    I was in the same position as you, I was in the shape of my life, running 19:21 a year before, did winter and spring track and got some really good prs, and then over the summer I got burnt out and injured and suddenly I went from nearly breaking 19 to barely breaking 22:30 (22:28). I'm now back in sub 19:30 5k shape as well as better mile and 2 mile shape than I was last year but it took a lot of work and patience to get there, you will get past where you were before, I know you can do it, just keep going at it and don't worry about how long it takes, worry about keeping yourself healthy and not hurting your self in the process. (Aside from the times where you ACTUALLY need to hurt like in workouts and races XD)

      Can you give some tips to not get burnt out and injured?

    • @Bweyg
      @Bweyg 2 місяці тому

      @@epiconan270 Don't run too fast on your easy days, and don't worry about running tons of miles a week either, build up the pace and the milage slowly and gradually when you get more and more fit. Take at least 1 or even 2 rest days if needed and stretch and (if you have one) foam roll. Also for your workouts, make sure to do at least a 1 mile warm up or so as well as a 1 mile or so cool down after. As well as eating healthier and get good sleep.
