Don't forget, if you have chosen your pawn to be a mage, give them the Legion's Might staff from the Black Cat! It'll auto-revive them after a few seconds if they fall during combat.
3:19 Excuse me humans, but we think you've taken enough of our sacred spring water. The deer clan has lived here for thousands of generations and- *Picked up and set aside, continues collecting spring water*
Thank you!! I'm a nub and started playing two days ago and I'm already knighted by the king at Gran Soren. I use this tip and its a wonderful way to prepare for battle
For those still checking out videos of this game, an excellent way to stay topped off on health is to get the predation secret augment from Bitterblack Isle early on in the game. You can find it by opening chests in the bitterblack isle so no need to kill anything, not like you'd be able to early on. The augment heals you for 100 health for any enemy you kill other than humans (bandits and guards). That means even killing a bunch of deer rabbits etc. will get you to max health since it heals past the white bar.
empty flasks are the best item in the game, you never know when you'll need an empty flask! But yeah, once i figured out i could bottle healing spring water, i actually stopped using mages for anodyne, and often going without a healing pawn entirely, since Anodyne isn't super great for a healing spell anyway. Really, I found it liberating to make a party without having to rely on a mage.
6y later still helpful and finding new ways to play the game! ty for the help/tip even if hard mode 1 shots me 7 times out of 10 times. At some point this will be very handy :p.
Quick ways to get rid of Chimeras/Cyclops. Step 1: TAIL FIRST, Step 2: It will fall, NUKE the sh1t out of the cebra head, Step 3: well, rekt it. Cyclops Step 1: Shoot the tusks IF it has helmet, Step 2: Shoot the eye ONCE and let him fall OR Tenfold the shit out of his eye. Step 3: ?????? Step 4: PROFIT!
+Thenkai Daisuke There are other healing springs, yeah - I like to put a port crystal at this one, because it's right at the end of the map, and I like to put down my crystals in the corners of the map, more or less. I put one here, one at the shadowfort, and another at the wall place. I mean, if I get LOADS of port crystals then all bets are off, haha.
That is true, but i personally haven't got myself that far yet :P also i'm trying to do every hunting quest i can before advancing with main history, BUT... something is bugging me. already lvl 68 and i cannot kill a certain drake next to a fort. D: and many quests wants me to go thru him so i can scort people with not so smart AI there.
So this might sound stupid, but i bingewatched your videos a "long time" ago, and then i forgot to subscribe and forgot your name due to my terrible memory. But now i found your channel again, definitely subscribing now. :D
Silver Mont Hey Silver Mont, i'm not sure if you're interested in this but in Dragon's Dogma i just found something very weird. In the Duke's castle, second floor in the Visitors chambers i found Salvation Robes, seemed a very weird place to find that. It's probably not important, but i don't know. Anyway, thanks for getting me into Dragon's Dogma again, i'm enjoying it a lot.
Spring water: 180g per empty bottle, but unlimited resource. 330 hp heal 0.45 weight Potent greenwarish: 300g per grass, or get 100 free warish from that one escort quest. 350 hp heal 0.21 weight. Eat grass, stay dry.
as a mid-late game tip one of mystic archer's arrow buffs can cure all debilitations and gives u and targeted allies a buff that makes u immune to them... its extremely useful as cures cost alout
+ArkAngel Dexter And Dodge.. The Strider(everyone keeps calling it Ranger lol) class has a dodge move, under "core skills" i think. It does wonders, but only works for the mobility classes :\
Well, i'll be damned, i forgot about the ranger. lol Well, he'll have a dodge too, since it's mobility based However, he's got lower stats than the other dagger classes.. you NEED to stay out of big battles and launch arrows.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this lol. Since my first playthrough it just seems so logical to have an infinite heal portcrystal that is close to the manse and makes going to Bluemoon Tower the first time quicker
Spring waters also very helpful with a annoying board quest to obtain 5-10 ambrosial meats because a rotten one spawns in the mines fairly often and using the spring water can be returned to normal state if I'm correct
+Infinit_Phoenix Yeah! They are crazy damn useful. I learned last night that you can even heal the ox in the escort quest at the start of the game with them, apparently.
Alex your pawn is pretty badass! May I suggest edema warden however? It's basically the trusty broadsword with a permanent fire enchantment! Keep up the good work.
+Ethan Rae I'm still fairly early, but that is one of the swords I was planning on getting! I just wish more weapons were viable at the end-game. Like how in Dark Souls, a +15 longsword is just as good as a weapon you get at the end of the game, etc. Whereas early weapons in DD sometimes just become so... weak! I've never really liked "linear" progression with weapons, as it makes it so that everyone is gonna be using the "ultimate" sword at the end, etc. Got a bit off topic there haha. But yeah, I really like Edem's Warden, I'm gonna head to the golem today and see if I can get one there.
mryupjup It's more when you throw BBI into the mix. Because the tier 3 BBI weapons are just completely ridiculous in terms of outclassing everything else.
mryupjup dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Swords Anything blue is from BBI. As you can see - the strongest sword in vanilla is 938 attack. Tier 3 BBI is 1548. And that's considering Dragon's Dogma (the sword) got a rather large buff in a patch when Dark Arisen came out, too.
mryupjup You play Dark Souls? It works the same there. Weapons with magical + physical damage will have a higher overall "attack rating" so to speak, but it still counts as two separate damage types. Which effectively means that the enemy's physical and magical defence (two separate stats) will both come into effect in reducing the damage taken. Split defence, etc. So if you're a character focusing purely on physical/strength, then you might want to stick more to purely physical weapons. Whereas if you've been raising both magic and strength (say... as a Mystic Knight) then you'll benefit more from "magic" weapons.
You could rush BBI for some kingwarish. Early BBI is easy. I've gone there b4 going to the capital city every game so far. Then just sleep a few times, or just remember to return every 3 days. Unless you play hard mode, you'll probably not be using the kingwarish until mid-game, so they'l just accumulate.
Yeah, it's definitely worthwhile at times to go to BBI early on. I would generally advise against it for brand new players but that's mostly just for the sake of immersion
Meh I'd encourage it to anyone that likes Dark Souls. Running around in BBI gave me a dark souls feel. I dunno how port crystals are more immersive. Personally I think anything that is too safe and easy isn't immersive. But, why is immersion brought up?
+Triixster Sometimes these ideas just come to you! For me, it was more that I wanted to put it at the top of the map, and I realised there's a spring there (I was gonna put it at the tower, but I felt this was a better place)
+Malastrome15 I like almost all of the classes, other than mage. I've not played much of sorc, casters aren't generally my thing. I dunno which would be my fave, but my "most played" class would be rRnger and Mystic Knight, on the 360 version. I played a lot of Warrior and Magick Archer too.
Hey Silver Mont, thanks for those guide videos. Well, I kinda have gave up on this game, but your videos made me give Dragon's Dogma a second chance, and well, I'm enjoying it way more than the first time I played it. I'm almost done with the main story, I'm now in a mission that I need to colect 20 Wake Crystals (Or was the name Wake Stones?), and well, I thinks those tips on this video will be helpfull. Ah, you should do a video for where to farm money eventually (And maybe another one for how to arm Exp)
+JP do Ó Farming money, I'm not sure how I used to do that, if I ever did. I had the game before DA and BBI came out, so I spent some time farming the Ur-Dragon, which probably helped for gold and the like, just selling off additional weapons he dropped that I already had, etc. Especially after dragonforging them. XP/DP farming can be done in Gran Soren when the guards are hostile, as they spawn forever. Just stand on a wall and let your pawns pummel them for ages, haha. Good for DP on a vocation you don't play/want to play but want augments for, I guess.
Your character looks great, well done. is she so fast due to her size? I vaguely remember size having an affect on speed, stamina consumption and carrying capacity but im unsure now
+Viral Zero Yeah, I wanted to make her relatively short because it does have an impact on speed, climbing, stamina and all that. And I knew that I wanted to make her an Assassin who would do a fair amount of climbing. I ended up making her a bit TOO short though, haha. Then again, maybe that's realistic. How tall would you grow on a diet of fish?
Silver Mont Good thing is as soon as you hit "post game" you can buy a permant re-customization option for 10k rift crystals (you can pick them up or by having your pawn be rented iirc), fired the game back up on my 360 and im loving it, remade my character inspired by yours with it with no issues (from an originally male character) have yet to get much into bitterblack isle so its great to be playing again
There is a much deeper pre/end story with the character and pawn that you are forced to play as at the very beginning of the game! I wish the devs had more time to do what they wanted to do with this game when it was still in development so many years ago!
I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THIS! THANK YOU! Theres so much I don’t recall from my ps3 days. Was looking for a way to get lots of petrification cure items for the cockatrice fight in BBI. Just can’t find a merchant that sells a good supply of them. Any idea by chance. Thanks again for jogging my memory. The game is hard enough as is, so I don’t mind, but I try not to over do it. Best wishes to you.:)
It is a bit heavy though. Personally I like to keep the curatives on my person because the pawns would use them willy nilly sometimes, especially the ones for stamina, they don't even have stamina bars for fucks sake. I saw my pawn use the last mushroom mid battle and I facepalmed.
+winterwolf211 They don't have stamina bars, but they do use stamina - the bars are just "hidden" - you can check them from the status screen. They generally try to stop themselves from running too low on stam.
Yeah it's pretty handy! Of course, it falls off a bit near the end of the game as the water doesn't scale too well to that level of HP/damage. But it's sure handy.
Is there any chance you could do an LP on this? I'd love to see how you play the game and how you interpret aspects of the lore and the world elements themselves.
+Anal Cactus I might do one in the future, yeah. It'd have to be after Dark Souls III though probably, as for the time being I'm quite busy working on my countdown to DaS3 stuff, and then when it comes out, I'll wanna do a LP of that (along with lore videos and the like!) But I do really enjoy DD and I want to make more content for it. I just hope Capcom have eased up on their content ID claims.
how do you fight sword + shield enemies as strider? every time I fight one he seems invulnerable, taking no damage, even when my pawns distract him and I hit him in the back. hell, even when my fighter holds the fucker in place and I sit there shredding his face off, his health doesn't go down. what am I doing wrong?
+Phoenicius Infinius Infensas What level are you? And well, take Helm Splitter / Skull Splitter. That's one of the most ridiculous abilities in the game and exclusive to Striders, IIRC
Well it has been some time but I remember there was a thing with equipment burden from light to very heavy. And every next level of burden made the character move slightly slower. I wanted to be fast but I was usually on heavy or average burden. I didn't know what items to keep and what to just ignore. What items should be my main healing and such.
+TheBlueStrawberry Rank Strider up to max with Fighter also, then you will learn 2 passives, one increase carrying weight and the other to increase mobility (speed of very light burden when you are in light burden state for example)
+TheBlueStrawberry you can use your pawn to carry all your heavy stuff. really the only things you should carry is your armour, weapons, and curatives (HP and stamina cures) everything else like loot from dead bodies (bones, meat, stones) those will be heavy and will build up if you don't store them in the bank or just give to your pawn as your Mobile-bank
Hi Silver Mont - just started play DDDA. Can I just check - will the Spring Water actually make the curatives UNLIMITED in the literal sense, as in you have infinite healing or is that limited to the number of flasks of Spring Water you have?
+Chan Wern Jin (Gintoki-Zero) Considering what happened in that chamber, I'm not sure if you can go back and retrieve it... but you should definitely give it a try. You might be able to hop down there, grab it, and then ferrystone outta there.
Chan Wern Jin How 'bout the tentacles? I went back there myself (even though I had the crystal already) and it wasn't there. Although I wasn't sure if it would be or not, as I was in a later phase of the game.
+Silver Mont the tentacles were gone. I was not that far in the game. when I went down there it was before I completed any of the quests you get with the wyrm hunter license
+gamingmalarkey I started doing it in BBI, because stuff in there got pretty nasty! Or at least, when I got into BBI I realised I wanted a lot more curatives than I had. And then this idea occurred to me!
+80gunslinger I like it a lot - it was my GOTY 2012! And I think it's really impressive what they managed on their first ever open-world game. Compare with say, Elder Scrolls, GTA and so forth. They are on their 5th/6th entries. DD is the first ever open-world game that team has made, and I think it came out amazingly, all things considered! I really hope they make a sequel. The franchise has huge potential.
Mate, hey, listen. Narrate Audiobooks perhaps you could use as a side hustle you know just some extra bucks. You get good crisp voice and good diction. Good job on the video.
Haha, that would be nice, although I bet it's hard work! And there's a lot better people out there. Maybe I should read my own book, for practice. But then everyone would hear how crap it is 🤔
well. I still play with PAWNS for many reasons. The MAGE will heal and cure...and do lite attacks..as a preventive measure..and carry stuff. Those bottle are heavy. it gets old to click your invetory menu all the time...MAGE healing dose it automatically.lol Plus at 4000 out of 5000HP..is A LOT of curitives to carry around. Sometimes..the mage will cast an ORB for you to RUN into...during CRAZY wacked out battles...My MAGE is BAD ARSS..She cast an ORB when Im shooting arrows or using Mystic Knight ( swinging the ORB)...she'll cast SHEILD and BLIND enemies..So they CANT SEE me or damage me..Plus if i screw up...run out of STAMINA..She cast SPIKE of ICE to POKE the DRAGON in the heart..or WHIP Cyclops with whip lighting...lmao The Sorcerer is TOO SLOW..to cast High spells...in most battles. That's why it takes time to find the correct PAWN..that's SMART ( A.I.) to cast quick lite spells in lite combat.. Most of it is Just for SHOW... That;s why you have to keep the UR distracted..so it wont attack the socerer while she's trying to cast a HIGH ICE spell...( or if you want a Visual effect show) It depends how I FIGHT...vast cast Healing ORBs for me to RUN IN AND OUT during battles if it get hairy ( Moslty UR dragon going crazy)...And she'll heal me after each battle..So I have room to carry LOOT..instead of curitives. That's why in my GAME....the A.I. will try to kill my MAGE first.lmao It's just different combat for FUN/Visual SHOW..You dont alway have to kill everything the most effective or quickest way.. PLAY the game for FUN...I scale the BIG GIANT RED DRAGON just for kicks and giggles....when I fight it ( before you climb on it;s back) I do all kinds of stupid stuff to PISS off the A.I. ..or see how it'll react...instead of trying to kill it.
+erybotond Well, the PC version came out on Friday and it's a game I really enjoy, so I've taken the opportunity to share some tips! Plus it does give me a slight break from Dark Souls, as I'm currently working on my countdown to Dark Souls III playlist, which is a lot of Dark Souls stuff! Incidentally, that countdown starts this Saturday.
+erybotond It is but it only just came out on PC. It obviously runs a lot better and can reach a lot more people now which is awesome. Hopefully it leads to a sequel!
Don't forget, if you have chosen your pawn to be a mage, give them the Legion's Might staff from the Black Cat! It'll auto-revive them after a few seconds if they fall during combat.
Thanks
Yeah, I have been upgrading Legion's Might for the first time. I have it silver forged so far.
Don't really see the need for that. You can revive everyone yourself really fast if the need be.
Probably better staves available.

+Garl Vinland It was a slightly worrying thought to think I was bottling water that deer walk, bathe and defecate in.
Silver Mont Why, that is the very reason why it is blessed!

You can see the deer clan angry in the background later.
XD bruh

Fighter platoons?
Personally this is my favourite game ever right next to dark souls 😊
A man of fine taste.
Same here!

Hey Silver Mont, i'm not sure if you're interested in this but in Dragon's Dogma i just found something very weird. In the Duke's castle, second floor in the Visitors chambers i found Salvation Robes, seemed a very weird place to find that. It's probably not important, but i don't know.

Keep these Tip coming mate.. seriously... I'm having a rough time with this game so far

+Mr Eboric I don't think it was! Why, what happened?
You directly commented to me on the last video about the exact same topic.
Mr Eboric
Oh, well I think I had already made this one when the last one went out - I just had to stagger the uploads because my internet is so slow.

No problem man I still watch all your stuff even if I don't like the subject matter. Keep on M8

I found the spring by accident and the crystal. I didnt know the water could heal everyone. Thanks

I really hope the PC version is eventually ported to PS4 and Xbox 1. From what I have researched it really is the definitive version tech wise.
+01ChaosWarrior Hey, the more people who get to play, the better, far as I'm concerned!
good tips keep it up the game doesn't hold your hand so thanks for the info!!!

Did this. Allowed me to ditch my rift mage pawn.
Way faster healing as well.
Yeah it's pretty handy! Of course, it falls off a bit near the end of the game as the water doesn't scale too well to that level of HP/damage. But it's sure handy.
I'll keep this in mind if something gets insanely hard
Is there any chance you could do an LP on this? I'd love to see how you play the game and how you interpret aspects of the lore and the world elements themselves.
+Anal Cactus I might do one in the future, yeah. It'd have to be after Dark Souls III though probably, as for the time being I'm quite busy working on my countdown to DaS3 stuff, and then when it comes out, I'll wanna do a LP of that (along with lore videos and the like!)
But I do really enjoy DD and I want to make more content for it.
Silver Mont Level 9
155 Strength for weapon 1 and 125 Strength for weapon 2
do pawns use group healing curatives?
They can do
I use these constantly. I just wish they didn’t weigh so much.
Can you make an episode on managing equipment? This and classes made me quit Dragon's Dogma a year ago.
+TheBlueStrawberry Anything and particular you had issues with?
+WFoong98 also there are skills to increase your carry limit so the bar for lightweight-normal-heavy-really heavy is much more far apart
I DIDNY KNOW YOU COULD DO THIS
Starting out the game , for first time
Where is eternal ferrystone, where to get it ?
Where are nearest springs?
Hi Silver Mont - just started play DDDA. Can I just check - will the Spring Water actually make the curatives UNLIMITED in the literal sense, as in you have infinite healing or is that limited to the number of flasks of Spring Water you have?
hey silver Mont people might have already asked but will you be starting a lets play of dragon's dogma?
+Elder blood Not sure. Maybe in the future, but at least not until after DaS3.
dude your awesome your gonna make me fan-girl allover the place no one has ever talked to me back *crys with joy
god damn it! i missed the port crystal in lure of the abyss...........
+Chan Wern Jin (Gintoki-Zero) Considering what happened in that chamber, I'm not sure if you can go back and retrieve it... but you should definitely give it a try. You might be able to hop down there, grab it, and then ferrystone outta there.
+Silver Mont the port crystal was still there.
Chan Wern Jin
How 'bout the tentacles? I went back there myself (even though I had the crystal already) and it wasn't there. Although I wasn't sure if it would be or not, as I was in a later phase of the game.
+Silver Mont the tentacles were gone. I was not that far in the game. when I went down there it was before I completed any of the quests you get with the wyrm hunter license
cool I have actually played through dragons dogma twice and never did this
+gamingmalarkey I started doing it in BBI, because stuff in there got pretty nasty! Or at least, when I got into BBI I realised I wanted a lot more curatives than I had. And then this idea occurred to me!
Silver Mont yeah BBI is a bit brutal
How do you make liquid vim?
Pickled Mushroom and uh... well, I forgot. But a lot of things. I think fish, nasty meat, stuff like that
@@SilverMont if Dragons Dogma 2 ever comes out should they add a martial arts class?
If we get a DD2, yeah, I think we need a monk/pugilist style thing, along with a spear user. And another magic one, maybe like a summoner/necromancer?
@@SilverMont 100%
You maybe commented on this, but how do you, as a DS player, like Dragon's Dogma? I suppose you like it, since you're making videos about it :)
+Silver Mont Great, thanks for the quick reply. I will give it a try.
I only ever played the original version on Xbox 360.
Do you know how to get the Eternal Ferrystone on the PC version?
+Faolan Hart {Animal Above The Man} It's in the storage at the Inn in Gran Soren. so you'll have to reach the capitol before you get it.
Ah kk, thank you. Must have missed it.
+Faolan Hart {Animal Above The Man} As mentioned, just pick it up from storage at the Gran Soren inn after completing the hydra escort.
So damn tired about thos stupid exams! Wanna play Dragon's Dogma. fuck.
your telling me... im learning to be a flight instructor and i have to write a brief and give them to my cfi -.-
Mate, hey, listen.
But then everyone would hear how crap it is 🤔
Where the hell is the healing spring tho u didn't mention it?!
You can follow the path I took in the video
well. I still play with PAWNS for many reasons. The MAGE will heal and cure...and do lite attacks..as a preventive measure..and carry stuff. Those bottle are heavy. it gets old to click your invetory menu all the time...MAGE healing dose it automatically.lol
Plus at 4000 out of 5000HP..is A LOT of curitives to carry around.
Sometimes..the mage will cast an ORB for you to RUN into...during CRAZY wacked out battles...My MAGE is BAD ARSS..She cast an ORB when Im shooting arrows or using Mystic Knight ( swinging the ORB)...she'll cast SHEILD and BLIND enemies..So they CANT SEE me or damage me..Plus if i screw up...run out of STAMINA..She cast SPIKE of ICE to POKE the DRAGON in the heart..or WHIP Cyclops with whip lighting...lmao
The Sorcerer is TOO SLOW..to cast High spells...in most battles.
That's why it takes time to find the correct PAWN..that's SMART ( A.I.) to cast quick lite
spells in lite combat.. Most of it is Just for SHOW...
That;s why you have to keep the UR distracted..so it wont attack the socerer while
she's trying to cast a HIGH ICE spell...( or if you want a Visual effect show)
It depends how I FIGHT...vast cast Healing ORBs for me to RUN IN AND OUT during battles if it get hairy ( Moslty UR dragon going crazy)...And she'll heal me after each battle..So I have room to carry LOOT..instead of curitives.
That's why in my GAME....the A.I. will try to kill my MAGE first.lmao
It's just different combat for FUN/Visual SHOW..You dont alway have to kill everything
the most effective or quickest way.. PLAY the game for FUN...I scale the BIG GIANT RED DRAGON just for kicks and giggles....when I fight it ( before you climb on it;s back)
I do all kinds of stupid stuff to PISS off the A.I. ..or see how it'll react...instead of trying to kill it.
How are you so fast, how do you increase your stamina
Character height impacts speed and stamina
@@SilverMont Is there a way to change your characters height after customization?
@@iin2deppa bit late, but you can pay Jonothan in the encampment 25,000 rift crystals
@@mikeyb.0121 thank you 🙏
Will this game come to xbox 1 and Playstation 4?
+war518 Maybe? Not sure, though
What's with all the Dragon's Dogma vids? Am I missing something?
Btw, is this game like Kingdom Hearts, in the sense that your companions use up all the healing items?
+erybotond Well, the PC version came out on Friday and it's a game I really enjoy, so I've taken the opportunity to share some tips! Plus it does give me a slight break from Dark Souls, as I'm currently working on my countdown to Dark Souls III playlist, which is a lot of Dark Souls stuff! Incidentally, that countdown starts this Saturday.
+Silver Mont Wait, isn't Dragon's Dogma like... a 2-3 year old game?
+erybotond It is but it only just came out on PC. It obviously runs a lot better and can reach a lot more people now which is awesome. Hopefully it leads to a sequel!
+poorcolossus Never played it....
Currently hooked on Bloodborne tho :P
Dude how are you so fast!?
Sprinting!
@@SilverMont I know but is there a skill or do you just carry nothing all the time?
Why the fuck cant i access my curatives on xbox? I can only see them in the storage box
Tx bloke.
usless this is a very small cure
It's also free and heals the entire party, so you can spam it if needs be.
Looking forward to Dogma Online.
+Oldmangoomba I'd like to give it a go!
