Chill everyone. They're not going to reveal the Chapter 1 victim so easily. Also, here's a list of the most interesting moments I found: 1. The bloody knife at 2:08 (which is obviously the death reveal) 2. Cassidy holding Damon at 0:29 (who looks like he may have been attacked) 3. Someone in a suit and tie at 0:30 holding what looks like an arrow. 4. The letters that look like they're addressed from Damon My guess is someone sent those letters to various folks posing as Damon and took out one of the members who showed up at the designated place/time in order to frame Damon. The case will be about clearing Damon's name and figuring out who set him up.
For some reason, a part of me after seeing the Cassidy thing with Damon makes me think that might be a very small peak at the closing argument just from how the art looks
If they were to do that somehow I don’t think it would be chapter one it would be cool if he was like a chapter 4 victim just for the plot twist factor

To be fair, this has a whole team, a few others like Brave DR only have one person. Still I appreciate studios and other Fangan creators keeping us in the loop. Look at poor Kill/Cure, it's had so many ups and downs and they're still trying.

i don't think toshiko is the victim just because she wasn't clearly shown in the trial footage. if anything the fact that they showed nearly everyone is an indicator that the p:eg team make fake trial footage to avoid spoilers
I just finished checking the trial, you beat me to it lol. Also totally agree with the red herring thing, I think it might actually be one of the characters who had a line during the trial, to mislead us even further

Are we as a collective human species ready for the first chapter of Eden’s Garden? CAN we as a species even prepare for such a important event? Now, is it fear of the unknown and what might happen, or is it excitement that compels my hype for the exact same reasons? I’m beyond ecstatic to see what is to come, there really isn’t anything that can truly, definitively capture THE Danganronpa experience besides the games and fan projects inspired by it and after playing through all official and some great fan games already, there still rests a hunger and longing to witness another Danganronpa killing game, Eden’s Garden proved to be my most anticipated Danganronpa games let alone one of my most anticipated games period. The prologue alone hooked my like a fish to a rod with a big worm, sure, the wait may have been a bit long but considering what’s in store game play wise and graphically, and that this is a fan project, and most fanganronpa take wayyyy longer than this (not to hate on other ones), I’m 100% cool with that, my hype still burns for this, and I think that speaks volumes about how good a Project this is. I could keep going, but there probably ain’t enough words in dictionary to describe my true hype for this, The graphics, the music, the voice acting, the characters, the sprites for the characters, the sound effects and audio, the symbolism and of corse the story. My greatest complements to the team for putting in so much great work and getting this out in a pretty short time considering everything, AND for free?! This may very well be the my favorite Danganronpa experience as it stands, and if the prologue and teasers are anything to go by, it’s only gonna get bigger and better from here! But considering that this is a killing game, I’m a bit worried cause it’s boutta get bad!
Yeah, everyone's so afraid to see their favourite character meet his/her end. Which is the one thing that everyone shouldn't do in this kind of game, but everyone did it anyway.

Or maybe they put "2" because the first one was in the case of the prologue (since Tozu had not been introduced until the end of the trial and that is why they did not put "Tozu Tablet #1"), BUT IT IS STILL SUSPICIOUS TO HAVE A "2" RIGHT THERE !!!
Maybe someone's attacked but survives? And the medical info is on "Tozu Tablet #1" while the actual victim's information is on "Tozu Tablet #2" or vice versa?
I think toshiko not being present is just a red herring. There are probably fake trial scenes used just in this trailer. Also the chapter poster has damon,cassidy,jett and the chameleon symbol which represents diana. So i suppose they are the main protagonists of the chapter, whether it be victims,culprits or important to solve the case. Or maybe cassidy and jett are just put there randomly for red herring purposes. But i believe diana is going to get involved somehow

ME TOO RIGHT NOW LMAO I WROTE IT IN MY CALENDAR AND WORRIED ABOUT NOT HAVING TIME AND PUT OFF OTHER THINGS AND THOUGHT ABOUT IT ON AND OFF FOR A WEEK READY TO FIXATE ON IT I AM A FOOL (I really thought it was obvious this time, like "Yeah of course it's the new chapter" but nope x) but the date reveal is very reasonable. At least I have time now and know far in advance. Oh, actually, it releases at the same time as my winter/christmas break starts!)
My surface-level predictions about the chapter: - Someone's cause of death is poison related -- the pharmacy is one of the more prominent areas that they showed here. - Someone attempts to frame Damon via a fake letter -- we see a glimpse of a letter that says "meet me at **** at 8:10pm , Damon Maitsu". This isn't the only letter we see in the trial, but I think this is different than the others. - The students realize that this place is made specifically for them -- Damon's room had a carved golden nameplate -- something that isn't exactly quick to make. Whoever has made the game, made it for these students specifically - Toshiko is NOT the victim -- the devs are too detail-oriented to just throw the fact that we don't see her in the reveal trailer to kill her. If anything, we might see behind her fan and see her face. I think it's more likely that she isn't a key player yet and is just a red herring, especially as she's been predicted to be the first death by fans for a while now. - If I had to pick who will be a large part of the chapter, by bet's on Jett and Cassidy. He quite literally wears a form of a veil (ala the chapter name) and she rallies behind Damon in one of the splash glimpses. They're also the two featured in the promo art at the end, which may honestly be a red herring. I think that Damon's gonna get caught in between a conflict between the two of them. But honestly, I don't think they'll be victims/killers, but rather used as a literary device to represent conflict (or its resolution...?) in the group. Added note: Cassidy opens the chapter as we've seen in the preview. No matter what, she'll at least get a worrying amount of screen time. - My personal list of people who I think will live are Damon, Toshiko, Jett, and Cassidy. I'm personally also thinking that Wolfgang, Grace, Jean, and Eva won't be leaving us yet (maybe a killer, but FOR SURE making it to trial wink wink) - So who's leaving the cast?? I'm gonna go crazy with an out of nowhere guess, but I think Mark (to my own dismay, as they're some of my faves). I'm guessing Mark because there's literally two frames of a recording microphone, and I feel like it'll be from an important CG in the chapter that the devs cut so small intentionally. Maybe some recording incriminates someone idk. NO IF IT'S WOLFGANF OR ULYSSES I'LL BE PISSED! But I wouldn't mind if either of them are the culprit, I love seeing how executions turn out given the fact they revolve around the ultimate. Given that, I feel like it'd be hard to come up with an execution given those talents.
I mean, it's kind of obvious based on the title, right? The characters pledged that they are civilized and morally stable but are a bunch of "hypocrites" cuz someone killed a child.
Imagine if Wolfgang did that holy o_o He has the scale thing which often represents values/morals so that would feel extra hypocritical and dark. + the sheep pin but his name starts with "wolf". But I doubt this specific situation would happen and I doubt that Toshiko's the first to die. And we don't know if the chapter title "Beneath the vail of hypocrisy" is a red herring or referring to someone else, maybe like Diana because she was so "We're friends! We'll never kill!" about the situation, or Damon because he's kind of arrogant, maybe Jett because literal helmet/veil, or maybe it's unrelated to the killer/victim and it's just Damon getting nicer lol (Also yay Rain Code)
That last image is intriguing. We have our pro-tag, & everyone’s favorite drag racer and Gamer girl there, posing menacingly. Yet there is that weird tail similar to that girl who wears that chameleon bracelet. What more that note is interesting is Damon involved in some way. 0:46 Interesting how, in this painting, Tozu has taken God's place (with the angels behind him surely representing the students) and Mara has taken Adam's. The popular theory in the fandom is that Damon is the one true reference to Adam. Odd how they have subverted expectations by separating Mara, of all people, from everyone else. Is this to show us that she isnt participating willingly ? That she is as vulnerable as the students ? Did she take up the role of enforcer in order to accomplish a greater goal ? Did Tozu create Mara, just like God created Adam ? So many questions.
@staydetermined6717 My guess is that it is very similar to ours and the only difference is this "Ultimate" worship they have going on that is pretty much ingrained into their society. I very much support the theory that Tozu and Mara have a vendetta against the UTP and have been enlisted by whoever is running the killing game to host it. Their whole goal is to show the world that their treasured Ultimates are not Gods and are not immune to human temptations such as fame, envy, greed and personal gain. They are no above stepping onto each other to get what they want. They are just as flawed as other humans.

Theory on who the first victim is. There's only one person who hasn't appeared in even a second of this trailer (I know she appears, but i have my explantion ok), that person is non other than Toshiko Kayura. Which makes me believe that the first victim of this game is going to be Toshiko. Noticed in 1:12 of the video that only Toshiko, if i'm not mistaken, is the only one using an already used sprite. But not only that, because i'm certain that almost everyone is shown in the class trial portion of the trailer. Also sadly, i don't have a theory on who the first culprit is. But if i have to guess then i'll probably gonna say Grace because while yes, i like Grace and she's literally my favorite character. I do think that she's probably one of the people who are getting called out by the Chapter 1 name, Beneath the Veil of Hypocrisy. Also the reason why i would most likely pick her as the possible culprit is because this will also Unveil the Hypocrisy of Wolfgang Akire, because if you guys remember, Akire trust Grace a lot. I mean throughout the prologue Akire and Grace was essentially glued to each other. So i believe that because they have such a close bond, i think Grace will break that bond by killing Toshiko and breaking that Veil that's covering the hypocrisy of Akire, which is what he"s saying that "Ultimates will not commit murder".
@@paperbag8790 Yeah for sure. A good trailer knows how to be misleading if you ask me. Perfect example was when the first DR game came out, Sayaka was promoted A LOT. You thought she was a main char. It's the Psycho thing all over again. For all we know Toshiko might be a char that lasts awhile.

After thinking about it for almost a day now, i can promptly say that your theory is also pretty valid. But i also have another theory as to why they didn't show Toshiko in the trial portion of the trailer. Firstly, we can safely assume that the people with the dialogue in the trial portion of the trailer is completely going to live, at least before the culprit gets found out. So we can say that Damon, Akire, Grace, Diana, Wenona, Jean, and Eva are guaranteed to be at least not the victim of Chapter 1. And the reason why i say this is because i think that's it'll be pretty hard for the Eden's Garden developers to fabricate such dialogue just for the trailer. Also if they did did it tho then I applause to them because they had such massive balls do that just so they can hide who the first victim is (Also a little side note/Spoilers for Danganronpa V3, If they did do this then it'll bring back major Danganronpa V3 flashback when they advertised Kaede as the protaganist, only to kill her off in the first chapter.) Anyways going back to my theory, I think that Damon, Akire, Grace, Diana, Wenona, Jean, and Eva are guaranteed to be at least not the victim of Chapter 1. So that just leaves us with Cassidy, Desmond, Eloise, Ingrid, Jett, Kai, Mark, Ulysses and of course, Toshiko. Now if we're going with my theory that everyone who was shown in the trial portion of trailer are not the first victim, then the only other person who could be the first victim is Toshiko. Not only is she the most youngest in the whole cast, but she's also the most smallest and easily killable in the first chapter. So it's safe to assume that she's the perfect candidate to be the first victim. But if we are going for the "Eden's Garden has big balls" route, which is also a very understandable take since i was also think about it for almost 20 hours now. I think the only other person that i can see being the first victim is Ulysses. Now let me explain, i know that that was just a huge statement to say, and trust me, it is. But the thing that makes me think that Ulysses is the only other person that i think would be the first victim, is because of his description. If you look at the character introduction that the Project Eden's Garden official account posted on X/Twitter, then you will remember that he had a specific trait that was called out in his description, and that trait was that he records every interaction that he has for future reviewing. And if were gonna assume that the murder is gonna happen in a 3 day span, then it wouldn't even be shocking to find out that the culprit found out about this trait of Ulysses and decided to kill him off in the lights that he might be a threat in the class trial. Also just going off of the remaining people in the cast, i think he's the only other person, besides Toshiko, to be a bit on the "weaker" side of the spectrum. I mean going back to his character introduction posted by the official Project Eden's Garden account that he works himself to the point of exhaustion. So i would even be surprised if the culprit used this fact to their advantage. Of course you could also say that "there are other characters who are on the weaker side of the spectrum" and while yes that is "true", we can most likely put many people in that category like Kai and Mark, but you can't admit that if we put them side by side that the culprit wouldn't decide to kill either Toshiko or Ulysses. Now why didn't i choose either Kai or Mark as the possible victim? Well it's because of their personality. I mean Kai is a very loud kid and i wouldn't even be surprised if the killer was too "intimidated" of Kai, not like he's intimidating. But like, intimidating in a "Oh, if i go for this guy then there might be a possibility of him screaming as i try to kill him." so he's probably out. Now let's move on to Mark, i think it's pretty obvious as to why i think he's not the first victim. If you haven't caught on yet, it's because a person is basically glued to him 24/7, Jett. Ever since the prologue, Jett has been on Mark's side, so i wouldn't even be shocked if it's the same in chapter 1. So yeah, that's my extended theory.
Okay theory time! 1:55 has a significant part off it offscreen. I think it’s this game’s version of Argument Armament and they don’t want to reveal the killer. The retro-game theme makes me want to believe the killer is Cassidy but who knows.
my predictions for chapter 1 (lots of yapping beware) in 0:27, you can see what looks to be a heavily pink bedroom. considering toshiko mainly wears pink, it could be that kai discovered her corpse in her bedroom. (unless it’s kai who has a heavily pink bedroom, if so you do you kai no hate!) plus, it doesn’t help how toshiko is the only one missing! i believe jett will be the culprit because in the official artwork for chapter 1, jett has his back turned. it’s either that or people are going to be heavily suspicious of him during the trial. maybe cassidy too since she’s also featured in the artwork as well in the frame, kai doesn’t look too distraught at (what looks to be discovering toshikos corpses in her room) my best guess is that they went looking for toshiko after she didn’t show up, they enter toshikos room and kai points at what looks to be toshiko peacefully sleeping in her bed. only to discover that she’s dead upon further examination, which can explain why kai doesn’t look distraught since he may be under the impression that toshiko is asleep
I think Jett will be heavily suspected but be innocent, if anything he's probably be the mid-point victim (as in Chapter 3). He's too much of a bro to the others that his death would probably be the spark that makes a chain reaction for the others to lose hope (much like many Chapter 3s where the group's at a breaking point). And also, I suspect that his one-sided friendship with Mark will have some payoff during the later chapters (maybe Mark being tipped off that a recording was faked or something from the SFX being all wrong and Jett gives him some confidence to reveal that to the group) which wouldn't happen if he's the first culprit.

Small theory I just randomly had, since Im wanting to genuinely surprise myself on release but (and forgive me if it gets a little convoluted possibly or doesnt make sense. LOADS of thoughts just from how amazing this trailer is!) The Chameleon, Cassidy, Jett, and Damon in the splash art? I think Dianas a big part of this case. If shes a Killer. Again, IF. If she is, I think shes gonna disguise herself and potentially murder, putting herself under the spotlight of being a complete hypocrite in the end. She puts up this attitude of "We wont give in to your Killing Game!" But...what if she does and cracks due to something during Case 1? Like, her encouragement causes hostility amongst others, which makes her break down and decide to cave. What if she sees Damons hostility as a means to frame him, by disguising herself as him for the meetup with the victim, then killing them? Remember, Im just going off some of the bigger things I noticed in the trailer. Might be more small things I gotta look back at, but id say for damn sure. I think Dianas gonna play a MASSIVE role in this case. Not a Victim I dont think, but likely involved heavily or even the Killer. Now! To answer Lord Tozus question! guys the devs would not make the victim that obvious by not putting her in the trial (toshiko), i think it might just be some trick because a lot of fans have been guessing she’d die first so they make you “confirm” this theory. this trailer is amazing i loved itttt
Damon is my favorite fan game character probably everyone here you don't know how much we support this game i hope it comes soon but take your time we are not going to put pressure on you you don't need to rush it :3
2:00 At first I didn’t understand what was Jean saying until now I kinda agreed with him like if I was in the killing game I would’ve be a suspect instead of just saying I’m innocent because everyone wouldn’t agree with me so I would’ve be a suspect in a case even if it not me in general. And that’s why Jean is my favorite character and my favorite buff character of this series I really want him to be the first buff character to survive because literally every franchise of Danganronpa has zero buff character surviving and literally Sakura and Great Gozu would’ve been the best buff character to survive but they both ended up sacrificing themself and I feel like Jean would done the same but he should’ve survived because I really like him a lot hehe!

@CherutoMSM YES YES WE REALLY DO I MEAN HAVE YOU SEEN ANY DANGANRONPA SPINOFF OR ORIGINAL DANGANRONPA GAMES THAT HAS ANY BUFF CHARACTERS SURVIVING!!!!! Like that is my only point I have because I watched a lot of spinoff of it and every buff character they died in front of me and there characters in general are the same as every buff character in Danganronpa like literally protective and a good supporter and some of them like Kakeru Yamaguchi from SDRA 1 series he was supposed to be the mortal of the story because his sister was in the second but she didn’t participate in the killing game but she was related to her brother Kakeru Yamaguchi on that series so imagine if Teruya didn’t survive and then chapter 5 would be Kakeru death because literally the mastermind killed them off literally it would be a better character development for him but it wouldn’t. But still my point is Jean DeLamer has to survive and average the buff character that never survive I mea he would’ve known it by now and he represents HOPE!!!!!
I was wondering where y'all been! I feared the worst but was like, "There's no way this failed. The artwork, the production, the voice acting, the story. It was all too good to go to waste". And then I thought y'all got picked up by a big studio and was working with them. But I'm happy to finally see some content from yall again!
I don't know about you, but I've been watching the trailer about 21 times since it came out because I can't believe that on the 20th of next month, chapter 1 will be out.
Things i noticed in this trailer 0:12 Damon having a camera in his room (could all of the ultimates have a camera in their room?) 0:20 There is what seems to be blood on the floor at the very bottom 0:45 Tozu and Mara’s faces being on god and Adam, the name of the painting is “the creation of Adam” (My guess is that Mara is Tozu’s daughter, hence why they removed his hair in order to make him seem older. Mara could be adopted however due to the fact of god creating Adam by himself) 1:08 Assuming the trial is fake, Jean being one of the only people in this trailer to speak during the blue section of chapter is suspicious, victim maybe? For the proof that the trial could be fake Desmond’s sprite remains the same at 1:49 during Grace’s segment (this doesn’t really prove anything however because she could’ve spoken after diana* 1:53 The wenona rebuttal when Damon said “if we want to solve this case, we need indisputable evidence is not very appropriate, I mean, why would someone have a rebuttal to that? 1:57 Jean saying that he’d rather be suspected than the reason the trial comes to a standstill doesn’t make sense because they’ll literally die if they choose the wrong culprit Side notes Toshiko is a red herring, obviously Even though the trial is most likely fake, the game at 1:55 has a gaming themed style, that makes me believe that Cassidy could be the culprit In conclusion, I believe it would make more sense to the lore if Jean was a victim, due to his excellent leadership skills and bravery. It would really take a toll on the cast because they would never expect someone like him to be a victim. (It would also break the trope of buff character dying in 4th chapter like they said) Now my culprit choice is shockingly Cassidy. Cassidy never gave victim vibes to me in my opinion. Starting all the way from her Imitation art piece, all the way down to the fact that she was one of the first people to notice that a piece was missing to the tozu statue. Cassidy IS NOT dumb, she just doesn’t have common sense. Even if you get wrong answers in the chapter 0 demo, unlike most of the contestants, she actually corrects you twice. It would be best to at least make her a culprit instead of a victim, especially after the video showing a glance of an image with her and Damon in it. On top of that, it would even make more sense due to the chapter one poster revealing her having a different expression than usual compared to her usual ones. The only downside is the fact that could probably represent her maturing and realizing that they will not make it out alive, so it’s unknown whether she chooses to act on that fear or not.
Personally, I don't think Daemon will die, but he's not the protagonist. He's "our protagonist", but in this story we're the ones who play the trickster's role. The lawyer has more of a hero's role, even though not everything is black and white. The concept is cool.

The victim will either be kai, mark or ulysses, they didn't have any voicelines in the class trial of this trailer, not to mention they are already irrelevant enough as seen in the prologue (you can probably argue saying they did appear in the trial, but the devs mightve just placed them there to make sure we wouldn't figure it out that easily.) My guess is someone sent those letters to various folks posing as Damon and took out one of the members who showed up at the designated place/time in order to frame Damon. The case will be about clearing Damon's name and figuring out who set him up.

Are we as a collective human species ready for the first chapter of Eden’s Garden? CAN we as a species even prepare for such a important event? Now, is it fear of the unknown and what might happen, or is it excitement that compels my hype for the exact same reasons? I’m beyond ecstatic to see what is to come, there really isn’t anything that can truly, definitively capture THE Danganronpa experience besides the games and fan projects inspired by it and after playing through all official and some great fan games already, there still rests a hunger and longing to witness another Danganronpa killing game, Eden’s Garden proved to be my most anticipated Danganronpa games let alone one of my most anticipated games period. The prologue alone hooked my like a fish to a rod with a big worm, sure, the wait may have been a bit long but considering what’s in store game play wise and graphically, and that this is a fan project, and most fanganronpa take wayyyy longer than this (not to hate on other ones), I’m 100% cool with that, my hype still burns for this, and I think that speaks volumes about how good a Project this is.
I could keep going, but there probably ain’t enough words in dictionary to describe my true hype for this, The graphics, the music, the voice acting, the characters, the sprites for the characters, the sound effects and audio, the symbolism and of corse the story. My greatest complements to the team for putting in so much great work and getting this out in a pretty short time considering everything, AND for free?! This may very well be the my favorite Danganronpa experience as it stands, and if the prologue and teasers are anything to go by, it’s only gonna get bigger and better from here! But considering that this is a killing game, I’m a bit worried cause it’s boutta get bad!

I think toshiko not being present is just a red herring. There are probably fake trial scenes used just in this trailer. Also the chapter poster has damon,cassidy,jett and the chameleon symbol which represents diana. So i suppose they are the main protagonists of the chapter, whether it be victims,culprits or important to solve the case. Or maybe cassidy and jett are just put there randomly for red herring purposes. But i believe diana is going to get involved somehow

(I really thought it was obvious this time, like "Yeah of course it's the new chapter" but nope x) but the date reveal is very reasonable. At least I have time now and know far in advance. Oh, actually, it releases at the same time as my winter/christmas break starts!)
Unironically more excited for this than anything else at the moment.
My surface-level predictions about the chapter:
- Someone's cause of death is poison related -- the pharmacy is one of the more prominent areas that they showed here.
- Someone attempts to frame Damon via a fake letter -- we see a glimpse of a letter that says "meet me at **** at 8:10pm , Damon Maitsu". This isn't the only letter we see in the trial, but I think this is different than the others.
- The students realize that this place is made specifically for them -- Damon's room had a carved golden nameplate -- something that isn't exactly quick to make. Whoever has made the game, made it for these students specifically
- Toshiko is NOT the victim -- the devs are too detail-oriented to just throw the fact that we don't see her in the reveal trailer to kill her. If anything, we might see behind her fan and see her face. I think it's more likely that she isn't a key player yet and is just a red herring, especially as she's been predicted to be the first death by fans for a while now.
- If I had to pick who will be a large part of the chapter, by bet's on Jett and Cassidy. He quite literally wears a form of a veil (ala the chapter name) and she rallies behind Damon in one of the splash glimpses. They're also the two featured in the promo art at the end, which may honestly be a red herring. I think that Damon's gonna get caught in between a conflict between the two of them. But honestly, I don't think they'll be victims/killers, but rather used as a literary device to represent conflict (or its resolution...?) in the group. Added note: Cassidy opens the chapter as we've seen in the preview. No matter what, she'll at least get a worrying amount of screen time.
- My personal list of people who I think will live are Damon, Toshiko, Jett, and Cassidy. I'm personally also thinking that Wolfgang, Grace, Jean, and Eva won't be leaving us yet (maybe a killer, but FOR SURE making it to trial wink wink)
- So who's leaving the cast?? I'm gonna go crazy with an out of nowhere guess, but I think Mark (to my own dismay, as they're some of my faves). I'm guessing Mark because there's literally two frames of a recording microphone, and I feel like it'll be from an important CG in the chapter that the devs cut so small intentionally. Maybe some recording incriminates someone idk. I really don't wanna see anyone go so I can't pick a second LMFAO

My guess is that it is very similar to ours and the only difference is this "Ultimate" worship they have going on that is pretty much ingrained into their society. I very much support the theory that Tozu and Mara have a vendetta against the UTP and have been enlisted by whoever is running the killing game to host it.
Their whole goal is to show the world that their treasured Ultimates are not Gods and are not immune to human temptations such as fame, envy, greed and personal gain. They are no above stepping onto each other to get what they want. They are just as flawed as other humans.

Theory on who the first victim is.
There's only one person who hasn't appeared in even a second of this trailer (I know she appears, but i have my explantion ok), that person is non other than Toshiko Kayura. Which makes me believe that the first victim of this game is going to be Toshiko. Noticed in 1:12 of the video that only Toshiko, if i'm not mistaken, is the only one using an already used sprite. But not only that, because i'm certain that almost everyone is shown in the class trial portion of the trailer.

The girl from 2:08 is obviously not Toshiko, i believe that that's Cara Koskinen the Ultimate Teacher's Aid. Because notice the similarly placed, or not placed, bucket in the background. Also Toshiko wear a traditional Japanese wear so if that was Toshiko's body, i think we would see her signature red fit.
Also sadly, i don't have a theory on who the first culprit is. But if i have to guess then i'll probably gonna say Grace because while yes, i like Grace and she's literally my favorite character. I do think that she's probably one of the people who are getting called out by the Chapter 1 name, Beneath the Veil of Hypocrisy. Also the reason why i would most likely pick her as the possible culprit is because this will also Unveil the Hypocrisy of Wolfgang Akire, because if you guys remember, Akire trust Grace a lot. I mean throughout the prologue Akire and Grace was essentially glued to each other. So i believe that because they have such a close bond, i think Grace will break that bond by killing Toshiko and breaking that Veil that's covering the hypocrisy of Akire, which is what he"s saying that "Ultimates will not commit murder".

After thinking about it for almost a day now, i can promptly say that your theory is also pretty valid. But i also have another theory as to why they didn't show Toshiko in the trial portion of the trailer. Firstly, we can safely assume that the people with the dialogue in the trial portion of the trailer is completely going to live, at least before the culprit gets found out. So we can say that Damon, Akire, Grace, Diana, Wenona, Jean, and Eva are guaranteed to be at least not the victim of Chapter 1. And the reason why i say this is because i think that's it'll be pretty hard for the Eden's Garden developers to fabricate such dialogue just for the trailer. Also if they did did it tho then I applause to them because they had such massive balls do that just so they can hide who the first victim is (Also a little side note/Spoilers for Danganronpa V3, If they did do this then it'll bring back major Danganronpa V3 flashback when they advertised Kaede as the protaganist, only to kill her off in the first chapter.)
Anyways going back to my theory, I think that Damon, Akire, Grace, Diana, Wenona, Jean, and Eva are guaranteed to be at least not the victim of Chapter 1. So that just leaves us with Cassidy, Desmond, Eloise, Ingrid, Jett, Kai, Mark, Ulysses and of course, Toshiko. Now if we're going with my theory that everyone who was shown in the trial portion of trailer are not the first victim, then the only other person who could be the first victim is Toshiko. Not only is she the most youngest in the whole cast, but she's also the most smallest and easily killable in the first chapter. So it's safe to assume that she's the perfect candidate to be the first victim.
But if we are going for the "Eden's Garden has big balls" route, which is also a very understandable take since i was also think about it for almost 20 hours now. I think the only other person that i can see being the first victim is Ulysses. Now let me explain, i know that that was just a huge statement to say, and trust me, it is. But the thing that makes me think that Ulysses is the only other person that i think would be the first victim, is because of his description. If you look at the character introduction that the Project Eden's Garden official account posted on X/Twitter, then you will remember that he had a specific trait that was called out in his description, and that trait was that he records every interaction that he has for future reviewing. And if were gonna assume that the murder is gonna happen in a 3 day span, then it wouldn't even be shocking to find out that the culprit found out about this trait of Ulysses and decided to kill him off in the lights that he might be a threat in the class trial.
Also just going off of the remaining people in the cast, i think he's the only other person, besides Toshiko, to be a bit on the "weaker" side of the spectrum. I mean going back to his character introduction posted by the official Project Eden's Garden account that he works himself to the point of exhaustion. So i would even be surprised if the culprit used this fact to their advantage. Of course you could also say that "there are other characters who are on the weaker side of the spectrum" and while yes that is "true", we can most likely put many people in that category like Kai and Mark, but you can't admit that if we put them side by side that the culprit wouldn't decide to kill either Toshiko or Ulysses. Now why didn't i choose either Kai or Mark as the possible victim? Well it's because of their personality. I mean Kai is a very loud kid and i wouldn't even be surprised if the killer was too "intimidated" of Kai, not like he's intimidating. But like, intimidating in a "Oh, if i go for this guy then there might be a possibility of him screaming as i try to kill him." so he's probably out. Now let's move on to Mark, i think it's pretty obvious as to why i think he's not the first victim. If you haven't caught on yet, it's because a person is basically glued to him 24/7, Jett. Ever since the prologue, Jett has been on Mark's side, so i wouldn't even be shocked if it's the same in chapter 1.
So yeah, that's my extended theory.

Okay theory time! 1:55 has a significant part off it offscreen. I think it’s this game’s version of Argument Armament and they don’t want to reveal the killer. The retro-game theme makes me want to believe the killer is Cassidy but who knows.
my predictions for chapter 1 (lots of yapping beware)
in 0:27, you can see what looks to be a heavily pink bedroom. considering toshiko mainly wears pink, it could be that kai discovered her corpse in her bedroom. (unless it’s kai who has a heavily pink bedroom, if so you do you kai no hate!)
plus, it doesn’t help how toshiko is the only one missing!
i believe jett will be the culprit because in the official artwork for chapter 1, jett has his back turned. it’s either that or people are going to be heavily suspicious of him during the trial. maybe cassidy too since she’s also featured in the artwork as well
in the frame, kai doesn’t look too distraught at (what looks to be discovering toshikos corpses in her room)
my best guess is that they went looking for toshiko after she didn’t show up, they enter toshikos room and kai points at what looks to be toshiko peacefully sleeping in her bed. only to discover that she’s dead upon further examination, which can explain why kai doesn’t look distraught since he may be under the impression that toshiko is asleep
I think Jett will be heavily suspected but be innocent, if anything he's probably be the mid-point victim (as in Chapter 3). He's too much of a bro to the others that his death would probably be the spark that makes a chain reaction for the others to lose hope (much like many Chapter 3s where the group's at a breaking point). And also, I suspect that his one-sided friendship with Mark will have some payoff during the later chapters (maybe Mark being tipped off that a recording was faked or something from the SFX being all wrong and Jett gives him some confidence to reveal that to the group) which wouldn't happen if he's the first culprit.

If shes a Killer. Again, IF. If she is, I think shes gonna disguise herself and potentially murder, putting herself under the spotlight of being a complete hypocrite in the end. She puts up this attitude of "We wont give in to your Killing Game!" But...what if she does and cracks due to something during Case 1? Like, her encouragement causes hostility amongst others, which makes her break down and decide to cave.
What if she sees Damons hostility as a means to frame him, by disguising herself as him for the meetup with the victim, then killing them?
Remember, Im just going off some of the bigger things I noticed in the trailer. Might be more small things I gotta look back at, but id say for damn sure. I think Dianas gonna play a MASSIVE role in this case. Not a Victim I dont think, but likely involved heavily or even the Killer.

I don't know about you, but I've been watching the trailer about 21 times since it came out because I can't believe that on the 20th of next month, chapter 1 will be out.
Things i noticed in this trailer
0:12 Damon having a camera in his room (could all of the ultimates have a camera in their room?)
0:20 There is what seems to be blood on the floor at the very bottom
0:45 Tozu and Mara’s faces being on god and Adam, the name of the painting is “the creation of Adam” (My guess is that Mara is Tozu’s daughter, hence why they removed his hair in order to make him seem older. Mara could be adopted however due to the fact of god creating Adam by himself)
1:08 Assuming the trial is fake, Jean being one of the only people in this trailer to speak during the blue section of chapter is suspicious, victim maybe?

Even though the trial is most likely fake, the game at 1:55 has a gaming themed style, that makes me believe that Cassidy could be the culprit
In conclusion, I believe it would make more sense to the lore if Jean was a victim, due to his excellent leadership skills and bravery. It would really take a toll on the cast because they would never expect someone like him to be a victim. (It would also break the trope of buff character dying in 4th chapter like they said)
Now my culprit choice is shockingly Cassidy. Cassidy never gave victim vibes to me in my opinion. Starting all the way from her Imitation art piece, all the way down to the fact that she was one of the first people to notice that a piece was missing to the tozu statue. Cassidy IS NOT dumb, she just doesn’t have common sense. Even if you get wrong answers in the chapter 0 demo, unlike most of the contestants, she actually corrects you twice. It would be best to at least make her a culprit instead of a victim, especially after the video showing a glance of an image with her and Damon in it. On top of that, it would even make more sense due to the chapter one poster revealing her having a different expression than usual compared to her usual ones. The only downside is the fact that could probably represent her maturing and realizing that they will not make it out alive, so it’s unknown whether she chooses to act on that fear or not.
I think killer is going to be Diana, I might be wrong but she is going to be heavily involved in this chapter

Personally, I don't think Daemon will die, but he's not the protagonist. He's "our protagonist", but in this story we're the ones who play the trickster's role. The lawyer has more of a hero's role, even though not everything is black and white. The concept is cool.

The victim will either be kai, mark or ulysses, they didn't have any voicelines in the class trial of this trailer, not to mention they are already irrelevant enough as seen in the prologue (you can probably argue saying they did appear in the trial, but the devs mightve just placed them there to make sure we wouldn't figure it out that easily.)

I'm pretty much guessing that Ulysses will be the 1st victim, his routine Journal has a huge potentional on becoming a piece of evidence dangling around the corner especially how forgetful he is on remembering things
I think the victim will be someone who got a lot of focus in the prologue, since they already got a bunch of screentime compared to others.
