Mike Myers does the role of Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard and Goldmember. 4 distinct characters in different makeup and each of them have their own subplots.
Yeah with the use of computer special effects and chroma key compositing and special effects makeup, a good screenplay, a good director, a studio behind this flick and a great ensemble cast this movie couldn't been made.

Saw this in the theatre when it came out in June of 1999. First movie I ever saw twice. I liked the first one, but was so surprised how funny this one was. Non stop laughter. I actually kind of wish I could go back in time and see it again for the first time. It was the last great summer before responsibility and life caught up to me. Now when I see this movie it’s always with a hint of nostalgia lingering in the background.
I feel that brotha. So many movies I want to go back and watch from 1999-2001. I feel like that is when the movie theatre really peaked. It was my favorite thing to do next to going to the mall. Movies got more flat, too preachy and money grabby after 9/11 and 2008. Social media really broke movies too I think.
I have such a fondness for these movies because i watched them with my dad when i was younger. I can watch them literally on repeat and never get bored.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me > Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery Am I the only one who likes the sequel better? Idk, it's funnier to me, and it has Mini-Me!
Well, as fantastic as the first movie has been, I always favoured the 2nd one. 1.) It has amazing songs, that are not just from the sixties ("Just the two of us", and "Evil"); 2nd) Ilike Heather Graham much more than Liz Hurley (Liz was great, but Heather was just a better female sidekick... well, at least for Austin. Heather was kinda boring, and Beyoncé was kinda meh... her singing was great, but her acting was just too forced for my taste. 3.) The introduction/role of Mini-Me. 4.) Fat Bastard... Nuff Said. As for the third movie... in my opinion it just didn't fit into the series. The intro, and outro with Tom Hanks, Kevin Spacey, Danny De Vito, and John Travolta was amazing, and I kinda liked Goldmember as a character, but everything else just seemed out of place. No Charles Napier... no psychedelic transitions... the changing relationship of Dr. Evil, and Mini-Me (respectively: "Austin, and Mini-Me") just didn't felt right... Vat Bastards diet, and the whole "he's his brother"-thing just seemed out of place.
