This blanket is beautiful! If I may offer a suggestion. For us knitting newbies, maybe you could add something about making the stitches LOOSE when casting off. I just ruined my blanket by making it too tight and didn’t know how to fix it lol so now I am knitting a brand new one lol thanks for considering

My blanket turned out beautiful, I love the finished look of the edges. I did make mine a bit shorter but the yarn I used is also a bit fluffier. Also thanks for the swift way to do the purl stitch.

I tried and tried to follow this without any explanation of anything and I was following ok until markers went on then no explanation and I just gave up on this tutorial. But I have to say you do a great job and what you know and beautiful work. I just learn differently. Beautiful work though
I'm glad you like that. You will find this thread as velvet style, several brands have it. Regarding the pattern, you can activate the subtitles, by clicking on the small square which is in the lower right corner of the screen if you look from the computer or in the three small dots of the upper right corner of the screen on mobile phone. I hope I've helped you. I do not know why UA-cam no activate subtitles automatically 🙄.

I suspect you could use an s-loom, just don't forget where your border stitches start and stop and you'll be fine. Since this pattern also includes a border with alternating knit/perl stitches it shouldn't curl too much either, in theory. Hope that helps, happy knitting.

It also may be the loom you are using
you can always take the pegs off and slip the knits off
Ughhh! Same thing just happened to me. Wish i would have casted off using a different method.

You can but be aware it will be narrower. You might want to make two panels and join/sew them together.
