      This test is only to show which CPU is faster. Using a slower GPU would bottleneck the test.
      If you used a RTX 2060 for example, there would be no difference between the CPU because the GPU would be holding both CPU's back. You might think that since having a slow GPU means you don't have to care which is faster, then you also have to remember that GPU's are replaced more regularly than CPU's.
      So today you might own a 2060, but in 2 years you might upgrade to a cheap RTX 4060 that is on par with today's RTX 3080 or 3090. and by that time, you will find that the results you see in this video will be the same results you experience when you own the 4060.

    Those 1% lows looking mighty fine on the 12400. I think the price of a platform from 9th/10th gen is almost worth it, as multithreading on the 12400 is almost 60% faster. When it comes down to buying a new pc, a 12400 + its platform can be bought for only like $50 more than the 10400/11400 route. 12th gen is the way to go IMO

    • @jorisfrugier3521

      You are wrong with price. The 12400F is 20% more expensive than 10400F but motherboard board too (50%) and cooling too (100%). Yes, it's more powerful but with accessories, it's very more expensive. The best solution is the 11600k were the performance are just the same than 12400F but accessories (MB, cooling) are cheapest.

    • @deadly_mir
      @deadly_mir 2 роки тому +4

      @@jorisfrugier3521 b660 isnt 50% more expensive though...and neither is cooling. B460 & B560 midrange boards that make sense with the 10400F are only $130-150. With the 12400 they're $130-160. Cooling on the 10400 you can buy a vetroo v5 for $35. 12400 you can buy the EXACT same cooler. All this is only like $20 more but your getting about 47% more performance than the 10400F. Step up $100 and you get 115% more performance out of the 12600K. 11600k isnt a smatt buy unless you already have an 11th gen low end cpu on socket 1200 still. Otherwise the extra fee bucks should go into a 12400/12600K, NOT a more expensive motherboard for the 11600k

      @falkensteinfallen1288 2 роки тому +3

      You know all system have bottleneck, you can put an I5 12400 or F with a GTX 1050 TI, it will work. The bottleneck would come from the GTX 1050 TI if you did, as the I5 12400 would help your GPU to unlish at his maximum, but you could do it with worse a worse CPU. The I5 12400 and 10400 can undle way more powerfull GPU, this benchmark is to show wich one of the 2 CPU is the more powerfull, that's why they put them with an top end GPU, so that the GPU would not be the bottleneck. As you can see with the I5 12400 there is more GPU usage so he is the best between the 2. I myself have an I5 10400 with an RX 580 8GB, my GPU run at 100% will playing (that's good, it's mean my GPU is running at max, so he is the bottleneck), and the CPU have long way to go before 100% so I could easily put a better GPU in my desktop, but for now I will not be doing it because of the price and the fact that the performance I get in the games I am playing are good for me. I will put my money on a laptop, as it is what would help me a lot more, I would be able to play when I am not at home, and get good battery life when not playing if I get one of the two model I am thinking about.

A safe range is less than around mid 70’s. But mid 60’s ideal. If your’ pc is overheating you could add more case fans until you have around 3 or 2 or buy an aftermarket cpu cooler . Even though the stock cooler is adequate I brought a hyper 212 evo 2 for like £30. Also because you’re playing at 720p your’ cpu will be a lot more important. Your’ pc is very strong for 720p.
