Guys, come on. I’m willing to critique Disney Parks as much as the next person, but the individual voicing Kermit is a long time Muppets performer. His name is Matt Vogel. We can complain about many elements of this event for sure, but that’s the actual current voice actor for Kermit.
The fact that this is at Hollywood Studios makes me mad. They'll never be able to replicate the Osbourne Festival of Dancing Lights. That was such a magical experience, and Studios lost a lot when that event ended.
Thank you for presenting the reality of a business model that focuses on making money and not providing a stress-free and enjoyable event. It is a shame that you have these UA-camrs that sugarcoat these events and the park because they are making thousands of dollars and getting compensation for the occurrences from the company and not presenting the real story about these events and the playgrounds. I just subscribed to your channel and dumped the propaganda UA-camrs. Thank you, again, for an excellent job.
Great video Kevin, as they all say when things don't go as planned it not only creates a great story to tell, but it also creates awesome content as well!
This event looks miserable. Disney would have to pay me to go to this shit. The band at Tower of Terror was good tho. Should have had a similar one in Brown Derby. Or clear the floor to make it a dance floor, and have several actual bars inside serving nice drinks and small tapas.
I knew I wasnt crazy for thinking Disney World is a bit over hyped. I experienced Disneyland for the first time in 2021, went again in 2022, and going again in December this year and Disneyland is so much better than anything I've experienced at World. Thanks for the review. I was feeling a little fomo because Disneyland doesn't have a holiday party, but now I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.
Every time I visited Disney World, it was a reminder that Disneyland + California Adventure was a superior experience. WDW is too big for itself. The guest experience is subject to infinitely more variables. Of course, this was back in the day 10 years ago and more. I haven't been to a Disney property in some time. Maybe it's the same no matter where you go now - cheaply made goods pawned off as a luxury experience with an IP slapped on it.
I appreciate your honesty. I already have tickets but want a refund. I don’t want to go. I have seen several reviews and they are all the same. Disney??? The experience I seen is a complete embarrassment. ☹️
Same. We have never been to a Disney holiday event or any theme park holiday event for that matter. Staying at royal pacific at universal from December 20th-23rd and we wanted to venture out one night to a holiday event at Disney…. Well now I feel I wasted all that money! I want a refund! Lol.
I really thought that the whole figment popcorn bucket/meet and greet fiascos would’ve taught people by now to avoid going to these things on the first day. Granted, I get a lot of these people were vloggers/press who wanted to cover the event but still.
The Muppets show and the Nightmare Before Christmas show honestly didn’t look that bad but surely they could’ve just made that an overly during normal park hours
We were there and it was hot mess! It was so bad we left. AND you know Disney knew there was going to be a problem and when they FULLY REFUNDED our tickets right away and without argument. Also, the Skyliner is NOT running at the event's end, like the monorail is at MK at the close of very merry. So, if you are at a skyline hotel you have to take a bus back! (The sign saying this was NOT up and posted the morning of the party.) This event could be so cool and fun, but it needs changes and WAY less people.
I was at the park before it closed and i watched all the Jollywood Nights people coming in knowing these are the suckers and guinea pigs for the night... we thank you all for your sacrifice! 😂
Thank you for always sharing your honest opinion! This event was SHOCKINGLY bad. I genuinely can't believe how badly Disney messed up with this one. They have soooo much experience hosting nighttime events, but Jollywood Nights makes it look like they've never done this kind of thing before.
Because all the talented, experienced imagineers and event planners they had now work for Universal! So you're right... the people in charge of this probably are underpaid first timers.
I just found your channel and have been subbed to Ordinary Adventures for awhile now. Im glad all you guys are so honest with your reviews especially when people who do not frequent the parks use them to help determine if the value is there.
This event focused on soley catering to the "disney adults" crowd is the perfect example of why modern disney is garbage. Disney used to make events and movies to cater to everyone. Now they just pander to the people who are already into their stuff, but this creates a negative feedback loop where everything just gets more and more watered down as things are distilled to be the "perfect product" for disney adults. That's why all of their new princess are "quirky lol so randum" instead of having real personalities and why Kermit the freaking frog is now a disney shill who loves buying churros and other disney branded merchandise. (Winks at audience while Jim Hensen does somersaults in his grave)
Tim Tracker said price is all subjective... like if you get something free and are paid to go to theme parks all day its fun, if you are everyone else its a scam... Lol
They sell too many tickets; it ruins the exclusivity. Spending almost $200 a head, I would expect lower crowds so that it actually feels like a special event.
Gotta be honest the voices for Mrs Piggy and Kermit were pretty bad. Piggy was a little better, though she struggled a bit on the higher notes/squeels. Kermit wasn't even trying to sound like him.
Being born & raised here, I’m just mostly disappointed in Disneys initial decision to remove the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights & replace it with something like this. & the price? Cmon. Going to be at the better offerings at Universal & SeaWorld for sure.

Guys, come on. I’m willing to critique Disney Parks as much as the next person, but the individual voicing Kermit is a long time Muppets performer. His name is Matt Vogel. We can complain about many elements of this event for sure, but that’s the actual current voice actor for Kermit.
@@ThibTravelsAnd he's terrible at it.
@@ThibTravelsThat’s even worse! He sounds nothing like Kermit and we’re stuck with this guy? Disney doesn’t gaf anymore.
The fact that this is at Hollywood Studios makes me mad. They'll never be able to replicate the Osbourne Festival of Dancing Lights. That was such a magical experience, and Studios lost a lot when that event ended.
Holy crap. Had not seen Kitra and Peter in years. They have doubled in size, sad seeing them slowly killing themselves.
Earl the Squirrel > Random Gingerbread man
Unfortunately, the sugar cookies are probably sourced from the cheapest source possible. Not worth it.
Thank you for the amazing and honest content
They charge for parking for the event?! That's crazy.
That’s insane
That is CRAZY!!!!!!
They do offer the free busses from the hotels.
@@63076topherthat you spend 500+ a night to sleep at. Quit drinking the Disney koolaid!!
Mouse needs to make money hand over paw.
Dude...that is such a let-down. Thanks for keeping it real, man. Sorry for the waste of time and cash.
This event looks miserable. Disney would have to pay me to go to this shit.
The band at Tower of Terror was good tho.
Should have had a similar one in Brown Derby. Or clear the floor to make it a dance floor, and have several actual bars inside serving nice drinks and small tapas.
Absolutely a missed opportunity to bring back Citizens of Hollywood.
@rileyp7 oh I know, but I think that little touch would've put people in an entirely different mood in a horrible situation.
Lol.
Found you through Adam and I appreciate with every cell in my body your honesty and not being another Disney shill.
Yeah! Those two shows were the highlight of the event for me. Still, they could have done them during regular hours
I just went to the mickey's not so scary party this year and felt ripped off. At least that had more hours than this. It's so sad.
(The sign saying this was NOT up and posted the morning of the party.)
This event could be so cool and fun, but it needs changes and WAY less people.
As somebody who has also worked inside of Gertie (that feels weird to say), I am right there with you. Every time I go to Studios I have flashbacks.
Especially when the only Gertie I can think of is the spy kids girl 😂
brown derby “overlay” is unreal
Everyone I’ve seen has said this was a complete disaster. Sad
THAT LOOKS LIKE AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Thanks for going so I don't have to! LOL
I was at the park before it closed and i watched all the Jollywood Nights people coming in knowing these are the suckers and guinea pigs for the night... we thank you all for your sacrifice! 😂
😅 You're no different than them. You're giving your money to Disney, just like they are.
@@MalakiaLaGattaNera Unfortunately so true 😩 I've lost hope that Disney will ever fairly pay their cast members.
I just found your channel and have been subbed to Ordinary Adventures for awhile now.
Im glad all you guys are so honest with your reviews especially when people who do not frequent the parks use them to help determine if the value is there.
Wowza, That is crazy, as always thank you for your honesty! Favorite vlogger for that exact reason.
It’s great to see Disney falling apart👍🏻
Mickey and Minnie back to bobbing heads. 🤔
Lol
I was disappointed that I couldn’t get a ticket, now I’m grateful 😂😂
I haven’t been this bummed out since watching that Boogie documentary
They sell too many tickets; it ruins the exclusivity. Spending almost $200 a head, I would expect lower crowds so that it actually feels like a special event.
No idea why they didn't have the muppets sing a song from the Christmas Carol!!
Those crowds 😮😮😮 you could not pay me to go to this !
Tip Top club should have a 15 piece band like the 1930s. Come on
I wish Disney would do another 24 hour event.
Always appreciate your candor, Kevin. With that, I’ll see ya in the fog-less Universal for the holidays. Where they know how to treat us.
Thanks for the honest review. It is why you are the best on UA-cam!
Gotta be honest the voices for Mrs Piggy and Kermit were pretty bad. Piggy was a little better, though she struggled a bit on the higher notes/squeels. Kermit wasn't even trying to sound like him.
What did you guys think about Jollywood Nights?
Nice.
Looked boring as fuck
A JOKE. I honestly feel like I could have planned a better holiday event in my back yard.
Embarrassing.
We actually had a great time 😂
Can we just got back to the Osborne Lights in Hollywood Studios.. I miss that time.
If I paid regular admission and went to that I would be majorly upset
Being born & raised here, I’m just mostly disappointed in Disneys initial decision to remove the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights & replace it with something like this. & the price? Cmon. Going to be at the better offerings at Universal & SeaWorld for sure.
