Yeah, Fenix's tutorials get edged out if you beat him to it. And some of them rely on you doing stuff in the exact order he talks about. First he mentions probes. Then he mentions building photon cannons. Once the Cannon is finished building, and if you still haven't fixed it, then he points out that the gateway has no power, explaining the whole "Protoss buildings need power" mechanic.
Hydras do 50 % damage against small, but full damage against protoss shields of any unit. Protoss shields take full damage from concussive, normal and explosive damage.
I don't know too much about the DPS of a photon cannon vs a sunken colony, but the photon cannon has everything packaged in (detector/both air and ground) so its a good all rounder with solid damage, but yes, extremely fragile. Bunkers are better in terms of DPS I think, but require food.
I think the Photon Cannon actually deals more DPS vs small targets than Sunken Colonies, but less versus large. Sunkens do half damage to small targets, and I think attack a bit slower. But if both the Sunken and the Photon are at full damage, the Sunken doing 40 per shot edges out the Photon despite the attack speed.
I think you think that be cause the projectiles for the photon cannnon looks similar to the dragoons, which is explosive. But the photon cannon damage is normal - which means it does equal to damage to all sizes. Sunkens do explosive damage.
That's what I said - that the Sunkens do half damage to small targets. I didn't specify whether the Photons do or not, but you are correct, they do equal damage to all targets.
You know, you'd expect Hydralisk to deal concussive or normal damage since they're firing ACID SPINES. But nope, apparently they're explosive? lul. Anyways, they deal half damage to small units, and 75% damage to medium units. Shields take full damage from literally every source of damage.
A thing I foresee is that if the upload schedule is kept you're gonna be finishing the Protoss campaign in a very, uh, solemn date. I may be reading too much into it, but crashing the Overmind on that specific date is... uh...
Has anyone ever looked at which race has the most critical upgrades? (+1 protoss attack for Zealot vs Zergling is a critical upgrade because zealots 2shot with +1 instead of 3shot) As an aside, +3 cracklings against buildings is the true way to "burn" them down quickly. (adding this with an edit) If blizzard, or any non-indie game dev, doesn't pay someone to read the forums and aggregate feedback, sterilizing out any rage, and just giving the information, then they're behind Day9. Separating those with an emotional investment in the work (both those that make a game and those that play it) with a random person to sift through information just makes sense.
Did you know the protoss have a giant temple where Dragoons are made but during the fall of auir it was destroyed by the zerg and that's why they use Stalkers more than Dragoons
I just worked my way through your Wings of Liberty brutal, Heart of the Swarm Brutal, Legacy of the Void Brutal walkthroughs. On top of your legacy of the void launch day playlist. I need you to finish this and Brood War. In the mean time I'll be watching you...r warcraft 3 videos.
I believe the FIrebat is the only unit with a dmg mod in SC1. It is the only one I remember on the top of my head Generally, the protoss get more out of some of the upgrades. Except for a few cases (usually for low damage air units), all atk upgrades are at least 2 per upgrade.
With what you said about the Battle.Net forums, that's kind of the case with any game's official forums. I've seen it plenty of times on League of Legend's forums, on Gearbox's, on Steam community forums, and so on. It's just more of a thing with official forums for games for whatever reason.
"Old ratio"? Hell, I can live with that. Discard any negative feedback! Whoopsie. I have just noticed those rotating thingies of the Dragoons actually rotating in different directions... Has it been in the classic? I'll have to go there and watch!
One time I saw a guy on the Battle.net forums (on my own thread) who was arguing with a Blizzard forum manager about having to press F5 to change the graphics to HD when Remastered launched (It was a bug where the game would not launch in HD). He literally had an argument with a blizzard employee about pressing a button.
I didn't see this conversation, so I'm jumping to conclusions, but I think forum managers cause a lot of these problems by trying to do PR and damage control and put a good face on stuff. That's clearly a bug that needs to be fixed. You say yes, sorry, that I'm reporting it to the devs. There shouldn't have been anything to argue about.
The Protoss had a lot of in-fighting in their past prior to the establishment of the Khala. They've also been fighting the Zerg for a while prior to the game's start - though not all that long in the grand scheme of their history. I suppose there could have been expeditions to hunt down the Dark Templar after the schism as well. But the Protoss have been shown to go on exploratory expeditions, mainly seeking Xel'Naga artifacts or information, and probably have encountered dangerous animals and creatures (SC2 features a fair number of surprisingly dangerous predators).
Well Reducing the Remastered videos for a new SC2 campaign is imo better because we and you get new expirience We already saw SC1/BW, don't get me wrong it is great that you do BW videos but if I had to chose I'd chose 1 new campaign 2 Remastered vids than 3 Remastered vids
Are you going to be the edgy grandpa in 30 ish years who never had kids and lives in the middle of 5 26 year olds who just had kids, and your the only guy for miles who yells at kids for being on your lawn?
yeah its really weird how they decided to make the zealots solid black with giant spines on the back and a long sharp tail and splashing acid all around while crawling along the walls
You know what would make the perfect ending to the Protoss campaign? Killing the overmind with reavers :D
1:10
"Clearly, Tassadar has failed us. You must not."

sang and the shield upgrade will make shields be as good as health?
No, it just adds armor to shields, basically. So +3 shield means 3 damage is subtracted from attacks hitting the shields.
Fun fact: The guy who voices Aldaris is also the narrator for Act 1 Quest 4 in Diablo 2. He also portrayed Max Tennyson for Ben 10
There's nothing better than talking to yourself without your mic working
Good vacations jay!

Heaven forbids you not gonna make reavers this campaign? Cmon Jay you're not gonna tell us you don't like them?!
You gotta make them, Reavers do full damage against everything
Entropi
Indeed, except usually the reavers do full damage ON mr. Jay, which is why he hated them.
Jayborino how can you even defeat the Zerg?
good to see fenix again
Im ok as long as i have something to watch, since i really enjoy your videos a lot
I love how the Protoss briefing screens are not made of orange Terran metal anymore.
Really enjoyin the series you made there. Keep it up!
One of the Protoss heroes sounds like the Tome from Diablo II that voice acts Horazon’s Journal too
You're talking about Aldaris...
It's Paul Eiding... Yeah, Grandpa Max... Or better yet, Roy Campbell...
A thing I foresee is that if the upload schedule is kept you're gonna be finishing the Protoss campaign in a very, uh, solemn date. I may be reading too much into it, but crashing the Overmind on that specific date is... uh...
Jay how old are you,?
if you don't mind me asking.
29
JayborinoPlays 9 years older than me.

heres the Warcraft 3 Motar Team moment of Aldaris' lines.

Dear God the battle.net forum
Oh, shitstorm is a sweet summer night compared to the battle.net forum
Dammit Jay, I already beat the game. Now I've got to wait for WoL.
One time I saw a guy on the Battle.net forums (on my own thread) who was arguing with a Blizzard forum manager about having to press F5 to change the graphics to HD when Remastered launched (It was a bug where the game would not launch in HD). 1:57 and the good ol' dumb dragoons lol
I play Starcraft 1 but can't play Starcraft 2 :(
Anyways love your vid.Keep up the good work
Starcraft 2 units are just underwhelming...especially the reavers, their scarabs are practically useless in that game
Starcraft 2, in general, is underwhelming. Not unplayable but underwhelming.
Jayborino' s homemade pylon farm
Jayborino is a reverse Artosis in every way
I wonder what he meant by "marched through hundreds of worlds together". Like what were they fighting? Or the purpose of those expeditions are

You didn't move Fenix close enough to the Nexus.
0:21 a probe warping in a building. Thought it was a combat scene at first
Well that building's gonna be destroyed soon for being so close to the Overmind
maybe zealots are coutnered hard by infested terrans
Well
Reducing the Remastered videos for a new SC2 campaign is imo better because we and you get new expirience

I'm expecting see how you manage the homeworld mission (I think 7 mission), that point is when shit just got real.
Are you going to be the edgy grandpa in 30 ish years who never had kids and lives in the middle of 5 26 year olds who just had kids, and your the only guy for miles who yells at kids for being on your lawn?
Fenix the Manix
fuck yeah Aldaris!
Why does the zealots look like the aliens from aliens?
yeah its really weird how they decided to make the zealots solid black with giant spines on the back and a long sharp tail and splashing acid all around while crawling along the walls
VinCronos Yt it makes me think about aliens from alien vs zerg
Dragoons also deal less damage vs zerglings
Aldaris from mass recall is matched abit the thing I like in this mission is to outnumber the zerg in this mission using dragoon
You don't need to build any units to win this mission lol.
Just send fenix in and instant gg, amirite?
The prima guides cant even keep units names right. overlord > overmind.
is opposite day
Hey, Jay! Please, play a map from arcade called ,,Fall of Fenix"! It's very awesome!
Даниил Карандеев supply
zealots look pretty bad in the remaster the old skin looks much better ont hem
first comment :)
good for you
