The Ted Lasso show is literally therapy for me in these times. Although fictional, it gives me a glimmer of hope for humanity. Friday nights have become such a special moment for us. I hope this show goes on for a long while! Well done!
@@debikelley3750 I heard 5 seasons. But either way, there is no way to tell yet. They can always change their mind last minute. Especially after living thru Covid, there is even less security in the industry. Everyone feels it here. It has been even more humbling than the writers strike was here in LA!
SO glad she asked him about his voice work for Roy. The difference in Brett’s vs Roy’s speaking voices made such a huge impression on me. Very cool to see his thinking behind the vocal choice.
Kristin Baldwin is a fantastic interviewer. Smart and prepared, she asks really good questions. She doesn't try to lead. She doesn't over-fawn. Her interview with Hannah Waddingham is really, reall good.
Thought I couldn't love Brett Goldstein more and then I watched this interview! He's incredibly humble and his gratitude for being a working actor shines through. Also loved how he kept telling Kristen "that's a good question." So, so happy he won the Emmy - very well deserved! #TeamRoy
Brett Goldstein is the whole package. An Actor, a writer, a standup comedian, a sex God, a legend, an Emmy Nominee, a Podcaster, and a doughnut. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🤣
I am normally not into those kind of interviews but dare I say this was the most coherent and respectful and open way interview in the showbiz I have ever seen. Sadly the audio and video quality lags behind for obvious reasons, but holy smokes, you have some great way to talk to people Kristin Baldwin!
The best compliment my teenager gave me was: ‘… Mum, you’re like Roy Kent … without the huge swearing’. If you’ve had a teen you know how much this means 🥰🤣♥️🤗
Mr. Goldstein, thank you so much for "Roy Kent". Through the centuries, there are artists that people have called a "national treasure". It's not enough to call you a national treasure...I don't know if there is life on other planets, in other galaxies, etc. You sir are nothing less than a Galactic Treasure, truly...truly, sir. These are dark times. And we have had dark times for some time now. "Ted Lasso" is a show that reminds us all of our humanity, the goodness in the world and what human beings could be capable of achieving if we can embrace love and hope and look past our differences and our hate. Be well, keep safe and peace be upon you always..."Roy Kennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnt, Roy Kennnnnnnnnnnnnnnt! He's here! He's there! He's every-f(^$*%#& where! Royyyyyy Kent!"
Wow good interview, good interviewer. Love Brett and the show. If you want to understand “Roy Kent” spend some time reading about and watching vids on the great Roy Keane.
In every interview he says 'Thank you for having me. It seems so English, I remember being drilled by my mum to make sure I didn't forget to so say it when leaving a birthday party or going to someones house for tea.
I've heard this is barely a thing in the UK. Little to no viewership, because Apple wasn't wise enough to make a deal with a UK network, and Apple TV+ isn't much of a thing there.
Right? She didn’t seem to be pushing or pulling the interview in any way - I’m sure she was but she did it so effortlessly the questions and responses flowed naturally. Other interviews feel so forced but this one allowed Brett to shine through. Great interviewers are talented conversationalists!
Please don't bleep out the swear words,I'm an asult and don't appreciate any type of censorship. Also,i think Roy has one of the most healthiest relationships with kids I've ever seen. He doesn't treat the as if they were stupid just because they're small. So he swears...so what. I swear in front of my kids because that's how i was before o had them and they react just like Phoebe does, like no big deal. They're pre teens now and their friends swear more than they do.

Sadly I heard it will only be three seasons.

"I opened the door. Then I called HR ..." Such a naturally lovely, funny bloke.
I wish I wasn't eating spicy pho when I did a spit take after that line

She is amazing!
The Ted Lasso cast is probably the group with the most humble actors + writers. Love this interview, very insightful :)
I loved season one, but I must say season 2 is smoking! Laugh. Cry. Brett is such a balanced tragic hero that you can’t help but to cheer for him.

"Am I allowed to swear on this by the way?" - maybe the most Roy Kent phrase to say
Oh Roy Kent would NEVER ask haha
Have you seen Ted Lasso? Asking permission to swear is the LEAST Roy Kent phrase to say
but Roy kent would never ask that. He will go straight swearing
I absolutely love Roy’s soccer TV commentary.

I definitely heard this in his podcast-intro voice.
lmao may I know how you know he is a sex God?

If you love Brett as Roy, you’d love him equally as “Tom” in “Derek”. Tom is so loveable.
Yes! That’s how I was first introduced to him. Derek as a show is also so heartwarming
I will check that out.
His nieces breath issue is amazing
Wow good interview, good interviewer. Love Brett and the show. If you want to understand “Roy Kent” spend some time reading about and watching vids on the great Roy Keane.
He’s here! He’s there! He’s everyf*ckinwhere! Brett Goldstein! Brett Goldstein!
Have had a crush on him since seeing him appear on Derek. Love how he’s getting recognised for his work now!
His eyebrows deserve an emmy
This is my favorite interview that I've seen with Brett. Well done Kristen!
this was a really good interview! really balanced questions. also s2 of this show is somehow even better than s1 for me
What a wonderful interview, both interviewer and interviewee. thanks
he deserves a thirst tweet section ;)
I still can't picture him as a writer on the show!
I love Roy Kent scenes.
The best interviewer I’ve ever seen!
He steals every scene.
Brett plays this role as no other could. So talented.
He should go to the emmys in character
"He's Here..! He's There..! He's Every Fuck'n Where..! Roy Kent...Roy Kennnnnnnnnt..!"
This was a really great interview!
This dude's character is amazing..
Who would thumb down this? This is a great interview
Good God, this man is brilliantly funny. Adore him.
What a great interviewer! Love her questions.
Loved the voice change!!!
Fantastic interviewer
Brett Goldstein loves the muppets?! . needs to be on sesame street with the grouch, change my mind
I wish Brett had been allowed to swear like Roy Kent when he popped up on Doctor Who
Brett is the perfect model of the major sexy gentleman. Wow, he's packing heat. Love his character and work on Lasso. So good.
I love you Roy Kent ❤️💗❤️💗❤️
Kristen is a brilliant interviewer.
Is there a blooper reel out there from Season 1?
Pheobe is amazing lol

"Let's go outside and have a proper fuck-about!"
Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Adam Levine's first cousin???
funny that they censor swears in an interview about a show with swears in it
I dare anyone to watch Ted Lasso and not feel happy
I Love him so much.
I've heard this is barely a thing in the UK. Little to no viewership, because Apple wasn't wise enough to make a deal with a UK network, and Apple TV+ isn't much of a thing there.
That's wild. I only started watching it (in the UK) because it was recoomeneded by friends from USA.
Yeah me and my wife only started watching it a few weeks ago, because we listen to Bretts film podcast…but damn I love it, addicted to it now..
BEST INTERVIEW EVER!!! XD
