After binging TL, I am now binging all of the BTS content I can make time for, and am increasingly impressed with Brett Goldstein as a professional and all around dope individual.
I was fortunate to speak to Bill Lawrence and actor, Ken Jenkins, on a fan video chat during Cougar Town's run. He couldn't be more down to earth or nicer. His unique ability to create hilarious and sometimes ridiculously silly comedy while evoking true empathy and care in the audience for the characters is unparalleled. Heartwarming yet hilarious shows are his wheelhouse. One of my all time favorite entertainment figures.
This was great and deserves way more views and likes. Brett and Bill gave some really good insights I haven't seen elsewhere. Thank you to all involved!
Man, I just clicked on this because I wanted to hear interviews from the Ted Lasso creators, but this turned out to be one of the most helpful and insightful programs I've ever seen about showrunning. This was great. (Also, I had no idea that "Roy" was one of the writers! He's really talented.)
I went into film school knowing I didn't want to be a director (instead I went into ADing.) Now, moving away from production and trying to be a writer, people keep asking if I ever want to run my own show. I keep telling them, "Nooooo, I just want to write." High middle management, that's my aim. Loved this chat, though! I watched Scrubs growing up on TV, but once I got my hands on the box sets, I watched the behind the scenes and immediately knew I wanted to get into television! So glad I finally got a chance to get AppleTV+ and watch Ted Lasso! I've already watched both seasons twice and started my dad on it for my 3rd viewing!
Check out “Derek”! Brett is amazing in that show. It shows what a good actor he is. Tom and Roy are very different but they both love their girl! So subtle!

Brett from his humble abode…Bill Lawrence from his home bar in the East wing of his mansion 🙃

I just watched Ted Lasso for the 3rd time. I cannot wait for season 2! Loved this talk.
Glad to know I’m not the only one that watched it 3x. Are you liking Season 2?

And now they have Harrison Ford to write for and produce? Holy heck that should be great!
This was so interesting. Thank you! 🙏👏👏👏
Immensely interesting and informative. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the great show!

I will say I absolutely love the show. Only unrealistic thing is that Richmond has a football team and that the residents care 😂
Makes sense they used British writers. I was very surprised at how correct the swearing sounded. Very rare to see.
