I agree. They look good except for the wheels. But thats just my opinion. I do like the diesel engines though. 15 inch wheel with 44 boggers would be a better look imho.

I had 75 Chevy 4by4 3/4 ton it was beast in the 80s I use to fill up another 75 Chevy 12 foot steak bed duel wheel with roofing and tow it to the dump with an a frame trailer hitch bolted to the front bumper.

Other than the very few classic style Chevys that have the steel wheels with chrome rings all I ever see is “alloy” wheels on any custom or resto. My 89 K5 has the factory alloys they are in the garage and I put on 18x12 alloys. Unless you’re talking about say 24” wheels on 33” tires then yes I agree that’s a shit look.

The chev and dodge of that era both are solid axled front and rear while the ford uses a independent front suspension..... So what is it that makes the chev better? I love the sound of a big cam" but I am a little confused about people running them in a 4×4 (daily driver) because of their having less torque & horsepower down low. By the time they have more torque and horsepower then a mild cam, I'm already going faster than I should be in a 9" lift truck with 80lb tires. And if I run one of those awesome Lopey cams I'm going to need a stall 3000ish, And I cant creap with a big stall. I guess people are just making a littel sacrifice for that killer sound? Man I wish MY truck sounded like that! But for me, I think I'd rather put that in a 2-wheel drive truck, lower it, make it as light as possible, it wouldn't just sound fast, after 5000 when it really comes alive, it would be like born with DD's instead of toilet paper in the bra.
