Lexus/ Toyota Front Grill Logo Emblem Remove & Restore Faded

How to remove Lexus/ Toyota front grill logo & emblem and restore faded area due to sun damage. It's similar to how to restore headlights. I wet sanded it with 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit sandpapers and then used the Chemical Guys compound and polish.

Wouldn’t you want to add a little gloss clear coat on it so it does not get fadded again?

Great video !! However you removed clear coating and you should add some back with duplicolor clear, you can polish it but the plastic is now weaker which means any rock chip and break it, I would have done all
Of this but I would add clear coat then polished it to give it that extra protection!! But that’s just me !! God bless you

No. It won't affect the sensor. In my video you can see the sensor unit is behind the emblem. I only took out the emblem to polish it. The sensor is still attached to the car. If your emblem is the same design as my RC then you should be good.
