If you had another tote you could pump the water from the well into it and let it sit for a day or two and then pump it into the second tote thru your filter system.
Thank you very much for your comment! I think that’s a great idea! Used IBC tote is not too expensive and we should invest that. It will be easy on the my filtering system, too!!
Can you supply a list of the filters you used?? Do you think if you used the first tote as a pre filter unit and do the same filtration set up front he first tote going to a 2nd tote, would clean it even better??
Thank you for watching and your comment. We had it going from biggest micron filter to smallest. That’s just where it ended up. On our next trip, we hope to bring an extra IBC tote to let sand settle before we filter our well water and put filtered water into second tote.
You're going to go through filters like mad. Also I don't think you've considered the standing water bacterial element or uv penetration. All in all I wish you luck but I don't think this was thought through for long term implications. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the purpose and rationale. You did say something about plants... which I guess I'd question why filter the well water at all?
Thank you for watching our video and your comment! Yes, after this experiment, we definitely thought we will go through many disposable filters if our water quality stays like this time. It was never like this in the past…:-( I’m asking my neighbors if their water quality changed recently. We only go to our property every few months. And we only pump water for the each trip needs and after that we dump rest of water and keep our IBC tote empty in the shipping container until next visit. ( I meant in the video that if any left over water in IBC tote, I water bushes and plants around us. “not wasting” ) I’m also planning to paint the IBC tote black so no light goes though. And definitely we will use UV filter in the future once we actually connect our well water to the dwelling we build! Yes please keep wishing us luck! We definitely need it!! Thank you again!!
Also possibly paint/cover your tote blank to block sunlight out to stop algae growing in your tank.

the spindown filter is to small and it should be used first
