Back when I was competing on the elite circuit, in the early 90's, I can remember a particular incident where I was walking back to my starting point at the top of the vault runway, there was a set of p-bars on the side of the runway, and I thought to myself, " that can't be that hard, if the guys can do it, I know I can", so, I got up on them, and very nonchalantly casted to handstand, and over cooked it, and fell right between those suckers, right on my head. My coach at the time, who happened to be male, said ," yeah....not so easy is it?", and laughed me all the way to the top of the runway, where my ass should've been to begin with. I never tried that again, that's for damn sure. (I learned a valuable lesson that day.....just because I could execute some of the hardest skills being done on the uneven bars for that time dosent mean I could even cast to handstand on a men's event without breaking my neck.....dont try it...it hurts.)
Men's gymnastics has come such a long way since the 1960's. I remember when I was in high school a peach basket to support, a back toss, and a front off were considered difficult moves on the parallel bars. Now they are probably "A" moves.
I wanted to be a gymnast but no school had it even close to where we lived. I love watching them thou. Everyone them are great. No matter what that score says.!!!!
I really don't know why, there might not be a particular reason for that. But I also think they should make the Quintero a G , even better make it a mandatory element, people need to start competing the Quintero :P
It's turns, so how often you turn around your lenght-axis. For example, 1/1 =1 = one Turn. 5/2 = 2,5 = Two and a half turns around your lenght-axis. I hope that explains it :)
Brian The letters "a" - "h" is the difficulty of an element. You get for example for an "a" element 0.1 points and for a "c" element a score of 0.3 points :) The can watch all elements in the Code de Pointage. :)

Because men have a very strong upper body. That's y they allocated the Pommel horse, Rings P bar & Horizontal bar for men
there is a reason why mens gymnastics and womens gymnastics compete different events
