Quite annoying that rare weapons like the STG and FG are only found in a single soldier in a single "unit/squad" in vanilla conquest. If the devs don't want you to spam them then just increase the cost of an "elite" unit equipped with a couple of them, you're better off using MGs anyways because of how accessible and effective they are. The MG 42 uses two types of ammo: 7.92mm vs 7.92mm smk, what are the difference between these two ammo types? I'm trying to mount them on a captured Tiger II tank in campaign.
I was wondering what weapons like the stg/fg42lavt40 count as in game. Rifles? Mgs? Would like to know so it's easier to know who to equip them with when i do come across them.
@@SirJellyBean thanks! Opposite of you actually I like to use the poor quality infantry and the 1vs2 for mg vs rifle skill makes quite the difference. Especially across the SIXTEEN men of the penal battalion, for 104pts or 6.5 pts/infantryman. Will have to keep note of especially the avt40 as I feel the Finn's more reliably have it.

The motorized Fallschirmjager are the only ones that do have the FG-42, only the squad leader I believe has it.
O right I didn't realise that, good to know it's accessible in conquest as its such a fantastic weapon.

Rifles as there automatic rifles by designation I believe , hope that helps 😊
