Working first power up. No modern set would do that in 70 or so years time. Just lost yet another medium wave transmitter in my area the Radio 4 London rely on 720 khz.
In the state this was in it still worked ! Stuff made now would be in Landfill in 10 years. So a tip - put some of today’s stuff away and wait for them to want it in 20 years!

hi ya steve my gran had one of these ( i think remembering ) on top of a large cabinate but didn't work 1978😄
