Update: Chibi-Robo Park Patrol did not release in Europe. I saw it had a PAL release and assumed it did release here, it did not. It did however release in Australia, that's the only PAL release it got.
To clarify, what I meant by import taxes in Norway is that, this game is so rare, and I never see it for sale within the country, so my only option was importing it which would make it far more expensive. But thankfully I didn’t have to deal with that to get my copy.

Yeah... kinda sucks that people didn't really support the original game. I can't even remember how I got a copy... could have been used, but I think I played it first in like '06 so... perhaps I actually bought it new at the store?? Sadly I sold all my GameCube stuff a few years later (at a pretty low price... ugh), but in maybe 2015 I started collecting a little here and there again... and sometime after that I got the GameCube original for free! ...though sadly it came without a case... and last I checked cases are like 60-90 dollars. Empty cases! (I might just get a reproduction case... won't be the same, but it'll work.) AND THEN... I should probably mod my GameCube so I can play in HD! Ha... well, maybe I'll settle my CRT S-Video setup that I already have. Its pretty good. Big 27" Sony Trinitron.
But of course, there are so many games to play, its hard to imagine ever finding time to play this one again... although I'm motivated by both nostalgia and the fact that I never finished it.

Yeah a replica case is probably the way to go. You could buy glossy photo paper and find a high quality scan online and print it out. Or find someone online who does good prints. But I hope you’re enjoying rebuilding that collection!

@@Forrealsyall Hey, thanks man, I really appreciate that! Yeah, good idea about attempting my own print, but I might go the lazy route and see if there's a good seller out there. I saw one a few years ago, but... images seemed a bit dark. But yep, having fun collecting. Lately getting into 4K UHD and standard Blu-ray collecting... spent too much, gotta settle down soon, ha. (Still got my eye on some Switch and retro games though.)
...Uh, this was meant to be short, heh.

You barely mentioned photo finder... I can understand why though... unfortunately it was the last real Chibi-Robo game, and a pretty bad one at that. The character's storylines are as shallow as they were in Chibi-Robo Park Patrol and the overall main plot can be summed up by: Some french guy ordered a Chibi-Robo to time travel and bring back artifacts from the past known as nostaljunk and display them in a museum. After Chibi-Robo fills up a few exhibits, the man gets a call from a newstation wanting to give him an interview and so he rehearses a speech on nostaljunk, only for the interview to be held by a non credible comedy station who traumatizes the man by asking him about cake.... After the interview, he is haunted by cake and ponders hard on the subject until he embraces cake and it's resemblance to the nostaljunk. Eventually he is offered to hold an educational lecture on the subject of nostaljunk by the society of culture and is even offered a book deal. His book becomes successful and Chibi-Robo fills up the museum which becomes a popular attraction even earning the man an award of cultural contribution. The game is very repetitive with it's six rooms, restricted to tabletops and desks with the exception of the patio, but it's so small that it doesn't even matter. The music and sound effects are boring and lack the rest of the series charm. The characters offer more fleshed out minigames which are pretty fun, and the gimmick of turning real world pictures into nostaljunk is really fun, but things get too repetitive with how small the explorable areas are this time around. I really wonder if the game was originally going to be more fleshed out as the rooms are pretty detailed for not being fully accessible, and no one has even dumped their models online so we can never tell..... I hope Nintendo will at least give us a remake of the first game...

Yeah a remake would be great, more people deserve to be able to play that first game, it’s something special.
