    I had a feeling that Farmers were the most effective overall, but had never done the math on it. Always love to see a new video from you, looking forward to learning more!

    Excellent video! :)
    I see new players making this mistake a lot, so just to add to 1:40 : Silos do not work on sheepfolds, and they *also do not work on Healers*! Healers are not specialised food units, they are treated as villagers while gathering food.
    Can't wait to see the next one!

      Thank you for your kind words Peter!
      I never really understood why healers behave like normal villagers when they are not healing.
      I am already working on the next one 😋

    I have been living these videos, im just getting back into the hand with some freinds =)
    You mentions on the crow clan for being able to buy territories via krowns, i notice the other day with trying out the stoat they could too, also the owl buy with low as well, will you discuss the pros and cons of buying with other methods in another video?

      @@rileyusher8786 Stoat and Owl colonize normally. The only difference is the Stoat clan colonizing with Faith, using Jörmunr.

    Hello Larsman, I have the game since no more than 3 days and I watched some videos of yours (not all). I would like to ask you a question, and of course, I am happy to read to anyone that wants/can answer.
    I am surprised that brewery is never a priority, because as I understand the sooner the people (in early) the better you can progress and expand (note that I didn't say quick, i said better).
    Why I didn't see you building brewery and putting 2 people there in the first moments of the game?
    OBVIUSLY, do not answer to me if you will be doing a video about this. I am not in a hurry and I can patiently wait for your answer ^^
    But in my mind it works like this:
    you need food -> you need people
    You need wood -> you need people
    You need fighters -> you need people
    You need happyness -> you need people
    you need healers -> you need people
    you need money -> people
    And we can add to every line: "And X buidling and a territory to build."
    etc.
    Excuse me for my long message, I am very frustrated because I do not understand why more people quickier is not the best case scenario strategically talking.

      I mean sure getting a high pop increase is good however in the early the brewery ruins your economy. Not only you arent using 2 villagers to gather food for the winter they cost crowns and at the start of the game you dont have a way to gather it. Yes eventually you will have a lot of oeople but once the first winter comes you will lose food. So you wont be able to colonise, they will get hungry, bleed and now you have a 20% minus on production so you are gathering less food. So you cant colonise, you have to heal and you produce less food which will lead to the same thing happening in the next winter... And if you get attacked by wolfs he will kill some of your villagers thus resetting your pop, which does remove the bleed but negates the early game power boost you wanted by making a brewery

    • @larsmanlive
      @larsmanlive  День тому +1

      Oh yes, in short, build a Brewery if you don't have access to "Feeling Safe" lore soon AND if you are stuck at a 13-14 pop threshhold.
      I am working on the "Happiness" video as we speak :)

      @@ΒαγγέληςΠρίντεζης mmmmh, interesting, if what you say is true, then if I survive the first winter building the brewery first building then it's solved? then it's a good way to play?

    • @dohrniigamesgamedesign8030
      @dohrniigamesgamedesign8030 День тому +1

      @@larsmanlive nonono, I mean building it FIRST, starting with Brewery as the first building built, house, explorer, etc and as soon as the brewery is up assigning 2 villagers to get maximum villager production. I don't mean to build it at 13-14 pop, I mean FIRST.

    I remember becouse I got a bit too greedy ans used my food to colonize and didnt had much food for winter and an unlucky whiteout hit both my food and wood stocks were wiped out and a considirble chunk of my pop was dead the rest were injured it took me 2 entire fuckin years to stabilize were I was at least my ally was carrying me so I didnt die

    • @larsmanlive
      @larsmanlive  2 дні тому

      Yeah colonizing too much is a common mistake.
      Never underestimate that pesky winter, once you get sick it's hard to come back.
