    I put wax mistakes back on the shelf with the next bisque firing. I've never had much luck with techniques like sanding, washing, any kind of rubbing process to recover a wax over run, drip, etc. Just re-bisque fire the piece and you're back to a fresh piece to work with.

    That's interesting that graphite Burns off in the kiln, but many crucibles are made out of graphite.

    • @PeppoMusic
      @PeppoMusic 4 роки тому +1

      Those graphite crucibles are not fully made out of graphite, but are technically fired pottery with a lot of graphite in them. Pencil marks are just graphite powder sitting atop the surface. Powder is easy to ignite, something that's mixed and solid is not.

      Jerry Whidby yes it’s very possibly. Mix glaze components in dry form. There’s chemistry tables that help you create a glaze that actually works.

      Priscila, la presentadora dice que el wax que usa es "REED WAX", en Norte America lo puedes encontrar en tiendas de Pottery, haz una busqueda en google con el argumento: reed wax mondaes . Reed wax viene del wax que se usa en la reparaciones de acordiones y siendo que el acordion es un instrumento importante para el Tango, no dudo que puedas encontrar el Reed Wax que artesanos de acordiones usan en tu pais. Yo no he usado Reed Wax aun, pero se que el Reed Was que venden para pottery no se necesita calentar para que tenga consistencia liquida, el que los que reparan acordiones usan si lo calientan antes de usarlo. Buena suerte.

    I love this style, but i think it's too technical for me. If i was to make pottery that i wanted to sell in a professional sense i think this is perfect. I just prefer a more raw element of a handmade product. I heard a saying once when i was learning to crochet and they said "If there are mistakes, that's okay. That's the beauty of a handmade craft."
