Oh heck, you'll cop for really extreme weather in comparison to the UK. We got what we deem as bad weather most years, but we don't get anything on a scale like Eowyn that reached so far inland. Thankfully the area I'm in didn't lose power but there was localised flooding and trees down. I know the US has/is having a lot of extreme winter storms. Stay safe xx

@@Caravanlifethesetwistedhands yes, another storm just arriving here. one minute its sunny and next its raining and blowing a gale. I was in town as it started raining followed by big gusts of wind. I was fighting with my umbrella which kept blowing inside out in the strong gusts.

You have been very lucky with your caravan and awning in this wind. It sad to see peoples homes had been damage in this awful stormy weather.💦💦💦💨💨💨💨

The windstorms take out the electricity here every winter south of Seattle. The cottage is old so still has old tech. Loads of blankets

I think you need to somehow block the doorway or that wind will get under your awning and blow it away.
There's an update on the door to follow. My brother in law somehow managed to put it together and it's been ok, bit tighter than normal xx
