Modsports 2023 Race 12 - Anticlockwise

An eventful race right from the start- A poor secondary stage to the start not getting gears again and a wee tap from behind but later on the brakes into the hairpin and it was Head down to catch up the rest of the pack. knowing I had a strong car in anticlockwise I was confident I could make up ground.
A safety car was deployed before the end of lap 1 and unfortunately the position of the lights on the inside of Duffus isn't where your eyes naturally go. Especially when tucked up behind another car. A number of drivers including myself didn't see the lights till too late and the cars already on the straight had slowed substantially. I bumped into the rear of Murray as he lifted and unfortunately James behind ploughed into the back of me. Richard arriving on scene quickly too was lucky he didn't have contact into the end of the pitwall. Obviously I couldn't get out and check the damage but it sounded horrendous in the car. Nothing else I could do but push on and hope I wasn't black flagged or worse a tyre blowing out from the contact of the rear bumper etc.
Andy was a car further in front and I was determined to make the pass on track count for the championship and didn't just want to sit behind. A great wee race followed and even caught Adam by the last lap. A good race overall despite the rear end now being substantial remodelled.
