I would damp a tea towel, & using an iron in top the moisture swells the wood causing it to regain shape I hope that makes sense as I don’t exactly know the extent of the repair

25 years installing (and repairing) sheet vinyl flooring, it doesn’t work. A patch is all that’s fixing this.
