This video helped my 10yo troubleshoot the 3d printers in his school’s STEM lab. He’s been frustrated because none of the teachers understand how to fix them. After watching this, he was able to identify the different steps necessary to get them working rather easily. He said “Daddy make sure you like and comment on that guy’s video and then subscribe to his channel.” Mission accomplished!
@@RickyImpey Update to my previous comment: The benefactor of my son's STEM lab noticed his determination and wrote us a check to purchase a Flashforge Adventurer 5m. It's been running non-stop since we got it and I think we'll be spending a lot more time on your channel from now on! Thanks again for this info, you never know how it will directly or indirectly help someone in discovering or advancing such a cool passion.
Oh wow! That's amazing. I really hope you and your Son enjoy your new printer. I gave my 5M Pro to my nephew and he is the same, printing non-stop since he got it. It's so rewarding to see the next generation learning to use these tools as they will end up doing far more with them than we will.
Ricky, I have watched hours upon hours on how to use a slicer. I have learned more from your 11-minute video than I ever had from other tubers. Thank you!
I’m 6 minutes in and already know a ton more. Other UA-camrs say “copy these settings” and then don’t explain anything. And since there’s no perfect priest for everything we want to print, it fails and I get discouraged. Not here. Subscribed, and thank you for the content.
I am 100% clueless and completely new to the world of 3D printing, I received my new Ender 3 in the mail today and I spent hours watching videos, googling terms, etc. Then, I found this video and I am so glad that I did! I have learned more from watching your 11 minute video than I have from the endless hours of scrolling and watching other videos, that only left me more confused and with more questions 😐 after watching this video, I am now currently printing my very first successful 3D print and I feel so accomplished! Thank you so much for creating such informative and awesome content!
Awesome, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. People like yourself are the reason this channel exists. It's great to hear that a video helped 👍
Literally watched SO many VIDEOS trying to understand why the stl file just won’t work and print. Thank you for giving an actual solid foundation to my 3d printing understanding
Incredibly helpful for newbs like me and my son. We were feeling a bit overwhelmed until we watched your video and now we're starting on our first print! Thank you so much!!
Was just given a 3-D printer recently and while I have seen and use the services in the past, I’ve never used one myself. Your videos have been very helpful.
Thank you very much for the pnenominal tutorial! Recently got back into printing with my new Ender 3 V2 Neo, and this was the perfect video length and fantastic instruction!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! OMG! Your video was so great. I love how you kept it simple for those of use new to printing and slicing. Other videos are good, but the presenter often goes off in other directions and talks about things a newbie wouldn't have learned yet. It was great how you stopped at those points where a more experienced person could follow, and said things like "I'm not going to leave that standard to keep it simple." And then you did things like demonstrated with a simple first build. I'd already done a 3dbenchy that was already in gcode. But thanks to your video, i now understand the concept of why and how I need to slice to convert to gcode.😄
Awesome, thanks Craig! I hated the way I had to watch a ton of videos to just try and get the basics when I started. People forget that you don't need to know everything to get started, you will find the other stuff when you are ready for it. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like to know, I do weekly videos and want to help people with more of this kind of thing. Thanks for leaving a comment 👍
I'm very new to 3d printing and had no knowledge about slicer software. I was a bit overwhelmed buy this video perfectly explained what I needed, and what the software does. Thanks a bunch :)
Just received an Ender 3 v1 as a gift for Christmas and have already learned much from helpful vids like this, thank you for the amazing and straightforward guides!
Thank you so much. After watching several other videos, this one taught me, plus gave me confidence, how to download files using Cura. I am new to 3D printing and received a Creality Extender-3 V3 SE for Christmas. Very easy to follow your instructions. Thanks again 😃😃😃
Just bought an Artillery X2 and stumbled across your videos about bed leveling and this slicing. That helped so much to understand the way of printing 3d models. Thanks very much.
Just got my printer, and boy am I glad this is the first video I came across. THANK YOU for all the preventer trouble, I’m seeing all these comments and feel blessed
Just spent the morning setting up a new Ender Printer, and getting ready to print. Have now watched four of your videos. Thankyou so much. Incredibly helpful and informative. You have saved me many hours of hassle down the track.
Excellent walk through. Easy to understand, especially for a newbie to the 3D printing world. You aren't using odd jargon and aren't drifting off into odd examples that end up confusing.
My printer is being delivered tomorrow. Thanks Ricky - I received an Ender 3 Pro as a loaner for a year plus and with your video I was able to download stl files - slice it with Cura - and print successfully several objects. Now my next challenge is to learn a CAD program so I can alter an stl file to my needs.
Great video. I just picked up an Ender 3 S1 Pro and based on watching your videos I've got the bed aligned & first prints came out great. Now with this tutorial, I should be all set to slice my own models. Thanks for the effort you put into these videos.
Thanks for making this! I just setup my Ender-3 V2 Neo the other day, and using your instructions I was able to successfully print the calibration cube using Cura, in addition to a filament guide that the video I watched to setup/level my printer linked in the video description. Much appreciated... new subscriber!
Really clear vid Ricky cheers! I’m very new to all this, and got surprised by the fact Cura remembers the settings from how you sliced your last 3D design. Naturally you want it to retain your nozzle & bed temp, etc. But if you’ve added a brim to a print, it will add the same brim to the next project you slice, unless you manually change it. Unless my Cura settings are up the spout, might be a useful reminder for newbies!
ive learned so much more in just this one, easy to follow, video than spending a whole month of headaches trying to learn how to use my 3D printer, THANK YOU
