I’ve never heard of the Isle of Wight…it is lovely. I live in MI and have only been to the U.K. twice…once to the Cotswolds and the to Leamington Spa. It’s nice you’re able to spend time with your mother and she’s feeling better.
Nice to see your mum looking so well. My dad is the same forgets he’s 94 and gets very frustrated that he can’t do things like he used to . I keep reminding him he’s a lot better than some people saying you still drive , live alone and have got all your own teeth . Looks like your mum lives in a very nice place . Xx

I do admire your mum. She is so glamorous and young in spirit. Also, it was wonderful to see the military road. I had forgotten how spectacular it is. Both my children had their first jobs on the Isle of Wight at the Coastal Centre when it was based in Ventnor. In fact my daughter got married on the island. Such good memories.

Beautiful scenery, I can understand why your Mum wants to stay there. I can totally understand her frustration, things I used to do easily without a second thought I’ve stopped doing , that fear of a broken hip😥, which means I have to wait till someone to do things for me. I’m impatient, deplore waiting but have had to learn to accept it. I used to just go ahead and do things myself until I had a bad fall that scared me, I was sure my shoulder was broken, it took ages to heal and still flares up if I do too much so I try to behave as much as I can. Arthritis is a curse and I’m full of it, lovely of my great and grand parents to pass it on .😂🤣. Lovely to spend time with your Mum, you never know what can happen, I often wonder if I’ll wake in the morning….so far, so good. I'm such a hopeless cook I fear it would become just another kitchen ornament although that demo did look so easy! What could go wrong...? 😅 That Military Road looked lovely and peaceful. I do love your mother! Talking of being “fighting fit” reminded me on my Mum after a bout of sickness. She was lying on the couch in her Moomin Mama cosy jim jams. She was in the middle of having a mild disagreement with my brother when she suddenly stopped, looked down at the Moomins emblazoned on her chest and said oh, I’m not really dressed for confrontation am I?”. We all fell about!

Hi, I used to live on the IoW back in the 80s on the outskirts of Sandown. Every weekend down on the beach in the summer and in the winter lovely walks. The only problem was the cost of getting to and from the Island. Great place to have a holiday and to live. My mum’s 92 and very feisty, sadly has Alzheimer’s but luckily can still hold a conversation. Your mum’s doing so well, more like 70, so lovely to listen to her. The drive around the Island brought back good memories.

Wow what a lovely video. The air fried chicken looked delicious quick and easy to do so thanks for that. Your mum is special it’s a shame we have to get old but it makes us appreciate the time we have here and to really make each day count. Your drive home looked lovely we live in London so it is nice to get away from traffic and high rise buildings and take time out in the country which we do most weekends. That was entertaining. I loved your pretty linen top. The pastel shades were lovely on you. You spend so much time with your grandkids. I am envious as we live in the US but our kids & grandkids live in Canada & Japan. It was interesting to see the pearl shop! I guess you pick a pearl & then make a piece of jewelry with it. You will be so glad that you spent a lot of time with your mom. She is such a dear & I love seeing you both laugh so much!

Thank you. The ponies are wild but they do belong to the 'commoners' of the Forest. A title handed down through the generations. You do have to be careful driving through, donkeys, cows, ponies and during the pannage season there are pigs too! xx
Beautiful area! My mom is 93 also.....physically fine, but terrible dementia. She's in a personal care home, beautiful place,but is very upset staying there.....thinks we all "dumped" her there and abandoned her. Meanwhile one of us visits everyday. It didn't, she had to go in her husband's car..... she is doing fine now, but in a lot of pain. xx

Hi, I used to live on the IoW back in the 80s on the outskirts of Sandown. Every weekend down on the beach in the summer and in the winter lovely walks. The only problem was the cost of getting to and from the Island. Great place to have a holiday and to live. My mum’s 92 and very feisty, sadly has Alzheimer’s but luckily can still hold a conversation. Your mum’s doing so well, more like 70, so lovely to listen to her. The drive around the Island brought back good memories.

Wow what a lovely video. The air fried chicken looked delicious quick and easy to do so thanks for that. Your mum is special it’s a shame we have to get old but it makes us appreciate the time we have here and to really make each day count. Your drive home looked lovely we live in London so it is nice to get away from traffic and high rise buildings and take time out in the country which we do most weekends. That was entertaining. I loved your pretty linen top. The pastel shades were lovely on you. You spend so much time with your grandkids. I am envious as we live in the US but our kids & grandkids live in Canada & Japan. It was interesting to see the pearl shop! I guess you pick a pearl & then make a piece of jewelry with it. You will be so glad that you spent a lot of time with your mom. She is such a dear & I love seeing you both laugh so much!
Ah, thank you. Mostly the jewellery is made up, but there is a lucky dip thing with pearls in shells..... But it's £49 I think to do. xx

Thank you. The ponies are wild but they do belong to the 'commoners' of the Forest. A title handed down through the generations. You do have to be careful driving through, donkeys, cows, ponies and during the pannage season there are pigs too! xx

Beautiful area! My mom is 93 also.....physically fine, but terrible dementia. She's in a personal care home, beautiful place,but is very upset staying there.....thinks we all "dumped" her there and abandoned her. Meanwhile one of us visits everyday. Its just terrible .....and will get much worse, I am afraid. Enjoy your time together ❤Kathy from Pennsylvania USA 😊❤❤❤
