cant get the replacement part in. guess i need the turnbuckle after all im guessing you never replaced it bc you never posted a video showing u putting the replacement in.
Worked on my 99 eldo. Beautiful. To remove all i did was remove screws, pulled motor out a little, used wire cutters to cut blower impeller blades, and after removing motor, impeller is laying there to be picked up.
This was a good video as a reference. I just replaced mine on a 98 Caddy Eldorado. I did not remove the coli packs or move the engine. I just moved all the spark plug wires out the way and finessed it out and in.
There is stamping "CUT HERE". You should cut some plastic above the blower motor, then unscrew one bolt and remove the cover it holds. That's all. Now you can remove/install your motor easily.
Not on all of them. My 96 DeVille doesn't have that. All the black plastic stuff is gone and there's nothing but metal. There is no cover. Don't know why they didn't do that on all of them. I may just cut the metal and peel it back. So over this. Got the motor pulled back as far as it'll go with the turnbuckle and still can't get the new one in. Fucking GM crap!
Wow! You did it the hard way. I have a 93' Eldorado that looks very similar to yours, but It wasn't necessary for me to take a part hardly anything. My biggest problem is installing the after market model (blower motor) which has a different placement for the cooling hose. I was hoping your video showed the installation so I'd get an idea, but still pretty good.

I have a 97 Cadillac Eldorado, and my fan motor just went
@@jacobr407 - I have a 1995 and mine just smoked like a barbecued steak! Were you able to replace it yourself?
@@HighSierraBob I was not, a couple months later I had gotten into an accident and totaled the car.
@@jacobr407 - that sucks!
This guy did it the hard way
i did it this way also without the turnbuckle. i also wanted to change out the spark plugs and sand down the ground wire contact.
What size turnbuckle did you use. Thank you
Can't hear you. What year is the Caddy?
What happens if you take all of that out from the fire wall is it just AC cause I’m taking out all my AC and need to know what can I take out
What is the name of the tool you used to slide (pull) the engine over so you could get to fan?
Carla B it’s called a turnbuckle. You can buy them at just about any hardware store
Талреп.
