- Interviews with all four members of Pantera in Fayetteville, North Carolina shortly before the release of Vulgar Display of Power (while on tour with Skid Row). Also, Riki LOST THE RING OF POWER!!
one of the most important Metal albums ever..
PANTERA RULES !
I love these boys. Also sidebar; Riki used the same talking points and asked these guys the SAME damn questions during his interview with them when Far Beyond Drive Came out. Wtf, I’ve seen both interviews. Imagine having to have the same conversation with some interview every time you come out with a new album. That’s like the musician’s equivalent of going out on the same bad first date with the same girl all over again 🤣
What I would do to see the entire pro shot video footage of that concert. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
I saw Pantera twice in the early 90s . First time they were supporting Megadeath .. ikr. That was the very first I ever heard them and to be there for a wow moment in my life .. They totally stole the show… it says something when the support group are better than headlines.. I miss these guys so much.. the next day I went out and bought thr album ( coyboys from Hell) ., well at the time I didn’t even know about the glam days .. never give a shit about that Seen anyway.,, I m from South Wales., I saw them both times at the Newport Leisure Centre also in South Wales 🏴….The seconded time I saw them they were the headliners .. The Support band .. Downset which was The Vulgar a display of power tour …

Awesome.
I remember when CFH came out and couldnt imagine them getting heavier until Vulgar came out . If you was there you already know. Pantera blew everybody away.
And the same applies to Far beyond driven, you just dont know how but they did it

Good to see Phil before the Heroin days...

They were more happier when dime was alive after he passed they look more unhappy than they were
They all went through torrential loss. Especially Rex. Metal music brings inherent dramatic loss - it seems to go hand in hand. These are Phil's words. Losing Dime was like losing a part of themselves. They grew up together. All of their experiences were together during their most formative years. They found acceptance in each other. It was destiny - I think it's a story comparable to The Beatles legacy. And in many ways, more tragic .
@@idancefromtheheart yes dime Death fucked up the band especially them reuniting
