Any detergent is fine. I used regular detergent for all my kids clothes when they were babies.
The bottle with the straw is to help to elevate the baby to get air in them as they drink.
Every baby is different. My first born wasn't affected at all but my other two were affected by scented detergent, and my 2yr old still gets eczema from it
