  • Here's a 2-3 year EDC personal review. I go over my personal experience and talk about a safety issue with the G2C. It's a great pistol for the price. Hopefully this gives you some pointers and either way I appreciate the view!

Forget the comments about getting rid of this. After 2 years of you shooting and carrying that gun, I have more confidence in that weapon and you shooting it than just buying a more expensive gun. Good work man. Dedicate yourself to a single reliable gun and train with that gun. Alot more valuable than ten safe queens that dont run or you wont carry. I have a g2c and have several other guns as well. The g2c is a fantastic entry level gun. And it is a safe reliable weapon with a lifetime warranty. And its accurate. Whats not to like. People in the comments section often time suck, but the g2c does not! Keep it up ❤

@theccwdad Exactly. If its reliable and accurate you don't need to get anything else because the next gun won't be any MORE reliable or accurate. Haha. Yes the ergonomics are superior to any factory Glock. A Glock won't do anything better. You already know about the restrike trigger and know to stage that trigger like a double action and it fires just as fast as any single action striker.

I have so many rounds in my taurus g2c i can air rack it and never had safety issues and even replaced alot of parts like Lakeline LLC barrel, Stainless Steel Striker Assembly to replace the plastic sleeve and also put a Stainless Steel Recoil Assembly with stock weight and lastly put a Keep tinkering trigger that keeps the double action feature

Keep the G2c. Affordable, yet durable, I’ve had zero problems and I’ve fired hundreds of rounds thru it for sure easy since I’ve had it.

Yep. I decided to keep the g2c as a backup upgraded to the g3c as primary along with my optional Taurus 856 38 special snub nose revolver (Which I love for pocket carry). The G2C and G3C and Revolver will remain in my arsenal until I am dead and willed to love ones because they are all little gems. My G3C did away with the safety which I prefer but the g2c is a bit slimmer and has the cool desert eagle type front section slide.

My G2c manual safety works just fine and I have had mine since 2018 with over 600 rounds so I don't know what your pistol's manual safety problem is. Get some self defense ammo besides that ball ammo. Get a Galco Stow N Go STO286 leather IWB holster for it or a Bulldog leather medium belt slide holster for OWB. I don't carry appendix because I don't like the muzzle pointed at my femoral arteries. I prefer either 4 O'clock position or cross draw. If you like pocket carry though that is up to you and your feet. I have an 856 also but its a Defender three inch. I agree about the revolver. I actually prefer the revolver over an autoloader because I shoot autoloaders well but I shoot revolvers better and yes their better reliability over autoloaders is well known. For those griping about six shot revolver capacity, you will never have the time to reload the revolver in a five second gunfight because it will be over and with only two to three rounds fired on average in a gunfight doubtful you will even get through the whole cylinder except with multiple threats. Same for an autoloader in a five second gunfight. But you can carry a Kaztac Wrapid loader if you want a fast revolver reload. Nothing wrong with carrying a revolver. Bad ammo can happen with any gun. Thanks for sharing.

Hey thank you very much for all of this information. I did just get another hard case for the g2c and it’s working a little better than my previous one and allows for the light. I just uploaded a video review of it as well if you want to check it out. It’s a decent option if you don’t mind tinkering with it a bit. I will look into these holsters you mentioned. Once it’s placed in the holster I feel really safe as long as it’s a good fit. When the safety failed I was aiming it at a 45 degree angle towards the ground. I pressed it hard and the hollow point literally exploded in the gun. I noticed smoke all over but barely found any fragments. I then noticed a big blood spot in my jeans and was a little shocked. After investigation I realized it was a tiny hole so knew it was a small fragment. Either way I would just be a little careful with it and don’t do what I did. I don’t recall how hard I pulled it but I learned my lesson. I have tried different positions and I like to rotate it. I’ll def check out those holsters and considerations. Yeah after the ball ammo failed that one time as seen in the video I lots trust in it as well but I agree anyways. I do need some quick loaders for the revolver but I agree 6 shots is a lot better than none. Sometimes I even carry a tiny Taurus pt22 and feel safe with it. I saved my buddy from being bitten by a snake with it once and it has never misfired once with around 10 years of taking it fishing and so forth. I’ll make a review soon but I let a loved one borrow it. Thanks for sharing your experience!

@@GarrettChumchal The Galco Stow N Go IWB won't fit your light but the Bulldog belt slide holster OWB should. I don't use a light on my pistols. I use a stand alone light if I need one but I prefer not to use a light unless absolutely necessary to identify the target and then its quick on and off immediately changing locations because I don't want to give my position away and make myself a target. When you turn a light on everybody knows where you are. The military does not practice light and noise discipline for nothing. My 856 three inch in my Andicen leather IWB/OWB holster with thumb break probably won't fit your 856 two inch. Yes I am of the mind that one of the first rules of the four rules of gun safety is to never point a gun or muzzle at anything you are not will to destroy or kill and that includes yourself when carrying. Keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction at ALL times.

An additional upgrade you could do is change the trigger to a keep tinkering one it's only between 25-35 bucks way cheaper than Glock Zev triggers and it works and feels the same as a Zev..the keep tinkering trigger is night and day compared to the long pull on the stock one but only downside is you lose the restrike capability of the double action but who uses those anyways

I love my Tauresesess... G2c and G3....I also dont feel the need to buy any other gun. Also I choose to only buy pistols that will fit the MCK or any other conversion kit and the safety on these guns are perfect for a converted carbine. Plus I prefer safety. It is true that if the trigger is slightly pressed while flipping the the safety on will cause the safety to fail. Not claiming that is what happened to you. Good video.

I have that same flashlight. I need to get the same holster you have that allows you to carry IWB the clip draw on the back of my Glock is no longer okay with this flashlight when I reach into draw it out from IWB if I'm wearing any type of shorts with elastic waistband it catches 67% of the time on the light switch paddles instantly muzzling the barrel right into my lower abdomen. I need to get a better holster now and probably take off that quick draw backplate
