about sooner! What an amazing showcase for smaller clubs!
Couldn't agree more 👍

That's class. This is the Fenix Trophy! 🏆
@@LocationFootball so what would that the equivalent to? UEFA Cup or the Cup Winners Cup or Intrtoto Cup.
@@craigmcvay1 None of those, it's an invite cup for non full time professional clubs

Great question! A lot of sacrifice I'd imagine and travelling. Fair play to all the players

@@DragoonsFC we'd love to come to a game of yours if that's possible! Tell the story of the club 👍
@@LocationFootball Easy to get to, where are you from?

Are you still a Lewes fc member?😅
You should go Clapton CFC who are a fan owned team and their membership is only £5.😮
But their 3 leagues lower
@@BuckledFrame2187 Clapton community football club are still a young club
@BALHAM69 same age as hashtag who are 3 tiers above. Same with Macclesfield who are younger and same level as Bury who are only 4 years old

We're not currently no, £5 seems a very good deal! 🙌
So if they are in it again next year, that will mean Lewes FC are in Europe, but Chelsea aren’t 🤷🏻♂️
Haha 😂
I've heard of it!!
Brilliant stuff! Who's your team pal?
Fc United of Manchester are in a European final while man city and man united are not. Fc United of Manchester are the biggest club in Manchester
Correct ✅
At what? Scrabble?
Tiddlywinks 😄
But town are going to win it 🤷♂️
It'll be a brilliant trip for all 🙌
