I think the things with UA-cam is it's like a lottery. You'll eventually post that one video that gets 100,000 views that will finally boost the channel. Problem is it could be a decade before you get there :(
The one thing I found out with the discrepancy between how much LBC I used to get in the beginning compared to now when watching content is that Odysee lost that case against the SEC. I forgot about that. Other bigger accounts were actually cashing out pretty well every month before the lawsuit was lost and they had to be regulated, (I think Elijah Schaefer was making $3000 a month on Odysee at one point). It's unfortunate but we know why they did this because regulation is the first step in the government controlling your business.
I still prefer using Odysee, of course. Let's just hope nothing comes out of this ridiculous bill to try and ban TikTok, because we know their end goal is to be able to ban/censor websites where people are able to get uncensored information/free speech.

Does anybody know how to turn off that purple background on Odysee.
I mean, I like the color purple, but not for a background, I want solid black, and it's nowhere in the Appearance or theme settings.
I don't care about monetization or earnings, in 15 years and 500 videos I never made a cent off pewtewb, just want to gtfoPewwtewb because of their constant robot comment censorship which rubs all our fur the wrong way.
Odysee has a light and dark mode, which changes the color of the background. Purple is always the accent color but you can't change the background to solid black.
Great video. So is there a way to cash out LBC to say USD or another crypto currency?
I haven’t traded in a couple of years but you basically have to find a crypto site that allows you to trade LBC for $USD. Alternatively you can find a site that lets you trade LBC for BTC, then transfer the balance to a site that lets you sell that. I’ve used Bittrex in the past but I’m not sure if it’d work today…

Lots of people use Odysee as a YT backup. There’s nothing wrong with that, but Odysee is good enough to stand on its own and there are plenty of Odysee-exclusive channels 😎

Click on your profile icon in the top right, then click on uploads. Then click on the 3 dots next to the video you want to change and click "Edit." Then make sure you set the visibility to "unlisted."

No, the premium account just gives you access to certain features. It's not required to set a video as unlisted.

Also, if you mainly make one kind of video (like gaming for example), you can email support@odysee.com and request that your channel’s videos be shown in a specific category.
